Our sinful nature aka old man died with Jesus on the cross, He did not only absolve us from our sins He delivered us from sin. Those who wish to hold spiritual waters within sinful vessels war with themselves and burst leaving the spiritual water wasted on the ground. You must use a new wineskin to hold new wine.

To repent means to turn from our sinful ways and start obeying God's law. The water baptism signifies the washing away of our past sins. After repenting and being baptized in the name of Jesus it would be foolish for us to turn around and willingly break God's commandments. If we make an honest mistake Jesus can help us, but if we sin willingly, look out! "...there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation..." (Hebrews 10:26-27). When Jesus died only the sacrificial law was done away with, alone with leviticus priesthood.

We still must obey all of God's laws and statues of conduct, from the ten commandments to the least commandment. We cannot choose to obey one without obeying the others. For instance, if it's still good to pay tithes (as many preach), then it is still good to obey God's dietary law (not eating pork, catfish, etc...Leviticus 11:1-47). Similarly, you cannot purposely trip a blind person (Leviticus 19:14) and claim to love your neighbor as yourself. Neither can you break God's Sabbath days (Leviticus 19:30) and claim to love God with all your heart, soul and mind. Many fight to uphold man's traditional holidays (Sunday the 1st day as the Sabbath, Christmas, Easter and Halloween), but few are obeying God's Holy Days (Saturday the 7th day Sabbath, the Passover, Pentecost, etc...Leviticus 23:1-44). All of God's laws are still good and must be obeyed if we want eternal life. We might not be able to observe everything perfectly, but can fight a good fight. If we do this our prize awaits us at the end. "...if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments" (Matthew 19:17).
Mr Tan, you preach a lot of truth, and its a breath of fresh air, as to all the professing Christians who will defend sin and disobedience to God, but cover up their lies with a few select verses.

Thank you for your bold witness!

I am not here to argue over keeping the laws such as the Sabbath, or the 10% tithe, or not eating pork, and water baptism for the remission of sins, etc,

I disagree wholeheartedly with you on this, as to not keeping them will lead to eternal separation from God, or you will lose your salvation if you eat pork, don't give 10% of your income to the church, baptismal regeneration, and keeping the Sabbath, which I agree it should be kept in the heart, every day, as we remain holy and rest in Jesus Christ.

I just want to know if you would please answer a question for me, and please have patients with me I am in no way insinuating you don't believe this because from your posts I can see you preach repentance and faith proven by deeds.

Here is the question::

And I know the answer from most here on the posts and thousands of ministries that teach the saved IN sin message.

You believe the sin stops in repentance first, since man has free will and ability to do so, another words, repentance unto salvation, and what is your belief on the death of Christ, was He a substitute or example? Or did He die on our behalf, as a ransom for many who repent and seek His mercy! A sin offering and not a replacement!

Not sure if I understand what you are saying, please forgive my ignorance, but I would like to shed some light on what the crucified life looks like for those who were taught Jesus crucified your flesh Himself, we cannot do it, He did it all, and paid for all our future sins on the cross, thus willful sin against God isnt good but wont have any effect on our final salvation.

