i am really trying to not stick my entire foot into my mouth on this one.
Ehrman, is so Liberal, he was Episcopal, which we know how similar they are to the RCC.

The Episcopal Church is similar to the Roman Catholic Church in many ways. They have bishops, priests, deacons, sacraments, weekly communion, saints, monks and nuns. We celebrate the same church seasons and share many of the same feast days.

so, for him to claim he is agnostic, is a joke. in my opinion, he was never Saved to begin with.

knowing him, he probably invests half of his concessions + salary to the mythical Purgatory. So, he can live like Satan now and mislead innocent new born Followers of God.

I am someone who cherishes and places importance in interpreting the manuscripts of the biblical text
many Christians have different beliefs about Greek Septuagint, - such as - its validity of having existed before Jesus Christ.

I personally do not believe that the Greek Septuagint existed before Jesus Christ and that it was a later development that was truly constructed around hundreds of years thereafter

The Septuagint is one of the major proponents for Christians advocating evidence for their doctrine that Angels are called as
" Sons Of God '" because the Greek Septuagint is different than the Hebrew manuscripts of the the Masoretic text such as we see in the different source / versions of Genesis 6:1–4 _ " " in some versions of the Septuagint "

other modern translations vary in their use of "sons of God". Some manuscripts of the Septuagint have emendations to read "sons of God" as "angels".

also - Codex Vaticanus contains "angels" originally. In Codex Alexandrinus "sons of God" has been omitted and replaced by "angels".

If we study the Masoretic text, upon further study of the book of Job we find a passage where God is speaking to Job in a whirlwind in
-
Job 38:7

We find the passage here in verse :7

Sang together the stars and the morning when rejoiced all the children of God

The Bible has a few places that mentions phrases and terms such as

son of the morning -
rising in the morning -
the morning -
morning star
-

In the Bible, these terms and many, many, many " MORNING “ stage terms are simply the symbolic allegoric meaning of the character and denotation and the illustration of the meaning. - - as to exist, be born, to rise or own, to control or dominate the early morning dawn of a history timeline context - as a beginning or even a predominate period of time.

as to have dominion at the beginning or start or onset of a beginning time, also the dawn, MORNING has a symbolic meaning to begin, break, arrive, emerge - or come into existence as new era or the beginning of a phenomenon or period of time also these terms have meaning to imply something considered favorable, dominating, controlling or first or primary control. -

The son of the morning - rising in the morning - the morning - morning star means the Origins of a primary, early or firstly originating place or existence, to exist at the beginning of a period or even to possess a possession of rightfulness as of that obtaining the right of power.

These expressive phrases are used in such passages as

Rev 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star.

Rev 22:16 I, Jesus, have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star.

Psa 110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning : thou hast the dew of thy youth.

Eze 7:6 An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it :7 The morning is come unto thee,

Hos 10:15 So shall Bethel do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off.

Jer 21:4 You will fight against the king of Babylon :12 O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning.

There are other verses that are symbolic of the word “ morning
in this regard … I believe that t
he passage in Job 38:7 is mentioning the Sons Of God and their existing / existence as related to a morning as their very own time when they were existing as the creation of man and into their generations when they began to multiply.

furthermore, we see the chapter goes on to continue to describe the creation of the heavens and earth - but it is also jumping to signification of reference to the ZODIAC planetary stars and signs in the heavens

:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
Canst thou bring forth the PLANETS in his season?

then moving back and forth between the beginning of the heaven and earths creation and also the “ LATER “ literal creatures, birds, lions, prey, animals and mankind, all whom were “ LATER “ created as well, still all within the same context with the creation of heavens and earth

or canst thou guide the Bear with his sons?
Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven?
Canst thou send lightnings,

:39 Wilt thou hunt the prey for the lion? or fill the appetite of the young lions,
:40 When they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?
8:41 Who provideth for the raven his food? when his young ones cry unto God, they wander for lack of meat.

I believe that the chapter is not attempting to limit the context specially centering only upon creation to a heaven and earth limiting time period but it is moving back and forth between the creation of animals, creatures and birds and prey, lions and bears and the creation of man who were

it is just mentioning the “ Sons Of God “ in their own respects as to when the sons of God were existing at a later time after the beginning of the creation- meaning
- OF THE MORNING WHEN REJOICED ALL OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.

is it possible to see the the chapters context as not specifically couched within a doctrine or THEOLOGDY to the transmitting a belief system to throw special cue cards or hints or a special clues or a prophetic winks or revelations and special understandings about SILENTLY hinting, cueing or winking to an ideology that “ Angels are being called Sons Of God - “ ?

could this be understood as a broader description of the power of God's creativeness and moving back and forth between the heaven and earths creation at the beginning and also to a later time period of the literal creatures, birds, lions, prey, animals and mankind created as well, all within the same context with the creation of heavens and earth
and for the mankind - saying “ OF THE MORNING WHEN REJOICED ALL OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD “
and not specifically focusing only upon the creation of the heavens and earth limiting the reader to perceive this statement as this timeframe alone as intended for angels as sons of God created beforehand ?

