I heard the first part and stopped listening.

Anyone who begins by announcing the title in such a bored voice cannot possibly know anything about that banquet of 8 courses.

How in the world did he make Shir ha-Shirim sound that boring?

You listened to literally One minute out of a Two Hour study ~!

That means, your too lazy to study..Your making excuses not to read God's words ( 2 Timothy 2:15 )..... Back to your tantra nonsense I guess.

The Song of Solomon is a Hebraic poem about how sex is almost wrong, but ok as long as their is procreation involved and very little pleasure.

It is a story about two people, an ancient monk and a nun. One was named Shlomo and the other was named Shloma. They met one day and mutually agreed that, since there was apparently some force of nature called the Flora and Fauna, they should begin to procreate. So that's exactly what they did when they were married.

Ever since that time it has been the inspiring story to generations of Christians about something that they're not really sure as to what it means, but some guy named brother Ralph or something told them that it was about Jesus and the Church one time and it was good for a few blushes and giggles in a youth rally and then summarily was put on the shelf to collect dust and taken out from time to time if requirement made it necessary. But it does have some deer, flowers, grapes and pomegranates in it, so it's at least good to remind ourselves that we wondered what it meant once in our lives.

Sorry to disappoint, but this Bible study is Not about putting emphasis on the physical nature of the words, used on the surface of the song, but rather the spiritual connotations relating to Christs love for His Elect.

This thread is to be a Bible study. For How the song is about the Bridegroom Christ, and his bride the Church. And related scriptures and Hebrew word studies using the Strong's concordance..

Nothing more Nothing less .

Interesting.

Something else that is interesting is that the sandskrit word 'Tanta' means 'spinning', 'weaving', 'turning', 'spiraling'.

It is interesting on several spiraling levels as well.

The Song reads
Till thy Morning Dawn I see,
Till my Shadows far do flee,
By aethyric revolutions, Lover, make me turn with thee!

When Christ comes, He put His own spin on the matter, saying

And why do you worry about garments? Consider the Meadow Saffrons and how they grow; they never work, neither do they spin a thread: And yet I say to you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. -- Matthew 6:28-29

Stop what? I'm trying to study the Bible with you.

Besides, the Shulamite is the Twilight Zone before the Dawn of Solomon the Stag over the Mountains. That's why it says, Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense. -- Sol. 4:6

Nathan3, just ignore him.

I was going verse by verse in a study here...I let it fall away and am working my way back into the study. :) Only got to verse 3 of the deep look at Song of Songs. :) I have also written a fictitious short story called Dearest Aunt Tabitha, which I hope to get published someday. :)

Your posting Music videos and babbling . How old are you ? If you want to talk about the scripture seriously, That would have been more obvious to me. But I detect little to non of that at all . More like just giving up.
