As I considered your words of caveat I realized that my faith in God and my relationship with Him is steadfast enough to endure any words that may try to trample my pearls here. In other words I believe what God told me this morning in an unshakeable, unsiftable way ... no one can trample that revelation for me. Nor can I be torn to bits here, because for me God's instruction to me is far above anyone else's.

So I guess my plea was simply that we discuss our mutual understanding of the verses in a respectful manner ... which - praise God! - it has been. :)

I think we should all be able to offer our insights without a need to tear down anothers' - unless they clearly oppose the truth of the message.
Thats why I whispered in your ear, because its not safe to share carnal things here ;)

I would do that in private with christians I trust but not on the board so much but you are one of the cool ones you could share with. I appreciate your sharing Sis and the way you do it, keep it up

God the Father bless you richly in Christ Jesus our Lord

There are some really great revelations that God has shared with me ... the key to deciphering the book of revelation ... architectural insight into the plans of Ezekiels temple ...personal visions of extraordinary things ... that I would not bring to the board - and perhaps (probably) to no one.

To me this thread represents more a sharing of milk than of meat.

I'm sorry ... but I'm not sure what you are trying to convey, precisely ...
Why did God cause blindness in Paul's eyes? Were his eye problems later in life vestiges of this incident?

Paul is quite unique among the apostles.

I'm just suggesting we need the right questions to yield the right answers.

Wasnt that they which say they see be made blind and then double back and make the blind to see?

Yes indeed ... we are all blind until we receive the Holy Spirit ...

The Laodicean's believed they could see and had all they needed apart from God ... But God counsels them saying they are indeed blind and should buy salve for their eyes ...

These people have by no means received salvation yet~ they are truly at the bottom rung with everything to receive and learn.

To the Church in Laodicea

14 “To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17 You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.

19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. 22 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Quoting you for the "translated words"

Sister........ In my opinion........

God judges justly regardless of our condition saved or unsaved.....as for using scales....well, problem is ONE sin outweighs a lifetime of good works does it not? That is, if that sin is not repented of.....

Paul was struck blind, and I always saw this as his eyes were "crusted" over, and those were the scales that fell. Sometimes, again, in my opinion, Scripture is really as simple as it reads with no hidden meaning.

His (Paul's) state before salvation was a problem with his heart..........and God dealt with that as well. :)

Anyway, that' just me I suppose.
It reads in English according to the words translated from the Greek...but 'sister'? where did that come from?