when we look at the Masoretic text from the Hebrew manuscripts
Job 38:7

ברן Sang - יחד together - כוכבי the stars - בקר and the morning - ויריעו when rejoiced - כל all - בני the children אלהים׃ of God

manuscript - meaning

:7 SANG TOGETHER THE STARS AND THE MORNING REJOICED ALL THE CHILDREN OF GOD

:4 WHERE WERE YOU WHEN FOUNDATIONS WERE LAID OF THE EARTH TELL IF YOU KNOW UNDERSTANDING
:5 WHO LAID THE MEASURES IF YOU KNOW OR WHO STRETCHED UPON IT THE LINE
:6 UPON WHAT THE FOUNDATIONS WERE SETTLED OR WHO DIRECTED THE STONES CORNERS

:7 SANG TOGETHER THE STARS AND THE MORNING AND REJOICED ALL THE CHILDREN OF GOD

this is the word for word translation - exactly, word for word, from the manuscript, I believe that by understanding exactly what the manuscripts say, it can be realized that when - REJOICED ALL THE CHILDREN OF GOD - the original message is not necessary attempting to place the Children or SONS Of God rejoicing exactly on day one of the creation or at any particular time

is a time settled within the description ? - or just the Lord asking Job about the children of God rejoicing when it was = =
THE MORNING WHEN REJOICED ALL OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD

was this morning = meaning as the new dawning / beginning of mankind's creation upon the earth ?

I just do not find evidence of a Greek Septuagint,

but are not all of the claims of an existent - Greek Septuagint, simply claims and rumors about this book existing before Christ

I have spent 15 years diligently studying and open minded to find proof of a Greek Septuagint existing before Yahashua

IF the Greek Septuagint existed in the big Library of Alexandria before in 642 Ad when the Muslim invaders destroyed and burned all of the books - why for 600 years did no one make copies of the Greek Septuagint

all we have is a claim such as to say " it is possible a Greek Septuagint existed in the big Library of Alexandria because of the abundance of research material available at the library. "

this is simply a rumor, claim and theory,. of all of the available fragments, flakes and tattered crumbled shards of crumbling pieces of manuscript found today dating back before Yahashua -- there are not even enough of these fragments and flakes that have been found to provide even 1 % of manuscripts texts that make up a complete BC Greek Septuagint.

how is that evidence, I would like to know that this Greek Septuagint exists but less that 1 % of all manuscripts texts existing before Yahashua - is not proof that there was a completed Greek Old Testament,

it just proves that some individuals were translating portions of the Old Testament verses into Greek and their translations were abandoned, discarded, lost and had crumbled and vanished into tiny fragments and flakes and that no - one had distributed or made copies -

showing that not a single one piece of evidence shows that even a single page of the Greek Septuagint had been distributed anywhere.

Thanks, Precious friend, but may be a little too deep for some of us simple-minded students. I do look up the few archaic words in the KJV, when needed, otherwise I
try to follow these Bible study rules the best I can, with the faith God Has Given me.

Amen.
Good news for you, precious friend! :)

The key to all understanding is to seek it directly from the source. He who gives us comfort is the selfsame as the giver of all wisdom and understanding concerning all things great and small.

Matthew 7:
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

I agree. If only we understood all of scripture in perfect interpretation and there was no need for debates on translation. Unfortunately, due to our limited abilities we are left with studying multiple translations, interlinear Bibles, and those who try to interpret the mysterious.

The Bible is Holy Spirit inspired but humans due to ignorance, biases, emotions, and poor hermeneutics can make a mess of things.
there’s also a design of the Bible that interprets it’s self

the ot is prophetic , the nt is fulfillment

what I mean is there’s the ot prophecy around 700 bc

“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭

then the new testement fulfillment of the law and prophets about 700 years later

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:21-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The new testement is the fulfillment and reality we don’t have to see it as mysterious we can see it as the answer to the ot mysteries

if we let the New Testament interpret the Old Testament it’s already plain like Jesus said it Nate’s of being brilliant religious minds we can just be like kids learning from thier father the Bible is designed to be understood by people and no one ever needs to have any special interpretive powers it’s desing is perfect

The New Testament is about the fulfillment of the old

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, and said unto them,

Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:44-

The ot scriptures were about Jesus the messiah coming to Jerusalem speaking Gods word of life , being rejected by them and crucified and raised up again and then raised up to the throne of heaven and sent by the gospel to all the world for salvstion

its not hard to understand it’s hard for some to accept the gospel as being Gods everlasting truth

Its really already interpreted for us that’s what the apostles writings are about I think people read it like it’s a mystery which is why it seems like a mystery but the nt is the explaination of the ot mysteries

there’s also a design of the Bible that interprets it’s self
As long as we understand that Scripture interprets Scripture and that the OT should not be used to establish New Testament doctrine, other than support for what is found in the NT. If you wish to know about the afterlife, you do not resort to Ecclesiastes.
