I don't know what others peoples problems are. I do know:
Romans 3:23

New International Version (NIV)

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

John 8;7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”

I grew to love Christ at a different rate than other Christians. We all have something to deal with.

I paid almost no attention to the Lord until I turned twenty. I only went to him when I felt terrible. Then I remembered I was supposed to love him with all my heart, mind, and soul, so I tried to be his friend, but I wasn’t willing to repent of my sin, yet. In the late 1980s I finally realized I needed to repent of my sin to have peace of mind.

Hmmm....

the way, today, the way to salvation is less about Jesus for many, and more about what is spritual, rejecting Jesus .

truth, truth has become subject to the world's approval, rather than what is given to us in word and scripture.

Faith, too many seek a sign, rather than , walking by faith.

Hope, is set in what should be given and recieved now, rather than hope in what is to come, is promised.

Love, many seek the world's love wanting and justifying actions and being approved in this worldly love, blind to its destruction and death,
rather than looking to the love of Jesus, God Our Father, His holy Spirit which is perfect and eternal.

God bless

If you are at least fifty years of age, what do think are major spiritual issues people need to deal with? From my point of view, there are four:

1.) People fail to love the Lord with all their hearts, minds, and souls, as commanded by Jesus (Matthew 22:37-38). They instead seem to take an attitude that they will wait to love him until they see him with their own eyes, and therefore fail to develop a personal relationship with him.

2.) People fail to wait till they get married to have sex. This is a sin (Mark 7:20-23, Matthew 5:28).

3.) People abuse substances such as alcohol.

4.) People allow themselves to be motivated by pride rather than love. Pride is a sin (Mark 7:20-23).
Imho, the major spiritual issue people need to deal with is the fact that people don't think there are real spiritual issues to be dealt with. That gives them license to persue the 4 actions above and more. To the world, God has been relegated to myth or at best also-ran status among a bunch of other myths. I find it highly amusing that as science gets ever closer to touching the face of God, man has convinced himself that his science proves God doesn't exist. So the prohibitions and penalties against those kind of things are meaningless. So what the hey why not? It feels good while we're here...

Amen, sis. :)

And would somebody grab PopClick and give her a tremendous hug already??
Please? :)

Probably the spiritual troubles of the world haven't changed much since the Lord made man and we fell...
(and anyone who thinks they could have done a better job than Adam and Eve should maybe think again... )

It's the wanting of self, and not of God, that always leads to trouble.
But praise God! He made a way for us to have new hearts,
and His law written on them,
and a way to approach the Throne of Grace!
(just think about that one for a while...
not a Throne of Judgment, or Wrath, but Grace :) )

He made a Way (Jesus ♥ ) for mankind to be born again,
and to be given hearts that want His will.
That's pretty terrific, yeah?

Thanks for the old folks thread. :)

I like your post. Just wanted to point out that many scientists do believe in God, and many non-scientists are atheists, so it isn't science that is to fault, but the sin of man (humankind) to think we can know everything. A good scientist knows that science can only take us so far. Scientific knowledge does not replace God, but rather enhances our understanding of God's beautiful creation.

Some young adults are very nice... AND they know everything! :p
I felt guilty about saying that young adults “seem to know EVERYTHING” because I know there are young adults like yourself who have been very kind.

Yay! But now I'll have to write really big so I can read it.
It's not that my eyes are getting worse ... it's that print is getting smaller. I'm convinced of it!

Awww, Jesus just perfected what was witten by me, through you. :)
You're also a much better spelller. :D

Ill bet our parents, parents said alot about this as well, and saw what was growing weaker as well.
But one thing to consider, the great things of God and His Spirit are getting greater as well! :)
For His glory is shining brighter every day, no wonder satan is working so hard to bring darkness.
The thing is? Light only becomes brighter when things grow darker.
Makes His glory shine even brighter, and the witness we are called to more presious and good!

So let's all in Jesus, shine on for the glory of God !

God bless

My problem is that I still do.
If you like, I'll send my children to your house...;)

They are the ones who know everything now, and if you spend enough time with them,
you'll become convinced you don't.

Whether you like it, or not!

hahaha

I used to hear my Uncle Glenn say his eyes were fine, but his arms were too short...;)

I didn't get it when I was a teen, but I get it now! :)

The older you get the more you have to stand on his word! Live by faith too!

The older I get, and the more I learn, the less I know. As soon as I think I have figured out the answer the question changes.
