I agree that it is the tribulation, but I see the trib as 3-1/2 years, not 7.

This reference to Jacob's troubles was in a previous post by Zone, and she cited Daniel 12 as the reference, but I do not see anything refering to Jacob's troubles. As for the greatest Tribulation ever was or ever to be, I have never heard it refered to in this manner. Perhaps someone will give the exact reference and connection of the two? Thank you.

Perhaps I am rereading it and not seeing it. I see the Book of Life is referenced, which would contain all names entered into it from Adam to the return of the Master. I do not see a direct reference to something called "Jacob's problem." Thank you.

often the book of revelation is its own dictionary...

for most of revelation 12 the woman clearly represents what we would call 'the church'...or the body of christ...

by analogy the harlot in revelation 17 is also a church body...in this case an idolatrous false church...and the fact that she rides the beast shows that this is an official state church...

The first three and a half are relative peace followed by betrayal great, strife and judgment.

You know the book of Revelation isn't as mythical as we make it. John gets a metaphorical vision and then the vision is explained immediately after.
