ANGLES are not helpers, but ANGELS are.. :)
Hebrews 1:13-14King James Version (KJV)[SUP]13 [/SUP]But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

That's what I took from these verses. They are to minister for us who are heirs of salvation.

1 Kings 19:5-9King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?

An angel brought him food. To me that is helping which is why I said they are helpers.

You totally missed the point of my reply. An ANGEL IS a helper. An ANGLE is not. An angle is NOT an angel. :)

I have two Aunts who are kinda into this. They seem to think they need to tell God how to manage His angels. They will command angels to form protection around their homes and things like that. I have always disagreed with how they go about it.

There are no instances in Scripture where humans were able to give angels commands, either in their own name or in Jesus’ name. There are no passages where man has control over the work of the angels. We do know that they are beings of higher rank, since Jesus had to make Himself “lower than the angels” in order to be born and suffer as a man (Hebrews 2:7-9; Psalm 8:4-5).

Angels are called God’s “holy angels,” who do His bidding, not ours (Matthew 25:31; Revelation 14:10).
Matthew Chapter 26
53 Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father,
and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

Yes, there's a huge difference between asking God for His divine protection (warrior angels etc.) and trying to summon angels yourself. The latter is clearly witchcraft and not something to be dabbled in!

After God gave Jesus the angels would He summoned them or just call them when He needed them?

It is sin and I'd you need an answer or miracle ask God in Jesus name because when we ask in Jesus name it gives results because the name of Jesus reminds God of His covenant and covenant pertains promises . not angels we ask in Jesus name .

I'm not sure, but Jesus being both the Son of God and God, has more authority over angels than we do. If we have any authority, it's because of who were are in Christ. It's still a terribly dangerous and stupid idea for humans to summon angels though.

I don't think equating Jesus with mere humans is quite the same, and the point is he didn't do it.y6

"YAHWEH TSABAOTH

The Lord Of Hosts. 1Sam 1v3. This battle cry of the saints occurs 281 times in the Old Testament. Psalm 46v7,11. Our Lord said He could CALL for “twelve legions of angels,” in Matt 26v53, it was part of His normal practice in His ministry to the multitudes. It seems Elisha also invoked the name of Yahweh for angelic help; “They that be with us are more than they that be with them.” 2Kings 6v15-18. David beat Goliath by calling on the name of Yahweh. 1Sam 17v45."

You can find a bit of a study
Here on the Name of Jesus and the covenant Names of Yahweh...

Yahweh Shalom

We one can 'summon' all they want. Angels do not obey man, but God. So if someone is foolish enough to try, it is highly unlikely that they would get heavenly, God-commissioned angels, but rather and impostor. And we ALL KNOW what that means.