The crucified life and what it looks like!
Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I live; yet no longer I, but Christ lives in me. And that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith toward the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself on my behalf.
Gal 5:24 But those belonging to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let also walk in the Spirit.
Rom 6:6 knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him in order that the body of sin might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.
When it comes to a true saving faith (obedience) there is no point going further until you understand what it means to be crucified with Christ!
You can argue night and day about the Sabbath, Baptism, Pagan holidays, the rapture, head coverings etc., and miss the most important issue of all, and that is have you actually crucified your flesh with Christ, through real repentance and faith(obedience)once and for all in reality?
Or have you bought into the great lie of deception being taught today by the army of false teachers who have either been duped themselves, or are under the great delusion sent by God!
2Th 2:10 and with all deceit of unrighteousness in those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, so that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.
IF you are still in bondage to sins of the flesh, and I am talking about willful rebellious sin, done presumptuously in hate, guile, malice, anger, or lust, then you did not crucify your flesh with Christ.
This is not a process, that takes place over time, or a symbolic occurrence that took place when you said the sinner’s prayer and then trusted Jesus did it all, and in Him you are crucified in position, because He obeyed for you, because you cannot possible crucify your flesh in your own ability.
Apart from real repentance, and a working faith in love, where you must crucify your flesh with Christ, then you are in danger and must do your first works, repent, and come to a saving faith.
Thus a real crucified convert will look like this:
Walking in newness of life!
Departed from iniquity!
Obedient to the truth!
Loving not the world!
Loving neighbor as self!
Putting God first and foremost!
Abstaining from all forms of evil!
Lover of the truth!
Contending earnestly for the pure word!(truth)
Keeping himself undefiled and unspotted from the world!
Guarding his heart above all things!
An overcomer through the blood of Christ!
Living soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age!
Having no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness!
Departing or departed from the lukewarm church who promotes the lie! (Saved IN sin, Romans wretch, chief of sinners, faith alone, substitution aka imputation, OSAS, etc).
A doer of God’s word and not a hearer only!

Jesus said,
Joh 8:51 Truly, truly, I say to you, If a man keeps My Word, he shall never see death.
Joh 14:15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
Joh 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

To be crucified with Christ as you can see is a very serious matter, you cannot be IN sin and IN Christ at the same time, they don’t mix, and not getting this right will make the difference between heaven or hell, God has given all mankind a choice, and a way out of bondage to sin, and the world.

2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you grieved to repentance. For you were grieved according to God, so that you might suffer loss by nothing in us.
2Co 7:10 For the grief according to God works repentance to salvation, not to be regretted, but the grief of the world works out death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this same thing (you being grieved according to God); how much it worked out earnestness in you; but also defense; but also indignation; but also fear; but also desire; but also zeal; but also vengeance! In everything you approved yourselves to be clear(PURE) in the matter.

Jesus came to set mankind free, see John 8-32, but He didn’t come to be your substitute, in any way, shape or form, or to crucify Himself for you, He came to save us from our sins, through repentance and faith (obedience) where we crucify the flesh once and for all!

It’s not about perfection, it’s not about not needing Jesus, it’s not about being self-righteous or bragging I did it myself, etc.,, but it’s about, humility, brokenness, sacrifice, and a passion and zeal to count the cost, and come before the mercy seat in complete surrender and with a crisis of conviction, that leads to real godly sorrow, where the sin stops, and the flesh is crucified and put to death once and for all!

The crucified life then is a life on the narrow road, following Jesus as He commanded by denying self-daily, and taking up your cross and living a life pleasing to Him, walking IN the spirit, where you will not give any provision for the flesh!

Gal 5:16 I say, then, Walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. And these are contrary to one another; lest whatever you may will, these things you do.
Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are clearly revealed, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lustfulness,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, fightings, jealousies, angers, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The crucified life is living a dynamic life of faith (obedience) to the truth, doing what is right by choice and also a healthy fear of an all Holy God, who is very patient and longsuffering toward us all, not wanting any to die, but all to come to repentance! 2 Peter 3-9.

The Crucified life is more about obedience, than perfection, sin is missing the mark, which we all do every day, BUT, does missing the mark mean we miss by falling into porn occasionally, fornication on occasion, getting drunk in a weak moment?

Many will say yes, we all fall short, which means everything we do is as a filthy rag before God, but is this honest? Is this the truth? Does a true follower of Christ, make His or her life a life of continued hate, evil and lust?

If your life consists of a pattern of falling into the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye’s, and the pride of life, either on occasion, or on a daily basis, then you have NOT crucified your flesh with Christ, and you may be waiting for the Lord to do this for you in due time, but God is waiting for you to humble yourself, and make the right God given choice, to crucify your flesh once and for all with Him as outlined above!

