I love the parable of the mustard seed Jesus told, all we need is the faith as small as that seed to move mountains. Well one day i figured i would test this parable and i told my fear and doubt to go away. I commanded it to move in the name of jesus christ, it didn't work. I felt like an idiot i thought to my self my faith must be less of that than the mustard seed. Ever since then i have never been able to move my mountains by telling them to move except for a few days ago when i had had enough of the devil's whispering to me. I have always been kind of afraid of him because i thought I was to weak in my relationship with god but i was not afraid of him because i was so sick of him and i was filled with the holy spirit as i commanded him to get away from me. This is the only time i was able to move my mountains, but i wanted to hear what others have to say about this wonderful parable, i truly belive in its truth even though i have seen little results

If we have faith in God, then we can't ask what is not part of God's plan. If we did, it would say we didn't have faith in God.

We think in a reasoning, logical way. God is full of order but God creates, God doesn't use logic to create, He simply creates. God says that if we have faith, in other words if we learn God's ways and only operate within those ways through having faith, we have great creative power that comes through Him.

See, that is exactly what i was hoping to hear.

Matthew 17

19Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? 20And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. 21Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting

If the day came when Heavenly Father says to you move that mountain by talking to it.

Do not doubt by your own strength but Trust in He that spoke it to you.

Disobedience and unbelief is not pleasing to Heavenly Father.

Seek, read the Bible front to back Old and New.

Blain what do you think about this…. Loveme touched a little but if you study the Bible you will see only one thing made Jesus CRY (wept) here on earth….. Guess what it was…. UNBELIEF… The lack of FAITH IN HIM…So Jesus made a plan to SHOW how pleased he will be if ANYONE EVER BELIEVED IN HIM….
Jesus said… Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Now MANY come in His Name saying… I am a child of God (believe on Jesus) but BELIEVE NOT EVERY SPIRIT… for MANY false tachers and spirits are in this world… PUT THEM TO THE TEST…. How? I guess they will do greater works than Jesus!

Me, I WANT MANY THINGS FROM GOD….
But look at these people….These are the ones that will PASS THE TEST OF THE SPIRITS… But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

You and I still WANT TOO MUCH… we should let have patience have perfect work that we may be perfect and entire (full of the Spirit) WANTING NOTHING!

Blain, have you ever held a mustard seed? :)
The mustard seed is very small, and almost indistructable.
I use them alot when canning my pickles, and have dropped them a few times, you can step on one of these little seeds and they wil not be crushed, the mustard seed is one tough and indestructable little seed.
Imagine, one little seed can bare the weight of a person.
I love how many of the things refured to in scripture, carry so much of God's message simply in their being. :)

God bless

The first time it was your will to move mountains, it was not God's will. The second time you were afraid and asked God to protect you, That is His will.

Wow! such amazing answers:D I will take everything said to heart. But yes i agree the first time it was my will because i wanted my fears and doubts to go instantly away so i would have no unbeleif and i could finally serve god to the extent i always wanted. But the way the lord opperates is a slow and gradual climb so it was not his will however when the devil would not leave me alone a certain anger came out of nowhere and i said i had enough of him. I was stood my ground against the devil speaking to him directly full of the holy spirit. Telling him how he thinks himself strong but if he is so strong why does he only prey after the weak like me? I was not afraid to tell him it was not me who is weak but him for only the weak go after the weaker but strong seek stronger opponents.

Wow, so even such little amount of faith could be so strong as well. That is quite amazing, god knew what he was doing when he made that seed

The last thing i want to do is make my lord sad, i want to be one where if he looks down on earth he will find a person of faith and a person who truly seeks his heart. Thank you for your advice, i understand what i have to ask for now. Along with my prayers to have a much deeper relationship with him i will also ask him for enduring patience. You see this is how we christians should be to each other. Learning valuable lessons from each other not saying what we are doing wrong but teaching each other what we need:]

You have good advisors here and good advice, and I will not even begin to add or take away anything except to point out what a wonderful, supportive family is the Body of Yeshua, Jesus, amen. God bless you and hold you close always, amen.

Also i was wondering where else in the bible is the mustard seed used other than the gospels? and how does a mustard seed grow, what I mean by that is if our faith is like a mustard seed then How does the growth of our faith compare to a mustard seed? L

I could have all the faith in the world. Yet I could not move a mountain, not even a small hill. And the reason I cannot is because I have no word from God that He wants me to remove one. But if God should point to a certain mountain and say to me: "Remove that mountain to a yonder place," I would stand in the place where He spoke to me, turn toward that mountain and say "Remove, hence to yonder place." and it would be removed. Having no word from Him,every mountain will remain where they are.

A brother in Christ gave this definition of faith: " Faith is taking God at His word and responding accordingly. To this I say Amen.

Blain read about the growth of a mustard-seed in Luke 13:18 and 19. That little seed can grow to big tree!

You know what I just noticed here? :)

Definately something to wonder at. :)
