How true..... Einstein, that is.:)
So if the universe is infinite body of space then how could it expand since being infinite it would already consist of all space?

And if the universe is a infinitive body of space then that is merely saying it is a measurable volume of space that is finite body of space that is merely increasing in volume relative to time.

So.....Being as wise as a SERPENT, but as harmless as a dove.....

Which wisdom is he talking about as applied unto the serpent?
How was the serpent wise? Because he thought that a good tree produces only good fruit then the eternal God could only have created an eternal man since a good tree can not bring forth evil fruit, so how could an eternal God create mortality.

You mentioned the wisdom of the serpent, I take it you were referring unto Genesis 3:1

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

So what does be wise as the serpent imply to you?

I've killed a lot of serpents,
I've slayed a lot of devilish pests
I've been told a lot of Truths, but yet
I've still a lot of Truths to get...

Oh, ok. Of course, the serpent in the garden wasn't actually a person who was formed from the dust of the ground, but a talking reptile right?

be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. Matt 10:16

So who would the serpents be, the talking reptiles? and the doves being those who have eternal life now?

I've killed a lot of serpents,
Did they have six fingers? Sam 21:20

If a man has six fingers then maybe the fifth finger was called a rod since the last appendage on a man's hand is the thumb.

2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.
3 And he said, Cast it on the ground. And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it.
4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail. And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand:
Ex 4:2-4

And the LORD said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet. Ex 7:1
For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. Ex 7:12

I believe when Jesus told his disciples to be wise as serpents he was referring to being prudent or cunning as the serpent. Notice the word subtil....

Now the serpent [SUP]H5175[/SUP] was [SUP]H1961[/SUP] more subtil [SUP]H6175[/SUP] than any beast [SUP]H2416[/SUP] of the field [SUP]H7704[/SUP] which the LORD [SUP]H3068[/SUP] God [SUP]H430[/SUP] had made. [SUP]H6213[/SUP] And he said [SUP]H559[/SUP] unto the woman, [SUP]H802[/SUP] Yea, [SUP]H637[/SUP] hath God [SUP]H430[/SUP] said, [SUP]H559[/SUP] Ye shall not eat [SUP]H398[/SUP] of every tree [SUP]H6086[/SUP] of the garden? [SUP]H1588

The KJV translates Strong's H6175 in the following manner:
prudent (8x), crafty (2x), subtil (1x).

[/SUP]

  1. subtle, shrewd, crafty, sly, sensible
    1. crafty
    2. shrewd, sensible, prudent

From the root....עָרוּם ʻârûwm, aw-room'; passive participle of H6191; cunning :—crafty, prudent, subtil.

Same word as subtil H6175 is also shown as prudent H6175 shown here.....

We learn the wisdom of the world from the, people and the world around us.

Only the Holy Spirit teaches us heavenly wisdom..

He teaches us about grace. He teaches us rest and trust and abiding in His promises.

He teaches us to forgive..to pray instead of curse. To be humble and allow God to stand true and pure and strong.

When people seek to harm us, we seek our Father. Instead of striking back we pray for our enemies.

Such wisdom goes against the world's wisdom to look out for number one, get them before they get you. Pride, arrogance, the need to be right...is all from demonic teachings...

Let the world be wrong and God be right and all glory to Him.

for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light. Luke 16:8
That is an interesting parable about how the children of this world are wiser in worldly matters than the children of light with spiritual matters, that is "in their generation" which is the generation of Adam.

Here is the parable in context....

Luke 16:1-11

16 And he said also unto his disciples, There was a certain rich man, which had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods.

[SUP]2 [/SUP]And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?

[SUP]6 [/SUP]And he said, An hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, An hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and write fourscore.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?"

Jesus in this parable is symbolizing unjust spiritual stewards given spiritual gifts to a unjust carnal steward given the carnal gifts of the unrighteous money. Jesus was showing how this unjust steward which wasted his God given talents would then in fear make the right decision and forgive others their debts which is symbolic of forgiving others their trespasses.

