Look up Isaiah 53:6 and read thru to 11 shows both in Christ

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.

And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither
was any deceit in his mouth.

Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.

He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

Therefore will I divide him
a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his nameJESUS:
for he shall save his people from their sins.

And he is the propitiation for our sins:
and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.

Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the wolrd

Thats just a few

yahweh told john directly.

also, perhaps most important of all, and rarest today, john the immerser knew and kept yahweh's WORD always,
and like yahweh's people today who are not deficient in yahweh's WORD, sin is plainly exposed by HIS WORD.

1 John 2:1,2

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

yes of course indeed but this is NT not OT - perhaps the NT Holy Ghost didn't tell John - wincam

Yes, not only the Sins of His Own Kids, notice John is writing this to those who are His Own, but the describing the 'sins of the world', NOW the sins of the world, what would those be? awwwee.. let us move forward in time as Daniels 70th week begins and God's Eternal Combine begins, man in rebellion, holding out the Word of Truth in un righteousness, takes the fruit , once again, and believes he/she can become like God.... a false bride , a Harlot , the Word Calls it, going forward and deceiving the masses with its counterfeit gospel, a gospel which adulterates, merchandises the Word of God , motivating man to believe he/she can build the kingdom of Heaven on this earth without 'Heaven' and its Commander Returning as Foretold... indeed! God will judge this abomination, along with its followers, because He is Holy and Just ... man thru the power of the serpent (devil) will almost take this planet and its occupants to destruction , the planet and man included, this un belief in the Risen Christ, and mans pride and presumptuouness to Replace Him with a man made Christ, are the 'sins' of the World, that global UN BELIEF in God's Best, the Gift of Righteousness, the Person of Jesus the Christ, God manifest in the flesh... man's utter rebellion in the end to replace the Blood of Christ with pharmaceutical behavior medication (witchcraft-sorcery) in his/her attempt to mold an individual into their 'image of a christian'. will Bring the Wrath of God upon that Abomination that produces that gospel and carnal kingdom.. the sins of the World, un belief, Christ Went to the Tree for this also and not only these but the Sins of those He calls and Saves! Genuinely , according to His predeterminate Sovereign Counsel and Will. which was Decreed before Time and Dirt were created! indeed!

the way I heard it and was told was that a loud voice camr from heaven and told John and others and it seems Yahweh/Holy Ghost did not recognise Him and neither did John - wincam

Okay....but.....Next time could you please present some scripture to back your point, DH?
I should make everyone fetch my chapter verses as they always want me to go fetch theirs, even their own words as are mishmashed into scriptures lol

Hey, this is not typical of me,

I was testing something out in that post.

Which is actually proving to be very valuable (in respects to other points) 100% unrelated to this thread
Which are valuable for me later on.

I love those.

mark 1:4 cjb - so it was that yochanan the immerser - bible gateway

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Mark+1:4...

so it was that yochanan the immerser appeared in the desert, proclaiming an
immersion involving turning to yahweh from sin in order to be forgiven.

he knew more than anyone here knows. a lot of people/ "christians" aren't forgiven ..... because "for lack of (true experiential knowledge and obedience to and of yahweh's word/yahweh/yahshua/truth) "my people" perish"
as given as you are to inserting Hebrew-isms into your manner of speech, and decrying "gentiles" and such,
it is really shocking to me every time i see you write the name of God and not even bother to capitalize it,
much less observe it with the honor that the Jews did, fearing even to write it down in any more abbreviated form than YHWH, lest they be guilty of taking it in vain and displeasing Him.

just an observation.

carry on.

. .

he knew more than anyone here knows.
but on topic,

what did my Lord say comparing Yochanan with those that are found in Christ?

Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist.
Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

(Matthew 11:11)

perhaps your assertion of our lowliness is premature. i certainly feel least, but can i deny what He has said?
