The Calling

Heb. 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions [that were] under the first testament, THEY WHICH ARE CALLED might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Going Up

1Cor. 15:24 Then [cometh] the end, when He shall have DELIVERED UP the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power

1Cor. 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be RAISED INCORRUPTIBLE, and we shall be changed.

John 6:44 No man can come to Me except the Father which hath sent Me draw him and I will RAISE HIM UP at the last day.

John 6:54 Whoso eateth My flesh and drinketh My blood hath eternal life and I will RAISE HIM UP at the last day.

The Gathering

John 11:52 And not for that nation only, but that also he should GATHER TOGETHER IN ONE THE CHILDREN OF GOD that were scattered abroad.

Mat. 24:31 And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall GATHERED TOGETHER HIS ELECT from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mat. 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but GATHER THE WHEAT INTO MY BARN.

Isa. 49:18 Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these GATHER THEMSELVES TOGETHER, [and] COME TO THEE. [As] I LIVE, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them [on thee], as a bride [doeth].

The City

Christ clearly promises, that the righteous will be received to where he is.
He is in New Jerusalem, preparing it for us.

John 14:2-3 In my Father's HOUSE are many MANSIONS: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU. And if I go and PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU, I will come again, and RECEIVE YOU unto myself; that WHERE I AM, [THERE] YE MAY BE ALSO.

Heb. 11:16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, an HEAVENLY: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath PREPARED FOR THEM A CITY.

Heb. 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and UNTO THE CITY of the living God, the HEAVENLY JERUSALEM, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and IN JERUSALEM SHALL BE DELIVERENCE, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, MY KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Heaven and Earth

What will the condition of the Heavens and Earth be like after Christ comes?

2Pet. 3:7 But the HEAVENS AND EARTH, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, RESERVED UNTO FIRE against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

Jer. 4:23 I beheld the EARTH, and, lo, [it was] WITHOUT FORM, and VOID; and the HEAVENS, and they [had] NO LIGHT.

Psa. 68:8 The EARTH SHOOK, THE HEAVENS ALSO DROPPED at the presence of God: [even] Sinai itself [was moved] at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

Isa. 51:6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the HEAVENS SHALL VANISH AWAY like smoke, and THE EARTH SHALL WAX OLD LIKE A GARMENT, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished

The Righteous

What Will The Righteous Be Like after their glorification?

1Cor. 15:42 So also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is RAISED in INCORRUPTION:

1Cor. 15:53 For this corruptible must PUT ON INCORRUPTION, and this mortal [must] PUT ON IMMORTALITY.

1Cor. 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have PUT ON INCORRUPTION, and this mortal shall have PUT ON IMMORTALITY, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

1Cor. 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but THEN SHALL I KNOW even as also I am known.

Psa. 145:12 To MAKE KNOWN to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

The Wicked

Where Are The Wicked Ones?

Rev. 20:2-3 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and BOUND HIM A THOUSAND YEARS, And CAST HIM into the bottomless pit, and SHUT HIM UP, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, TILL THE THOUSAND YEARS SHOULD BE FULFILLED: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

Isa. 13:9 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall DESTROY the sinners thereof OUT OF IT.

Rev. 11:18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the DEAD, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest DESTROY THEM which destroy the earth.

Rev. 20:5 But the rest of the DEAD LIVED NOT AGAIN UNTIL THE THOUSAND YEARS WERE FINISHED. This [is] the first resurrection.

The wicked living just died, and the righteous dead were just raised.
That leaves the wicked that were already dead before Christ's coming.
This is the "rest of the dead", mentioned above.

During the Millennium

What the righteous do during the millennium in New Jerusalem?

Rev. 20:4 And I saw THRONES, and THEY SAT UPON THEM, and JUDGMENT WAS GIVEN UNTO THEM: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and THEY LIVED and REIGNED WITH CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS.

1Cor. 6:2 Do ye not know that THE SAINTS SHALL JUDGE the world? and if the world SHALL BE JUDGED BY YOU, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

1Cor. 6:3 Know ye not that WE SHALL JUDGE angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

Rev. 20:6 Blessed and holy [is] he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but THEY SHALL BE PRIESTS of God and of Christ, and SHALL REIGN WITH HIM A THOUSAND YEARS.

Mat. 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall SIT UPON twelve THRONES, JUDGING the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table IN MY KINGDOM, and SIT ON THRONES JUDGING the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke 13:29 And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall SIT DOWN IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

Mat. 8:11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall SIT DOWN with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Psa. 122:3-5 Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together: Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the LORD. For there are set THRONES OF JUDGMENT, the thrones of the house of David.

Dan. 7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and JUDGMENT WAS GIVEN TO THE SAINTS of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

1Cor.4:5 Therefore JUDGE NOTHING BEFORE THE TIME, UNTIL THE LORD COME, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

We Return

The righteous are dwelling in New Jerusalem, even before it lands on earth.
This is at the end of the millennium.

Isa 26:5 For he bringeth down THEM THAT DWELL on high; the LOFTY CITY, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, [even] to the ground; he bringeth it [even] to the dust

Notice below, before the resurrection, the righteous were referred to as the Bride, now the whole city is compared as the Bride, since the Bride is dwelling there.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, NEW JERUSALEM, COMING DOWN from God OUT OF HEAVEN, prepared as a BRIDE adorned for her husband.