PS. I get tired of professing Christians who say they cannot stop sinning (fornication, lying, cheating, hating, drunkenness, homosexuality, porn watching, idolatry, love OF the world, etc.)
Because all sin is the same, which is just a scapegoat for them to avoid the commands of God to repent, stop sinning, crucify their flesh with Him, and follow Him on the narrow road!

Remember a truly crucified heart does NOT live a life of falling occasionally into vile sins that lead to death, yes many mighty men and women of God have fallen, some found repentance some did not, BUT to say this is the normal Christian experience is a lie, and used as an excuse to feed the flesh, and not use all the tools God has given us to resist temptation, overcome sins of the flesh, and put the flesh to death in repentance.

We all will be judged just how God finds us, not in perfection, but in living a life above the flesh and its evil desires, walking in purity, sincerity, and love and faith (obedience). Faults, mistakes, poor judgments, sins of ignorance, misplaced zeal, missing the mark in these areas are not sins leading to death, but can be when they lead us into any guile, hate, envy, lust and pride, that is why we must walk the crucified life, and be very sensitive to all our faults and mistakes, confess them to God, and grow more in the likeness of Jesus Christ.

One is willful presumptuous sin that is total rebellion towards God, a mental decision to disobey Him, and ignore His warnings and power to find a way of escape. This leads to death, but the other does not, and will not lead to death, unless we allow it to lead to rebellion against God, and lust of the flesh, lust of the eye’s and the pride of life!
It’s simple either you are living a sincere, pure life before God, guarding your heart against willful sin and temptation, or you are not, Jesus isn't asking His followers to be as perfect and spotless as He is, BUT IS asking His followers to obey His most un burdensome commands, and stop making excuses for sin and worldliness, He wants all our attention and love, not a divided heart between the world and Him, and most importantly, a heart made pure through repentance and faith proven by deeds, where the crucified life is the abundant life unto Him! Not a life filled with self, lust, and evil thoughts and ways!

Rev 22:11 He acting unjustly, let him still act unjustly. And the filthy, let him be filthy still. And the righteous, let him be righteous still. And the holy, let him be holy still.

We will be judged on how Jesus finds us when He returns or when we die, not in perfection or living a self-righteous life, but either the crucified life in purity, sincerity, and love, OR the un crucified life of self, lust, pride, and bondage to sin and disobedience!

Or did He die on our behalf, as a ransom for many who repent and seek His mercy! A sin offering and not a replacement!

Most people do not understand what grace is. All they will say is that I am under grace. Some will say grace is a free gift and that’s true. But, what is this free gift. The free gift (grace) is Jesus came and died for our sins and by coming under his blood; we have access back to the tree of life (Jesus) which Adam by sinning took away in the garden. With out the Tree of life man was condemned to death, even the second death (the lake of fire). Jesus told us in the scripture, (Psalms: 69: 4)I restore that which I took not away” which is your grace (our access to Jesus). Our fore parents, Adam and Eve chose to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Satan), by listening to Satan, instead of God, he cost us are access to The Tree of Life. Paul said this in Roman 5: 12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. Adam and Eve were put forth from the Garden of Eden and from the Tree of Life. Grace is no more than a free gift retained by keeping God’s Law. (1John 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. Now we have just read the biblical definition of sin, the transgression (breaking) of the law (commandments.) It doesn’t matter what you or I think sin is, it’s what God says sin is that counts.

"And he said unto them, go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15-16).

Now, Paul said in (Rom. 3:23-25) (v.23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (v.24) Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (v.25) Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. So the bible tells you to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus. And by doing so you come up under his precious blood and then you are saved from your sins that are past, not present or future sins but for sins that are past. We were all locked under death by Adam’s sin, even the second death. But when Jesus became (he was God in the beginning) man and died for the sins of the world, he gave us access back to the tree of life (himself) which Adam had caused us to lose. That’s what grace is, our free gift our access back to the tree of life. So by coming under the blood of Jesus you are saved from your past sins. And if you are saved now, it is on a day to day basis. Because all have sinned, and if you continue to live you will sin again. It is the willful sinning that you need to put in check.