Jesus was also a bit sarcastic in this parable when he said " And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations."

Jesus was not talking about everlasting life there, but rather everlasting destruction for those who fail and do not forgive, and for those who serve and are friends of the mammon of unrighteousness.

Matthew 18:23-35 and Matthew 25:14-30 are also in line with this message.

Matthew 16:3 (KJV)

And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites,
ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of thetimes?

Luke 12:56 (KJV)

Ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth;
but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

-

Isaiah 46:10 (KJV)

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done,
saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV)

He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart,
so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Here is an old post I wrote that also speaks to the topic of the OP, and that is we speak of what we see and hear.....

There are 2 main natures and 2 main seeds 2 main minds/spirits shown in scripture, one is of the earth and is flesh being carnally minded, and the other is from heaven above being Spirit and is spiritually minded. The ones who are of this world, and who are of the spirit of this world often speak lies by the spirit of their father the Devil working in them. How we see, hear, perceive, and understand scripture depends on what spirit we are of, and in turn it also effects the way we think and speak.

Jesus said of the hypocrites of His day, and of the Devil in
John 8:44 “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” It there being the spirit of a lie.

But God the Father in Heaven has the opposite of that
spirit, which is the Spirit of Truth, as God’s words are Truth. So those who speak by His Spirit speak the Truth in righteousness. So basically you have 2 witnesses prophesying in the world as shown here in
Proverbs 14:25 “A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.” Let’s confirm this concept of how one speaks by some other verses of scripture.

John the Baptist said in
John 3:31 “He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.” This is how the natural man being yet carnal speaks, because he is yet flesh, earthy, and carnally minded and only knows what he knows naturally.

But those who are of God’s Spirit have His witness dwelling in them, and they speak of what they know, see and hear of Him. But the
natural man cannot receive His testimony because it is spiritually discerned as shown here in
1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”

Just as the
world and those who are of the world cannot receive the Spirit of Truth.
John 14:17 “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” So basically you have the wisdom of this world being spoken by those who are of the spirit of this world, but you also have the wisdom that is from above spoken by those who are of God’s Spirit.

But there are those who claim to be of God and of His Spirit, but really they are of the
spirit of this world which speaks lies dressed up like the Truth. And that is what is shown here in the symbolism of the false prophet image in
Revelation 13:11 “And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.” And again, the Devil speaks lies being the father of lies.

But Jesus told His disciples they would be given another mouth, and they would speak with new tongues.
Mark 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” Luke 21:15 “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.”

Paul understood many in early congregations were yet
carnal, and were unable to receive the deeper spiritual things spoken by the Holy Spirit. Paul told them he could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, and that they were not able to bear it. Just as old wine skins are unable to receive and retain the new wine, the old carnally minded man is unable to receive and retain the spiritual testimony from above until he is made new man in Christ.

But those who are born of God’s spiritual seed in Christ have His witness dwelling in them.
Isaiah 59:21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the Lord; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.”

This forever covenant with the indwelling of God’s Word and Spirit is confirmed with Jesus in
John 14:16 “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;”

So both we and they speak, and also do what we have seen of our Father, and they of their father. Jesus said
John 8:38 “I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.”

Matthew 10:19-20 “
But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.”

Ephesians 3:14-19

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; 17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

I love this section in Proverbs

Proverbs 8:

1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice?

2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths.

3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors.

4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man.

5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart.

6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips.

8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them.

9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge.

10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold.

11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions.

13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength.

15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.

16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.

17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.

19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.

24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.

25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:

26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.

27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:

28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:

29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;

31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.

32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.

35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.

36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Here is the parable in context....

Yeah, it is always important to take things in context....

[h=1]Luke 11:9-13[/h] [SUP]9 [/SUP]And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
[SUP]13 [/SUP]If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? :)
