Also, regarding Acts 2:47 and the rendering of "should" be saved, all I have to say is the KJV strikes again!

We continue on your thread or post...

Bookends. we are getting there.... the first thing I want you to see is.... LOOK, all these verses you qouted in blue, says.... The people STILL NEED SAVING... They are NOT SAVED YET!!!! Do you see they are STILL IN THE SAVING process?

They still need to be saved. Now let us shift our focus to holy people that GOD SAVED! God saved them not busy saving them. The ones God SAVED! Completely SAVED! The ones God says, are IN CHRIST! not being brought into Christ, they are ALREADY IN CHRIST! You see SALVATION IS IN Christ.... IN HIM! All SAVED people are IN HIM, and the ones that NEED SAVING, are being made to BE IN HIM. They are NOT IN HIM YET... they are BEING MADE HOLY to be in HIM! They are NOT HOLY YET, that is why they NEED SAVING, or BEING SAVED....

God says we know we are IN HIM when we sin no more! If we still sin, we are NOT IN HIM YET, and we are still like these people BEING SAVED... But Satan infiltrated the church and MISLEAD many... Satan is the one that says we CANNOT be holy, WE cannot be perfect. Satan made HIS OWN REIGHTEOUSNESS.... the one that says... Do not worry, Jesus died for your sins. That is a LIE! Jesus died for the sins people REPENT FROM, because He DIED ONCE, and was resurrected to BRING A NEW LIFE TO ALL WHO HE DIED FOR! HE (Christ Jesus) is the NEW LIFE in all whom he SAVED!

God says those that are being made Holy and He that makes holy ARE OUT OF ONE! Heb 2:11.... But how can a person be out of the SAME one that makes holy if the person do not believe in holiness. Godly holiness, as Holy AS GOD IS HOLY! I believe the one that makes HOLY does so PERFECTLY! And the one that are being made holy (being saved) will end up as holy and as perfect as God when the ONE who makes Holy is finished.... Right here on earth, and that person is SAVED!

1 Cor. 1:2To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:

The people of the church in Corinth had the most problems of any church Paul taught, yet he calls them sanctified, in Christ, saints, called, and possessing shared fellowship with Paul and others who call on the Lord. There seems to be a positional reality of being in Christ, saved, while still not being entirely holy. 1 John 3:9 truly says that those born of God do not sin in our new nature, yet John just 2 chapters earlier says that anyone who says they don't sin is a liar. So we have a conflict, we are already saints in Christ, with a new nature that does not sin, and yet we need to enter the narrow gate that leads to life, kingdom living, true life. We have our position in Christ, but we need to continue to strive to practice our position, to practice righteousness and all the beatitudes, the "be-attitudes" of Matt. 5.

The narrow way is the righteous way , look neither left nor right but keep focused on the righteous path for the kingdom of heaven is a righteous kingdom not after the manerism of the flesh but of the righteousness of God's spirit for sin is sin anf righteousness is righteousness and those who commit sin are of the devil as it is written in the word so even though you are not perfect one day you will be for what is impossible for man is possible with God . And remember God is the God of abraham Isaac and jacob he is a God og the living not the dead . So walk perfect before me an i will establish my covenant with you . Keep your eyes focused

One should have their historical facts in correct order, before explaining to others.

The first generation of Israelites in which the House of Judah is only a part of; is NOT the first generation of Israelites. What ever happened to Noah? Shem, Ham and Japeth?

Let alone before that; Adam & Eve, Able, Seth,

Christ and what he TAUGHT! IS the straight and narrow gate.
You do realize that Noah and everyone before Abraham were not Israelites? Abraham is the father of the Jews, and all those before him were therefore NOT OT Israelites.

They were righteous men called by God, but not a chosen people called the Hebrews.

"Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, known as the Patriarchs, are both the physical and spiritual ancestors of Judaism. They founded the religion now known as Judaism, and their descendants are the Jewish people. Of course, technically, it is incorrect to refer to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as Jews, because the terms "Jew" and "Judaism" were not used generally to refer to this nation until hundreds of years after their time; nevertheless, for convenience and in accordance with common practice, I will use these terms."

from: Judaism 101: The Patriarchs and the Origins of Judaism

I guess you need to get your facts straight before you post!

Ok I have explained that God knows who will turn out righteouss even when He did not even START sanctification YET! Let me ask all this question... Does God start sanctification on the ones He called?

God says.... MANY ARE CALLED, FEW ARE CHOSEN. So id only the CHOSEN will be saved, does God start sanctification on all HE CALLED? NO!!!!
My answer is NO!!!!

Here is my reason for saying so... God says many are called, but few are chosen, and God also says in Phil 1:6 ..... He that begun a GOOD WORK IN YOU, HE will continue until the day of Jesus Christ.... AHA!!!! So if God STARTS GOOD WORK (I Wonder if God's sanctification is GOOD WORK) He will continue UNTIL... NOW THIS IS A BIG ONE.. THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST....

When is the day of Jesus Christ? This is a mystery! Called the mystery of FAITH in Tim 3. When is THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST? God says that EVERY person will be where HE IS, even though they are here on earth... And HE will be where they are EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE HERE ON EARTH!....

Jesus says.... Father, I pray for them, I pray NOT FOR THE WORLD.... I talk about these people Jesus refer to THEM, and THEY ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD! WOW! Where are they from then? Born of GOD? BORN FROM ABOVE! Ok so they are FROM HEAVEN! FROM GOD AND HIS KINGDOM! Their KINGDOM IS NOT OF THIS WORLD!!!! ANd they ARE NOT OF THIS WORLD. WOW!!!