Listen very carefully to what the Master is saying here.
Mark 8: 34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. 36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

Look at verse 35 in Mark, For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. What life are you losing? That sinful life. If you pick up his cross and bare it, you put off that old man and put on the new. Verse 36, For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Remember you cannot take anything with you into the next life. What shall you give in exchange for eternal life in the GOD family? Look what JESUS says here. Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. So when you are being persecuted for the Word's sake, and you are ashamed instead of standing your ground, HE will be ashamed to mention you when he returns. Do you know what that means? You will hit the Lake Of Fire

I don't follow, you say if you are save then you will have good Deeds.

If a person is SAVED, they will have the Spirit of Christ in them, if they have the Spirit of Christ in them, they will have the compassion of Christ, if they have the compassion of Christ, they will have compassion for others, if they have compassion for others, they will have good deeds. i.e. helping the needy, feeding the poor, volunteering services, visiting sick and those in prison. Their deeds will reflect Christ that is in them.

If then a person claims to be Saved, and they have an opportunity to help someone, and they don't help that person, where is the love of Christ in that one?

If a person does all those deeds that i mentioned above, so that they can be approved by God, do so in error and it is by deeds they are trying to get in good standing with God. But if a person does those deeds mentioned above because they genuinely desire to help those people, these then have the Spirit of God in them. You see then how both of these people did the above mentioned deeds, yet one did it to try to be Saved, a good Christian, while the other did because they ARE SAVED, they have the Love of Christ in them. If Christ be in you, you will have an overwhelming desire to help others, to love others, to be a tool for Christ to use.

Now Paul said in (Rom. 3:20) Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sights for by the law is the knowledge of sin. This is true because the blood of Jesus can only justify us. But does this make the law void? God forbid. You wouldn’t know what sin was if there was no law. The deeds Paul is talking about here is the animal sacrifical law, the blood animals couldn't justify us.

This verse is clearly talking about the deeds of the law, not merely deeds that a Christian will do when they are Truly Saved. But let me give you an example of what i am talking about using the deeds of the law.

Both Bob and Cindy have an opportunity to steal money that was left out. When Bob walks in and sees the money, he does not take it, because he realized there is a Law in the Bible that says thou shalt not steal, and that he would be committing sin if he takes the money. When Cindy walks in and sees the money, she does not take the money because she does not want to steal from the person it belongs too. Do you see how Bob was working by the deeds of the law, but Cindy by LOVE. Bob did not steal because it is written do not steal. Cindy did not steal because she loved the person and would not take money from them. Do you see then how Bob was not justified, because he is operating under the law, but Cindy is justified, she did not steal because there is a law that says not to, she did not steal because she did not want to hurt the other, or steal from the other. No one is justified by keeping the law, or doing the deeds of the law. A person is justified when they LOVE ONE ANOTHER, and by doing this, they fulfill all the laws.

^i^

Maybe you where confuse about deeds and fruit and how they work
the above statement is what i am confused about, did you not start your post with:

I don't follow, you say if you are save then you will have good Deeds.

i hope i have helped you to understand better what i was actually saying. i have got an article on Faith/Works/or Both on the web which talks exactly about this topic.

I understand your example, but thats not what Paul is saying in that verse. If you really think about it, cindy maybe a thief still, she just didn't steal because she love that person, what if she didn't love that person...then she would probably would of stolen from that person. That indicates cindy mind is not stable, she have not been renewed in her mind or repented from transgression. Understand we are talking about laws here, not how a person feels or emotions.

What Paul is saying in Romans chapter 3. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:20)

Understand that, we have both laws within this verse. Notice the first part of the verse, "by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight." What law is this? It is the sacrificial law. Why? Remember in Hebrews the 10th chapter verse 4 it states, "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins." So, by the deeds of the sacrificial law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight.

Now, look at the second part of the verse, "for by the law is the knowledge of sin." What law is this? The commandments. Why? Sin is the transgression of the law, (1John 3:4) Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law, and if there is no law how would any of us have knowledge of sin.

