1 Co 15:35 (NASB) But someone will say, “How are the dead raised? And with what kind of body do they come?”


1 Co 15:36 You fool! That which you sow does not come to life unless it dies;


1 Co 15:37 and that which you sow, you do not sow the body which is to be, but a bare grain, perhaps of wheat or of something else.

Looks to me like Paul is saying that physical death is a necessary part of the process for most of us.

It was essential that Christ's crucified remains be returned to life or his
prediction in the passage below would been easily proven false.

John 2:19-21 . . Jesus answered them: Destroy this temple, and I will
raise it again in three days. The Jews replied: It has taken forty-six years to
build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days? But the temple
he had spoken of was his body.