Let us see what Jesus says God must do to THEM! Remember there is NO WAY that God will refuse Jesus ANYTHING HE ASKS... Now If Jesus says this in His Prayer and God does this to you, imagine what it is like to be.....
I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
( Can you say you are like Jesus, NOT OF THIS WORLD? And that HE HAS GIVEN YOU GOD'S WORD!) (And because you have God's Word the WORLD HATES YOU!)

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. (Does God keep you from evil?) (How effective is GOD keeping you from evil?) (Is sin evil, can God KEEP YOU FROM SIN?)

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

I in them.....

No person is BORN WITH JESUS IN THEM! Save ONE person.... So for Jesus to be IN a person God gas to PUT JESUS IN THAT PERSON.... Is that not the day of Jesus Christ for that person?

When does God FINISH HIS GOOD WORK ON A PERSON.... Not he BODY OF THE PERSON, but the SOUL AND THE SPIRIT of the Person.... The heart, thoughts and acts of the person, and his spirit? The day of JESUS CHRIST, is the day JESUS IS IN THE PPERSON!

(pardon me, Bookends, for intruding here...)

How in the world did you get there from what the man wrote??
Once we are in Christ we have the power to obey God.
Only then.

However, receiving salvation is NOT about OUR obedience to God's Law.
It was Jesus' obedience to The Father that makes salvation possible.
That is why as believers we magnify The Lord Jesus, not the Law.
We do not discount obedience, we give praise to The One Who makes it possible.

HUH?

How many of you don't know Jesus seven I AM statements?

“I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me shall not hunger.” John 6:35

“I am the light of the world; he who follows Me shall not walk in the darkness, but shall have the
light of life.” John 8:12

“I am the gate; if anyone enters through Me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”
John 10:9

[TABLE="width: 600"]
[TR]
[TD] “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for His sheep.” John 10:11

“I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies.” John 11:25

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.” John 14:6

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.” John 15:1

Here again you use a parable from Matthew 22, but again incorrectly IMO. Jesus is talking about the Jews, who were the first guests invited to the wedding, but the majority refused to come, and actually killed the bridegroom.

22 And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables [what were parables for and why did Jesus use them? read Matt. 13:10-17] and said: [SUP]2 [/SUP]“The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king [God the Father] who arranged a marriage for his son [Jesus Christ], [SUP]3 [/SUP]and sent out his servants [disciples] to call those who were invited to the wedding [preach to the Jews first]; and they were not willing to come. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed,[after the sacrifice for sin were made, they ate it] and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.”’ [In celebration of Christ's victory over death, all things are ready, through Christ we enter into spiritual reality] [SUP]5 [/SUP]But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. [SUP]6 [/SUP]And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. [the Jews killed and persecuted their prophets and the disciples of Christ] [SUP]7 [/SUP]But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. [God's justice poured out on Israel for rejecting Him, 70AD] [SUP]8 [/SUP]Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. [The Jews who rejected Christ, who is worthy? those who believe and receive Christ as their person savior] [SUP]9 [/SUP]Therefore go into the highways,[Go make disciples, starting in Jerusalem and to the ends of the earth] and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ [SUP]10 [/SUP]So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests. [Come as you are, God will impute Christ's righteous on you 1st sanctification, POSITION in Christ a new Child of God, reborn;Think it of as caterpillar. Then God starts a transformation process in you, teaching you what it is like to have the Spirit of Christ as opposed to have a spirit of the world/Satan, this the 2nd sanctification, a mere metaphysical one. Think of it as a butterfly in its chrysalis. Finally after death, when we are raised imperishable, incorruptible, our 2nd sanctification process is complete, it's the 3rd sanctification were as God has fully dealt with the problem of our sinful nature and we emerge and enter into God presence holy and unscaved. Think of the butterfly when it emerges out of it's chrysalis.]

[SUP]11 [/SUP]“But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. [SUP]12 [/SUP]So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. [SUP]11 [/SUP]“But when the king [God the Father] came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. [wedding garment is Christ's atonement, His blood] [the guest=A man such as Judas Iscariot, one who proclaims Christ but does not possess Christ. One who merely thinks of Christianity or God Himself as a life insurance policy, one who enjoys and wants what's on the Masters table, but has no interest in the Master Himself][This is one who does not enter in through the gate, but climbs over the wall to get in..They never really trusted Christ as God's payment for sin and sought to do it their own way] [SUP]13 [/SUP]Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ [not a heavenly scene here, nor the judgment seat of Christ, but the Church applying Godly discipline and removal of those who are false teachers from among them. Matthew 16:19, "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."]

[SUP]14 [/SUP]“For many are called, but few are chosen.” [Many are called, God wishes all men to be saved 1 Tim. 2:4, but few are enter in because of their unbelief, not going about God salvation in God's way but their own.] [But is this what is all meant by this passage, or is that many are called to spread and support the Gospel, but few are chosen to teach it, the labors are few.] [Or, I believe it means many are called into faith in Christ, but few are chosen to be special apostles to teach, evangelize, Christ speaking directly to and about His disciples. Again, Jesus was addressing the reality of His day, Jesus had many things to say about the religious rulers of His day, just read in the chapter and into 23, and perhaps you might see what I see].

7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: note

9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Mathew chapter 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily. note

32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die. note

33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

34 Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. note

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. note

25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

@ Apostol2013, not I nor anybody here is say it's ok to live a carnal life my friend. Is that's why you posted scriptures of what a life in Christ should look like? In that case I agree with you, but our eternal destination isn't bought nor maintained by what we do, but on the blood of Jesus Christ alone. Those in Christ will naturally conform to His image even though we battle with sin daily, and this battle continues until our bodies are raise incorruptible.

Christ's finished work at the cross includes the resurrection where we are by Father born again, raised in the Spirit of God having new life in God because of Christ.

John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