That is exactly what i am talking about. Laws, are written do's and don'ts. that is what LAW is. God made laws as well, Do's and Don'ts. that is what Law is. So yes i do understand we are talking about laws here, and that is strictly the old covenant. The old covenant was by the Law, no feeling involved, no emotions. if the Law said it that was it, it was a LAW. feelings and emotions were not in the equation at all. It was a law, thou shalt not steal. It did not matter how one felt, what their emotions were, what they felt about it, it was a LAW to not steal.

BUT, now we are not longer under the law, but the law of liberty. If then someone is living by the LAW, they are not living by liberty. We are no longer under the law, that is to say we are no longer under the obligation to obey the LAWS set up under the old covenant given to the Israelites. NOW it is about how a person feels and their emotions. No person is going to be justified because they keep the law, or are doing the deeds of the LAW, because they are LAW. If then a person lives by the LAW because they are the LAW, that person is trying to be justified because he/she is living by the LAW. If you fail in one point of the Law, you fail the whole Law. But we, as Christians are not under that LAW, to have to obey it.

Under the old covenant. Law revealed to people what sin was, what is sinful and what was not sinful. But we, under a new covenant are not bound by these laws, which our forefathers were unable to keep, nor could they keep them. We are under a new covenant, that covenant being to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. If then you fail to LOVE ONE ANOTHER (which is ALL about feelings and emotions) you commit sin, NOT because you broke a law, or disobeyed the Scriptures, but because you failed to LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Old covenant was all about Do's and Don'ts
New covenant is all about Loving one another.

The problem is people mix the two. Instead of loving one another which would fulfill the WHOLE LAW, they teach Do's and Don'ts. i.e. Don't celebrate Christmas, Do tithe 10%, Don't drink a beer and many other such things they teach. People do not realize it is not about Do's and Don'ts but about if you LOVE ONE ANOTHER or NOT. i have an article on Should we obey the OLD TESTAMENT? which reveals Scriptural proof that we as Christians do not have too. we are under the LAW OF LIBERTY not the LAW of Do's and Don'ts.

Understand that, we have both laws within this verse. Notice the first part of the verse, "by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight." What law is this? It is the sacrificial law.

How do you come up with the deeds of the law, to mean or interpret into meaning the sacrificial law? what Scriptures lead you to believe this? There were over 600 laws, that were indeed LAWS that the Israelites were to follow, as commandments of God (LAWS). If you were to ask anyone in those days, when the Word was being written by the hand of the Apostles, what are considered the deeds of the Law, they all would give any one of the 600+ laws, as being the deeds of the law. So we know that Scriptures interprets Scriptures, so then what Scriptures interprets the above verse to specifically mean the sacrificial law, and not the Law (600+ commandments)?

Why? Remember in Hebrews the 10th chapter verse 4 it states, "For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins." So, by the deeds of the sacrificial law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight.
That is True, but is very limited because of a truth ALL deeds of the LAW, not merely the sacrificial laws, but all of them, shall no flesh be justified in His sight. Again it is not about Do's and Don'ts with God under the New Covenant, it all about if you LOVE ONE ANOTHER or NOT.

Now, look at the second part of the verse, "for by the law is the knowledge of sin." What law is this? The commandments.
yes the commandments, ALL six hundred of them. It was a sin for a person to sit on the bed of women that was menstruating, Why was it a sin, because the LAW said it was a sin. How did they have knowledge that eating pork was a sin? because the LAW said it was a sin to eat pork, so then of a truth by the law, all of them, was made known the knowledge of sin.

Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. You can't go around picking verses out the Bible that lines up with your doctrine. Rightly dividing the true starts from Genesis to Revelation. I understand what you saying, but the Bible do not support your case. You running to verses in the Bible that you think supposes your doctrine, without understand the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Actually you didn't post not one verses to support what you are saying.

Lets take a look and see what the Master said in Luke 10: 25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 26 He said unto him,What is written in the law? how readest thou? 27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. 28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live.

