You know, I have thought a lot about the (love) of God lately and what the truth has to say about it. I understand that we are to love the following...

1. God with all our being
2. The word of God
3. Our neighbor as ourselves
4. Our brothers and sisters in Christ

Concerning number 4 above, God states thru John in 1st John 4:20, "If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, two can he love God whom he hath not seen?"

I wonder how many times we have sung "O How I Love Jesus" while holding grudges and or anger against a brother/sister in Christ. Jesus loves us in spite of ourselves and as God's children we are expected to follow the word of God and love our brothers and sisters in Christ, even the ones who get on our nerves, the ones who drive us crazy and the ones we occasionally want to choke (JOKING) (WOULD NEVER DO THIS) HAH! May God give us a godly love that the world can see that we are in deed the disciples of Christ.

OR, how many times do we pray Our Father who art in heaven......and get to the part that says And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Do we really do that??!!

Yeah I agree, and or pray to be forgiven, and we have yet to forgive those who have sinned against us.

Thank you for posting this. It is good to be reminded of forgiving our brothers and sisters. I know that I pray often to be forgiven, I need to remember to always forgive others.

Yes in deed. Jesus love us and forgives us and to forgive a trespass against oneself is divine and rises above human nature.
