and no one thought they were more righteous then these teachers of the law

since I am no expert, I would have to say we must look BEYOND ourselves for righteousness since even these experts didn't make the cut

Yep, these religious elite back then. they were ABOVE everybody else. THEY thought.. lolz.. until the Word of God confronted them with their Hypocrisy... lol... the 7 woes come to mind.. its really no different today.. THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD... exceeding the righteousness of the scribes / pharisees.... can you tell me what the Gift of Righteousness is?

NOW the Righteousness of God is MANIFESTED separate/apart from the Law, which is by Faith, being witnessed by the Law itself and the prophets.

the Righteousness God APPROVES and IMPUTES today is to believe on His Son, and His Appeasement at the tRee, by Faith in that.. sufficient.... for Justification and Imputed Righteousness.... righteousness attained by Adhering to the Law... is alien to the Righteousness of God which He Approves of Today... its set apart. separate........ The Law is still there, its good , Holy, but its not made for the Righteous Man, but for the disobedient. The Righteousness the Father approves and Imputes is not done by the person fulfilling the Law, Christ has done that.. but its thru Faith in His Son, and His Work at the tree.... Christ Jesus, God manifest in the flesh, the Source of Righteousness, the Gift of Righteousness.

For if by one man's offence(Adam) death reigned by one; much more they which Receive Abundance of Grace and of the Gift of Righteousness shall Reign in Life by one, Jesus Christ.)

The Gift of Righteousness... do you EARN that? do you pay for it?? do you work hard enough to Attain It? what are Gifts? are they not Granted and Distributed?

and when you make it very black/white, Who is the Gift of Righteousness?

according to the Way the Father laid it out... there is NO OTHER RIGHTEOUSNESS, that is Worthy of Him, other than Faith in His Sons Work at the Tree.. the Propitation. Indeed!

the PRIDE OF MAN.. will disdain the Righteousness of God, either add to it. or try to take something away from it.. when in Truth, its Perfection, the Person of Christ, God manifest in the flesh, the Gift of Righteousness.

How can simple Faith in His Son's Work, EXCEED , the righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisee's. those who are bound in religion and their minds blinded? to those this is FOOLISHNESS, to those who are Geunine -----> its the Power and Strength of God, because God Approves of it and He is the Source of the Righteousness.. Oh that Rest in the Complete Work of Calvary.... a Mystery to the world, foolishness and an offense to the religious elite of today.

that Simple Faith , FAITH TO BELIEVE ONTO SALVATION, WITH imputed Righteousness, in a Simple Gospel, Christ Crucified, OUTDOES, SUPERCEDES, GOES WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND ANY KIND OF 'righteousness' man may try to attain or obtain thru his/her religious accolades.

Yep the Shadow of the Cross, a hiding place , a refuge from the Storm , it is Security for those who are Genuninely In Him............ indeed.... people working their way to Heaven are not found here... no... actually it says, Very Few are found here... the Cross, Its Crucifixtion, Its Preaching, its Power, Its Wisdom, so many today , make it a tradition, when it Truthfully is not.. for the Genuine convert, its a year round deal.... indeed..

For many are Called, but Few Are Chosen.

Yes, absolutely. It is the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ, alone.

it's a really good picture of that, and of the Perfection God accepts.

only One Man ever achieved that Perfection, and it is freely given to those who are His.

If you LOOK at Christ Jesus, His Person, God manifest in the flesh... your looking at Pure Righteousness. not stained with the Carnal hands of the pride of men.

His Righteousness is a GIFT.. Gifts are GRANTED and in this case its Imputed by the Father.....Approved Righteousness of God...---------------->you dont work for it.. dont earn it... dont buy it or pay for it... ... you look at the Law, absent from Christ, that Law is your taskmaster, which will eventually BRING TO THE REVELATION of Christ's Righteousness, which is by FAITH IN HIS COMPLETED WORK AT THE TREE.. Faith in Christ's Work, Genuine Saving faith from the heart... EXCEEDS any measure of the work of a man woman or child to Attain a level of Righteousness... The Simplicity in Christ Jesus , it is so very simple, and for this reason the Serpent Corrupts .. he doesn't want you to 'know' the Simplicity in Christ... His Rest, His Imputed Righteousness.. Justification by Faith alone... he always plays off your pride.. feeding it.. oh your good enough.. thats good enough.. hath God really said? the Simplicity that is in Christ Crucified, A MYSTERY to the World, and many today who sit in congregations.. indeed!

Yes, Christ's righteousness reckoned to us, as opposed to the self-righteousness of the Pharisees -- ancient, or modern day, either one. It's all the same.

Amen! Good works do not make a person righteous, obeying the law does not make a person righteous. The only thing that makes a person righteous is faith in Jesus Christ, because He, then, cleanses us from all of our unrighteousness and imputes righteousness on us by faith, not by our working for it.

The righteousness of the scribes and pharisees was self-righteousness, thinking that their obedience to the law made them more righteous than other people whom they thought were less obedient, and that's why it was also hypocrisy. Because Nobody is more righteous than anybody else.

Yep the LIVING LAW was standing right in front of them back theN... They had no clue as to Who He was... other than to accuse Him, Slander Him, hunt Him down... lolz.. the Living Law, God manifest in the Flesh, the Living Torah, the Word of God.. Light came into Darkness, and the Darkness Comprehended it NOT.. Only God Himself can make a person see True Light, see the Gift of Righteousness for WHO HE IS . no works of the Law, no matter Awesome or Good they are can 'equal' Christ AND WHAT He has accomplished, why do you think God the Father, Chose Saul of Tarsus? look at him pre conversion and then after.. thats the Work of God... indeed... flesh- Works of the Law, making Him the Pharisee above all Pharisee.. did Paul go back to the Law after Jesus met him? no.. the Just shall live by Faith, and the Life I know Live in this flesh I live by the Faith of the Son of God , who loved me and who gave Himself for me.. indeed!

Okay I have a question for you who Truly Understand that it is By Grace that ye are Saved, THRU FAITH, ... this not of works or yourself...... lest any man should boast...

MyQuestion: each YEAR that goes by I see more and more 'christians'.. claiming Christ, yet aDhering to the Law, you have His Cross, then you must meet the standards of the Law.. a kind of Galatia type atmosphere, if you put it in simple terms...

How does this MOVEMENT tie into end time events? do you know the Mystery behind a GALATIA type of 'global christianity' prior to His Coming for His Bride and His Un Veiling from Heaven?


When Christ Returns, Will He find Genuine Faith?