Now let allow Jesus to break down what loving your neighbour like thyself means, in his own words again

Now let read it again...Jesus said in Matthew 19: 16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself

No matter what you read in the BIble, you can not overturn these verses, you can not. Paul can't over turn these verses. No Prophet or apostles can overturn these verses, so what ever else you read in the Bible that talks about a law, that sounds like something else, then it is something else, a another law. The royal law (ten commandment) are for ever..plant that in your head, so when you read about another law or deed by a law you don't get confuse. By the way keeping the fourth commandment consist of the sabbath day on the seventh day of the week (saturday) which is still good to this day, not the first day of the week.

What you have to understand is what laws was nail to the cross and laws are still on the table. Paul only talks about three laws, and only two of them are nail to the cross. What you have to keep in mind that God had Peter to clearly warn people about some of Paul’s writing. (2Peter:3:15-16) (v.15) And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; (v.16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Lets name the three law..The Leviticus Priesthood law, animal Sacrifical law, Royal law (commandments). Now the Levicitus Priesthood law and animal Sacrifical law, all works together, so all those laws are nail to the cross, that consist of those duties.

Let go a little further and see what in the Deeds of the law was (animal Sacrifical law)

Now let's begin by taking a look at both of the laws and how they worked together. We will see there were two laws given to Moses, they were the commandments and the sacrificial law. Watch how they worked together.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them: (Leviticus 4:1-2) The law in the scriptures above is the (Royal law) commandments.

Notice something else very important in these two scriptures. It states, "if a soul shall sin through ignorance." Notice that the scripture did not says on purpose. Why? There is no sacrifice for a sin that is committed willfully. Let's find out what was to be done if a person committed a sin against the Lord unintentionally. Let's skip down to the 27th verse and take a look at the second law (which is the sacrificial law).

And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty; Or if his sin, which he hath sinned, come to his knowledge: then he shall bring his offering, a kid of the goats, a female without blemish, for his sin which he hath sinned. And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering. And the priest shall take of the blood thereof with his finger, and put it upon the horns of the altar of burnt offering, and shall pour out all the blood thereof at the bottom of the altar. (Leviticus 4:27-30) So this is the deeds of the law of animal sacrifical, this is what had to be done, by the priesthood. Since Jesus death, sometime after, these laws had to stop. Pay attention to this next verse. Lets go into Matthew 27:50 Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; Why did the veil rent from top to bottom. because priesthood is fired, no need for that law any more. So when we read what Paul said...Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Romans 3:20) Paul spoke two laws in this verse like it was written in the Old Testament, when you first begin reading, when Moses spoke about two laws to the children of Israel.