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall GO NO MORE OUT: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] NEW JERUSALEM, which COMETH DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.

Conclusion:
1. Christ gathers the righteous living and dead.
2. They rise up to meet Him in the air.
3. Christ destroys the wicked living.
4. Christ takes the righteous to New Jerusalem that He has prepared for his Bride.
5. The righteous live and reign with Christ in New Jerusalem for a thousand years.
6. The righteous and Christ in New Jerusalem return to earth when the thousand years are fulfilled.

When God gave us the feasts that lays out His plan for us, the last feast was the Feast of Tabernacles, this year it will be on 9/19 to 20. We are to put up a booth to stay in on those days, a new place for us to live. This is after the feast prophesying the return of Christ and day of judgment. The Feast of Tabernacles is prophesying a time of a new habitat for all those who are saved.

To KAdamW, You "shot yourself in the foot" with sooo much material, you couldn't rightly"divide it". Your points 3,4,5,6, are all confused. You need only one passage to correct your confusion. Rev. 20 & 21. John gives us the time line . 1. The 1,000 yrs is first. We are with Christ on the old earth ruling the wicked nations. (not in Heaven). After the 1,000 yrs, 2. Satan is let loose, and Jesus kills them all, Then all 3. the wicked dead are raised to live, this is the "second Res. to death", they are cast into "Lake of Fire". Then 4. God recreates the New Heavens and the New Earth. Then 5. Jesus give all the rule back to the Father and He dwells with us on the new earth forever. Here is a key to unlock prophecy: the last / latest passages always give clarity to the earlier passages. This is why /where, people like Redtent and KAdamW go wrong, they look to the old testament to give light on the new testament. this is dead wrong. Love to all, Hoffco

I believe the wicked will definitely be destroyed in judgment, but that there will be many others whom GOD will spare to re-populate the earth. For instance, Joe Blow down the street who doesn't profess to be a Christian, but lives a more godly life than 90% of the Christians in his city. GOD is a just and merciful being.

There is no passage in the entire Bible that indicates we are ruling over a single person on earth during the millenium.

Above we see the people who are destroyed in the second death were in the earth and in the sea. Then the books they have been judged by are opened and they perish in the second death

The wicked living just died, and the righteous dead were just raised.
That leaves the wicked that were already dead before Christ's coming.
This is the "rest of the dead", mentioned above.

During the Millennium

What the righteous do during the millennium in New Jerusalem?

Rev. 20:4 And I saw THRONES, and THEY SAT UPON THEM, and JUDGMENT WAS GIVEN UNTO THEM: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and THEY LIVED and REIGNED WITH CHRIST A THOUSAND YEARS.

1Cor. 6:2 Do ye not know that THE SAINTS SHALL JUDGE the world? and if the world SHALL BE JUDGED BY YOU, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

We Return

The righteous are dwelling in New Jerusalem, even before it lands on earth.
This is at the end of the millennium.

Isa 26:5 For he bringeth down THEM THAT DWELL on high; the LOFTY CITY, he layeth it low; he layeth it low, [even] to the ground; he bringeth it [even] to the dust

Notice below, before the resurrection, the righteous were referred to as the Bride, now the whole city is compared as the Bride, since the Bride is dwelling there.

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, NEW JERUSALEM, COMING DOWN from God OUT OF HEAVEN, prepared as a BRIDE adorned for her husband.

Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall GO NO MORE OUT: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] NEW JERUSALEM, which COMETH DOWN OUT OF HEAVEN from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.

Conclusion:
1. Christ gathers the righteous living and dead.
2. They rise up to meet Him in the air.
3. Christ destroys the wicked living.
4. Christ takes the righteous to New Jerusalem that He has prepared for his Bride.
5. The righteous live and reign with Christ in New Jerusalem for a thousand years.

According to Revelation it does. Not much to go on so we have to rely on what little can be confirmed. Revelation is the only place that everyone can agree on that speaks about what happens during the millennium.

What does that else does that passage tell us? We know the timing, it follows the 2nd coming. We know we will be judging, reigning, and sitting on thrones.

Elsewhere He said he was leaving to prepare a place for us that he calls his fathers house. He says when he returns we go up into the air to receive us to be where he is.

That's about it. There will be thrones which we sit on, judgement is involved. So we basically have to seek out similar imagery

Looking at that small amount of verses that could fit any part of that criteria is about all we have. So if we find anyplace that the timing is right and talks about us sitting on thrones, being with Christ, judging, they would be very helpful on a subject which is so elusive

That is all I could find that seems to fit. Not much, but we have a location which is what is probably the biggest clue. One passage says it will be kingdom of God, and another says kingdom of heaven.

So no earth at all. Now lets think about when He said he was leaving to prepare a place for us that he calls his fathers house. He says when he returns we go up into the air to receive us to be where he is.

Not sure how people cram ruling on earth with that millennial event, except for the pre-millennial mention of ruling the nations with a rod of iron. That occurs at the 2nd coming not during the 1000yrs. I will post a separate study about this rod of iron shortly.
