The Resurrection: Fact or fiction! Not a question.

The options:

1 Mistake: - The women mistook the grave.
2 Delusion - It was all in the mind; they saw a ghost.
3 Fraud: - The body was stolen by the Romans, the Jews or the disciples.
4 Swoon – He never died.
5 Magic! – was it sorcery.

Now let’s answer theses doubts with the following questions?

· Why was the tomb empty?
· Why couldn’t they produce the body?
· Why was there no evidence of decay in the tomb?
· Why were the clothes left behind?
· Why were people totally transformed?
· Why was Jesus seen by over (500) people after he was risen?
· Why would 11 men die for a lie?

You ask good questions. What do the witnesses say, what does the evidence say, what does a critical analysis of the gospels tell us?
The most devastating argument to the critics of today is the same one that could not be answered by the critics of the first century – What happened to the body? Corpus delicti – produce the body.

Acts 1 (NKJV)

1 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, [SUP]2 [/SUP]until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, [SUP]3 [/SUP]to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

well, yes thats really where the centre of Christian faith is. Even Apostle Paul talks about it, if you read 1 Cor 15:12-20.. you'll find what am talking about.
and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. - (1 Cor 15:14)

Here is a talk on this subject, i found it really helpful. Hope you do to. God bless
