If you want to help someone be free from sin you have to take them to the Eye Doctor...
I preach believing in the words of Jesus Christ as well, because His words are Truth, even His words of being set free from sin. I want people to be set free by believing in His words, which I preach. Believing in the Truth can set you free. Those who say you cannot be set free from sin are not of the Truth, but do lie.

If your focus is on sin it can't be on the Lord Jesus.
You have to focus on one or the other.
When I look at Jesus, I see my sin all the more clearly.

It would be nice if someone responded to this :)

That's the problem with many co called Christians, they do not examine themselves for sin. If you are committing sin you are servant of sin, and a servant abides not in the house forever. Jesus came to take away our sins, and to also set us free from ongoing sin, why do people hate this message? Because if they examine themselves they prove themselves by sin to be reprobate.

I preach the forgiveness of sins, and the being set free from the bondage of ongoing sin by faith in Jesus Christ. So those who argue against me, are arguing for the opposite position of this, which is nothing more than self justification of ongoing sin.
the Bible should be used as a mirror to examine ourselves and our lives, not as a window to stare at everyone else. my pastor says this from time to time, and I 100% agree. you preach " you have to be perfect for God to love and accept you". lot of window looking, you need to use the Word as a mirror.

My message is the Lord can set you free from sin, as He has set me free, is this not good news? Unless of course you do not believe the message, then it becomes a message of one who is reproving others of sin. But this also is a function of those who have the Holy Spirit, we reprove the world of sin because they believe not the words of Jesus Christ.

I have never seen in all my many years even one Christian who uses the freedom of grace to sin. Or, as you put it, an excuse for ongoing sin.

Not a real Christian who loves Jesus and lives for him.

Not one.
Been asleep have we? One sees these characters everyday. How many "Christians" do you know who keep the fourth Commandment?

Allow me to add...

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psa 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Psa 19:10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
Psa 19:11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Psa 19:12 Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
Psa 19:13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1Jn 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1Jn 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

I wonder if there will be a ginormous wall in heaven to separate the ones here who are perfect in their own eyes so that they will not have to look upon us mere mortals who have only been saved by Gods grace

Do you suppose the angels are working on it even now?

Oh what glory there will be when us saved by grace folks see our Savior face to face

Those saved by self righteousness and finger pointing can meet for cocktails and gossip in the self congratulatory limbo of their own imaginations

And of course no one will be insulted by my post because you are all so very filled to the brim with lots of Jesus love and respect for other believers and of course how could anyone possibly offend perfection...duh

Salt of the earth? Yeah I'm thinking more like rancid butter or something

This is not why Jesus died

Since I have already been called all manner of names by some of you and lied about and mocked...I forgive you in Jesus Name..you don't know what you are doing

Hyper-gracers

We are honest because Jesus's victory was to show we could never win and would have to rely on Him in our sin and defeat.
I mean if you wanted us to walk in your righteousness, we could easily, but ours is so hard, it is a joke so why bother.
And we do not have to because we are already forgiven.

Paul simply says the law is given for sinner to show they fall short.
It is meant to drive them into learning love from the heart

all you just did is prove once again you have utterly no idea of what those who preach grace believe, teach or base their Christian walk in.

So why don't you just stop ok? You do not know or understand and you keep making yourself look bad by continually bearing false witness against others (which by the way, is also a sin)

Hey EG. What have I got wrong?

You do not believe you can walk in righteousness. You believe your sin is forgiven as you commit it.
You say your righteousness is Christ so God looks as you as pure. Now we both agree with this.

Now some believe in a pure perfect spirit born in the believer which is what you walk in, with sonship etc.

The role of the flesh is a bit flacky and why there needs to be change in your emotional background, because it is irrelevant.

What makes it more complex is different people have varying theology. Some accept sin is the issue going forward, you have to accept it by faith, others that everyone is forgiven.

Now I do not know which version this you accept. Joseph is a wof, prosperity and hyper-grace preacher.
You claimed you were not into prosperity, where as Grace7x77 is and Willie-T.

Utterly no idea is as usual an extreme. I think I have a pretty good idea, after reading their definitions of faith.
Grace8 agreed with my summary the other day. So I do not hold with your critism which actually probably demonstrates you do not understand it yourself.

You are trying to win me over to something, but you have not really shown me what. What is going to convict me of my sin? Not the Holy Spirit. The word of God. Nope. My conscience? Has to accept sin is there. So you are coming up empty here. Am I doomed to hell? No I believe on Jesus. I should walk like you do? No thanks, you are scared of being sent to Hell rather than resting in Jesus's love. Have you entered into the rest in Christ? Funny I have because I have nothing to prove, I am a sinner saved by the cross. Amen and hallelujah. Or do you want to snatch salvation away from me?

But as Jesus says you can't.

What summary was that Peter? If your speaking of your summary of how to be saved.

All I said was," Thanks Peter"

Amen to that....Jesus was clear....the born again spirit is indeed willing, but the flesh is weak....I for one am tired of those who will deny that the born again, never sinning, eternal spirit is housed in a fallen, wicked sinful weak body of flesh and the two constantly war one against the other for control.......they reject the present tense statements by Paul and his own difficulties when it comes to this line of thought.......

The law is not "sin" its the strength of sin... Its produces sinful passions and desires in those under the law... That's why you find the more legalistic a group is ..the more ungodly the group is... the farther a group gets from the righteousness of faith...the farther from God that group becomes.

You do not believe you can walk in righteousness. You believe your sin is forgiven as you commit it.

1. I never said we could not walk in righteousness, Thats a lie

2. My sin was forgiven the moment Jesus said it is finished. If it was not forgiven then, I am hellbound with no hope.

You say your righteousness is Christ so God looks as you as pure. Now we both agree with this.
do we?

The blood splattered on the mercy seat, what did that represent?

if the roll of the flesh was irrevelent, ot the point we did not have to worry about it, God would never have wanred us so much about it And wwe would actually have the ability to be sinless.

What makes it more complex is different people have varying theology. Some accept sin is the issue going forward, you have to accept it by faith, others that everyone is forgiven.
It is not complex. It is grace, it becomes complex when people add things to grace,, thus making it a different gospel. which is no gospel at all (gal 3)
Now I do not know which version this you accept. Joseph is a wof, prosperity and hyper-grace preacher.
You claimed you were not into prosperity, where as Grace7x77 is and Willie-T.
as long as we have the correct gospel. non of the other disagreements matter, God will straighten them out when we get to heaven,

If we have the wrong gospel, We are going to hell, and non of the disagreements matter, because what good are they? We will still go to hell if we do not repent.

Utterly no idea is as usual an extreme. I think I have a pretty good idea, after reading their definitions of faith.

if you did, you could actually come close to telling me what I believe and not have to be corrected as to where you missed my point so much.

You are trying to win me over to something, but you have not really shown me what. What is going to convict me of my sin? Not the Holy Spirit. The word of God. Nope. My conscience? But as Jesus says you can't.

Your not saved by the cross. You teach it, say you believe it, But if you did believe it any more than the people in James did (you believe it, but you do not actually TRUST IT) , if you had pure faith in it, You would be like me and believe in eternal security.

You lack security because you are still placing yourself into the equation. God can not fail. You can fail. So you can lose salvation.

Thats your issue, Give it all to christ, I can not convince you, only God can.
