I see that there is a massive cultural barrier that is hard to relate over a forum, without personal interaction. I will do some more research on this issue. You must realize that in western culture, kissing an object goes beyond having respect for the object, but signifies a relationship with the object. The action seems wildly absurd to most western Christians. Perhaps this is where the problem lies. Again, I will continue researching.
Yes i understand.Your view on kissing someone or somewhat meaning we worship that.In eastrn cultures things are different.
On example, today my relatives visited me.Abourt 15 of them and i kissed all of them in cheek as they do that to me.Does it looks as worship?
Indeed,i heard that in USA relatives do not visit each others often,or neighbers do not know each others.Culture is very different then here.I do not want to point us as great example, there r same things here also, but very very less. How is it came to be the case in USA?

I agree that American culture is rather impersonal.
I still see 'kissing' as showing relationship even in your culture. You kiss your relative to show love for them, no?

Can you say that you have a personal relationship with any of the Saints, or that you love them? If not, kissing seems beyond the line of respect. If you can say you have a personal relationship and love the Saint, then I question how you got to know them.

Tomorrow I will post some arguments against Iconodulism. I didn't want to go into anything too fast, because I don't want you to be offended, or think that I am being malicious. I believe we are brothers in Christ, and I think we can mend our differences in open debate.
I hope you can see that even though I disagree, I am not judging. I think that I am correct, as you think you are correct, and I'd like to see if we can find a middle-ground that doesn't compromise any Biblical principles.

Good, first thing which leading to the truth is fulfilled, opened debate without juding.
If u understand our eastern culture, how we express our respection, love and appreciation(veneration-even my google translator says it is respect with fear which i cannot agree,it is deep respect actually) then u will ones for all times put the bounds between veneration of icons and worship of God.U are on good path.
U asked me how i know Saints?
Orthodox Church,as R Catholic also, have Lifes of the Saints.Tradition in Orthodox Church is to write how does their greatest examples of life by the Gospel lived.Every day 3-4-5 Saints are commemorated.Yesterday it was Saint George.Who want to know much personal some saint can read about his life,or hear from priest.Extraordinary lifes they had. That is how we get respect for those peoples of God and know them.On example not so far i heard for Saint Moses the Ethiopian then i read his life and was really touched! How thief, leader of gang and murder became example of humility.
Hope u understood me.
