Honestly I feel you and your opinions and those that have similar opinions are far more of a threat to the moral fabric of our nation than homosexuals are.

it can not be a deliberate agenda.
so it must be either a passing fad, or the way of the future.

to call it an assault would be to assign characteristics to the increase in homosexuality and the promotion of it in our media and academia which make it sound like more than what it is - just homosexuals becoming politically (whatever that means) active and homosexuality in general becoming popular.

i'm sure that's all it is.

Yeah it's a great thing for the unsure young Christian seeking guidance to see this. I'm sure he'll now be convinced of gods love.

Yes I can easily explain. Matthew 21:31 “Which of the two did what his father wanted?” “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you.

Can I ask you something? Do the gays sin more than us because of their gayness? are we any better than them? They are still God's children until the day of judgment, Let he without sin cast the first stone

The original poster couldve mentioned any group of people and make a comment about their sins. But this was a deliberate singling out of gay people. Quite sinister really.

So, I take it by this that you regard homosexuality as a moral positive.

God's children are exclusively believers, not including unbelievers.

I have two cousins who(were)are gay. One is deceased. Technically John died of cancer but what he really died from is hatred. The same hatred propagated by people who continue to write threads like these. There are many things I do not know so let me just talk about things I do know.

I know John struggled with being gay his entire life. For a very long time he didn't give in to his own desires. Eventually he did. One day he was coming out of a gay club and was beaten half to death. He was hospitalized for weeks and after this event, he mostly stayed in his own home. He was diagnosed with cancer some years later and chose not to receive treatment mostly because as he told me "I hate what I am." He died within months.

What I see when I read posts like this is no different than those men who beat John. This is why I answered your question the way I did. Surely you don't condone beating gays do you? But what about your words, what are you promoting? love or hatred?

The one of you without sin cast the first stone. Isn't this just casting stones? I believe instead of judging others(you are going to hell because you are gay!) we should be focused on loving others. So, the simplest of questions remains, Is this about loving others or is it about something else? It doesn't seem to me to be about loving others. Maybe someone can explain to me how I am wrong.

I sympathize with your loss. I have relatives who are homosexuals as well. My question was do you regard homosexuality as a moral positive?

You're not wrong Joey. I have gay friends who I know have a relationship with God, they struggled with their homosexuality too. I remember when Matthew Shepard was beaten to death. It made me sick. There are many Christians who think a gay person can switch their sexuality on and off like a light switch, they can't.

It comes down to people wrongly believing it's a choice rather than just being born that way.

I didn't make a choice to be attracted to women. I just am. I could never sleep with another man, not because of what god says but because I simply don't find men attractive!

People here seem to be under some delusion that we are all walking around with an intense desire to sleep with men but are resisting thanks to strength given to us by god and the ones who do give into this temptation don't believe in god.

It really doesn't work like that. No rational thinking person would think its a choice. Not with the hatred they have to endure after making it.

It is absolutely true that we all sin and my own lusts of the flesh may be equal to OR worse than homosexual lusts. The BIG difference is I won't tell you that my sin isn't sin!! REPENTANCE! THAT is the key to one of the most quoted verses by those trying to justify theirs or others sin.John 8:7And as they continued to ask him, he stood up and said to them, “Let him who is without sin among you be the first to throw a stone at her.” BUT they NEVER quote what Jesus says to HER! John 8:11[SUP]11 [/SUP]She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

Go and sin no more. Repentance MUST follow forgiveness.