Over the years many have taught various ways to receive everlasting life. No wonder the world is full of so many denominations. All of these different doctrines, seemingly coming from the bible, tend only to confuse people. Most people don't know what to believe and simply choose not to attend any church. Nevertheless, the bible speaks of only one way to get eternal salvation. "One Lord, one faith, one baptism" (Ephesians 4:5). The next time someone asks you what faith you are, tell them there's only one faith. The road to eternal salvation starts with knowledge of the Holy Scriptures. God doesn't want us to memorize two or three verses, but instead he left the entire bible so we can learn how to get salvation. If we learn it, believe it and obey it (the bible), salvation will be our reward. Before you can start any task you must first know about it and without the key of knowledge we are lost. "...thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make the wise unto salvation..." (II Timothy 4:15). However, with all the various doctrines (teachings) it's hard to know which road to take. Many claim that it really doesn't matter saying, "you serve God your way and I'll serve God my way." Since the Lord is the author of eternal salvation we can only obtain it by serving him his way (Hebrews 5:9). Some choose to rely on the wisdom of their pastor by putting his word above God's word. Nevertheless, in judgment each one of us will give account for our own salvation. Therefore, we must not let anyone lead us down the wrong path, but should verify all of our teaching with the holy bible. YOUR SALVATION IS AT STAKE! "...work out your own salvation with fear and trembling" (Philippians 2:12). Jesus warned us that the road to salvation is straight and narrow and that only a few of us will find it. Many are traveling down the wrong road, which leads to destruction. This is because many of us have heard about salvation but few of us want to do what is necessary to get salvation (many are called but few are chosen). Many contend that Jesus did it all and now all we have to do is have faith. The bible says, we must not only be a hearer of the word, but a doer of the word also (James 1:21-22). DON'T FOOL YOURSELF! If we really have faith in Jesus our actions will prove it. If Jesus is our Lord then we will obey him. Even a child will obey a parent, by getting good grades in school, for the reward of a new bicycle. The child cannot earn money for the bicycle, but instead must act upon their faith to receive the free gift. We must do the same to receive eternal life. "FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD"(James 2:20).
eternal salvation is not dependent on a head knowledge of God's word...the scribes and pharisees managed that but did not attain salvation...salvation is based on KNOWING GOD's WORD...a right relationship with GOD's Word...and Gods Word is Jesus...you need to be in a right relationship with Jesus...belileve the truth that Jesus is God and turn to Him in love and turn from your sins..forsake your sins..hate your sins...that is how you work out your salvation with fear and trembling...to be aware that you as a sinner do not deserve and can do NOTHING to earn goodness and kindness from God...you must completely trust in His mercy..once you turn to God in love and turn from your sins through Jesus, as God dwells in you then you are transformed to His likeness and only then can you begin to bear the fruits of God's love as seen in good works..you are not saved by good works...you are saved to do good works

How are you going to accomplish anything in life without having the knowledge of, or knowing what to do? They both are the same, if you know something then you can present knowledge about what you know. You make a lot of statements without any Biblical proof, I agree with hate the sin, stop the sins, etc. How do you suppose to come or turn to Christ? What is it you suppose to do? Tell me what you know, since you don’t believe you should have some knowledge.

Paul sain in Ephesians 3:1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles, 2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to youward: 3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, 4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) 5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; Also in Ephesians 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Just gotta interject here and ask a two fold question here;

What covenant was Paul under and from where did he receive the understanding of what was right and wrong in God's eyes? Let's answer the last part of the question first. Let's read some scripture....

Rom.7
[7] What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Now....was this the only law that Paul read to find out that he should not covet? And where was the only place Paul could go to find this law? From the bible; the bible for Paul being Gen. through Mal. That was the only bible Paul had to read. Now...is it possible that Paul did not stop at reading just this one law from the OT? Let's read some more of Paul's writings....

Col.3
[5] Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
[6] For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
[7] In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
[8] But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

1 Cor.15
[34] Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

Eph.4
[26] Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

Eph.5
[3] But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;

So when Paul read from the OT that all of the above were sins, he then begin to teach those that he preached to that they were sins and should be avoided

Now where did Paul learn that all of the above were also sins? From the OT. Let's confirm this....

Rom.3
[20] Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Such a true statement....for there have never been a time when the deeds of the law (animal sacrifice) could ever justify or, remove sin....but where does Paul tell us we still must go to have an understanding of what is right and wrong in God's eye's; "...by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Of course we must love our neighbor....but what is love according to God?

John 14
[15] If ye love me, keep my commandments.
[21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

1 John 2
[3] And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1 John 3
[22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
[24] And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 5
[2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.
[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

2 John 2
[6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Now back to the first part of the question.....knowing that Paul received the knowledge to know what was wrong and right from the OT AND knowing that Paul taught others to keep the commandments of God... What covenant was Paul under?

Praise the Lord in Jesus name......because in the scriptures its written in Proverbs 1: My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: 2 For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. 3 Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: 4 So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

Now back to the first part of the question.....knowing that Paul received the knowledge to know what was wrong and right from the OT AND knowing that Paul taught others to keep the commandments of God... What covenant was Paul under?

Paul while a pharisee, a very religious person was under the old covenant, Under the old covenant a person learned what was sin and what was not sin, that is how Paul come to the knowledge of sin, is through the Old Testament laws, statutes, and Ordinances. Yes Paul received the knowledge of sin through the Old Covenant, but he received the knowledge of Salvation through the New Covenant, one that is under the teachings of Jesus Christ. Now concerning the verses you give above, Many and i mean many people interpret all those verses to mean the 10 commandments, yet not a one of them say the 10 commandments.Let Scriptures interpret Scriptures. If then Scriptures does interpret Scriptures lets not believe the interpretation of man, when Scriptures plainly teach us the interpretation thereof.

All the verses above that say Keep His Commandments, were said by the Apostle John, yes? Yes. Are you aware that the Apostle John tells us plainly and clearly WHAT His Commandments are. There is no guessing what they are, there is no need to interpret what they are, when he already through Scriptures tells us plainly WHAT they are. Here is what the Apostle John says His Commandments are:

I John 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Pay attention here, many people, and i mean many interpret the above verse to mean the 10 commandments, However listen to what Apostle John says His Commandments are in the very next verse:

I John 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

And there you have it, according to man and his teaching, to keep His Commandments is to keep the 10 commandments, but according to the Word of God itself, to keep His Commandments is to believe on Jesus Christ, and to LOVE ONE ANOTHER. This is also exactly what i have been told by God Himself, concerning what His Commandments are. So then you have a choice, you can believe what man teaches you that His Commandments are the 10 commandments, or you can believe what the Scriptures plainly teaches you concerning what His Commandments are. Your choice.

I agree the scriptures does interpret the scripture, but some things thats written in the Bible requires spiritual understanding and then in some cases its just common sense. The Lord gave us the Royal Law which is the ten commandments and other laws. In the Old testament you may find it written commandments, stautes and Judgement. I think in the Old testament you might find the commandments actually worded as the ten commandments, maybe a few times. Now when you see the word Laws by itself, thats when you need to define which law is being talk about.

Now let us go into the book of Matthew chapter 19, to see how plain, and clear the Lord tells this man how he can obtain eternal life. And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matthew 19:16-17)

Pay close attention to what the man asked the Lord, "what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?" The Lord's respond was, "if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments."

Take a look at the next two verses. He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.(Matthew 19:18-19) Now notice Jesus didn't say ten commandments or laws.

Take heed to what the Lord says; Then one of them, who was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. (Matthew 22:35-38)

Take note brothers and sister, if we love the Lord with all our mind and body, what would we have accomplished? If we do this, we have just fulfilled the first four commandments.

Take a look.

1. Thou shalt have none other gods before me. (Deuteronomy 5:7)
2. Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth: (Deuteronomy 5:8)
3. Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain: for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. (Deuteronomy 5:9-11)
4. Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee. Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. And remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the Sabbath day. (Deuteronomy 5:12-15)

If we say we love the Lord, shouldn't we do what he say? Yes! But, the people that call themselves servants of God break all four of the above commandments. How? By putting other gods before Him. What other gods? The god of Sunday that hangs on a cross. The cross is a Roman death symbol and was the instrument used for execution under Roman law. There is nothing holy about the cross. Jesus is very much alive sitting at the right hand of the Father in the third heaven. The people err greatly by reverencing this death symbol. Some of them bow before this cross even kissing the feet of the image that hangs on it. But, they say they love the Lord. The Lord's Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week. But, these people say, "Every day is the Lord's Sabbath day." If that were true no work could be done any day of the week. The scripture clearly states that it is a day of rest and no work is to be done. This day is very important. It is so important that the Lord has placed it among His Royal Laws.

Let's return to the Book of Matthew and pick up where we left off. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Matthew 22:39) Remember, Paul quoted the above verse in Romans chapter 13 verses 8. If we love our neighbors as we love ourselves we have just fulfilled the last six commandments. We will honor our parents, we will not murder our neighbors, we will not committing adultery with their spouse, we will not stealing from them, we will not bear false witness against them, or covet their property. By doing this what have we done? Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. (Romans 13:10) Are we only to obey the Ten Commandments? Now, we will get into this another time.

Let's see what the Lord says next. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. (Matthew 22:40)
