Do you ever notice when we stop reading the Word and spending time with the Lord more things happen to us or we start becoming more worldly? I recently started another job and I work basically 7 days a week 12 hours a day. I have spent a lot less time with the Lord and have noticed my attitude has changed, I slip up some with language due to co-workers using curse words all the time.

Even if this wasn't my situation, I still have every day life to contend with and for someone to come out and say they never sin is a total lie. I believe this is what the Pharisees were doing and Jesus was pretty straight forward concerning them.
Not only is it a lie Lance......it is abusive to tell someone that they must be perfect. Can you imagine doing that to a child? Holding them to that standard? The reality of the mindset of sinless perfection is that it has more in common with violent criminals, rapists and murderers than it does with anything regarding Jesus, the cross, salvation, redemption, sanctification or the gospel. Whenever I see it I want to throat punch them for all the harm they cause to Gods children. I repent for wanting to throat punch them. Lol

Jesus went and set the captives free... usually interpreted to mean, those
of old, are saved, because their faith was after all counted as righteousness :)
yep another instance of people being saved more than once :)

why is it so hard for so many, the Truth of 'OVER-COMING' our sins and what it takes
for us in order to do such, 'put them BEHIND us' as we grow in Christ, day-by-day???

this is such a precious GIFT, given to us by our Saviour's continuel interceding
for us upon our 'repentance', while He sits on the 'right-hand-of-God...

He didn't say not saved. Daniel did have faith.

If you do a word study on the scripture that says we sit with Him in heavenly places...you will see the greek is saying that we are above our flesh nature...the position of righteousness through faith.

Ben is speaking about the life in the Spirit too. It was a great post.

Born again and saved are synonymous......the OT saints had faith and were led of the Spirit....the only thing that changed was the covenant.....David speaks to this......and I apologized to Ben for misunderstanding his point!

No one is not advocating for not doing this....obviously we should confess, repent and seek to walk faithfully.....the whole point of this thread is I am sick of those who claim that they are sinless or above sin or better than those who acknowledge they fail occasionally and sin.....

I stumble even when I'm walking on solid flat ground. Forget mountain climbing.. lol :p

#Biggest clutz ever
Me too given my arthritic knees.

Mind you when I had my first knee ligament repair, the day following the op a Christian came to me and said something along the lines "because I played football on a Sunday morning God allowed my anterior cruitiate ligament to be ripped apart"

Even though I went to the evening service which they didn't go to.

How sad, if only they had took the time to ask why I was devestated before their comment.
I had been told by the surgeon, sorry but the professinal clubs chasing you will not sign you up. Your knee won't hold up to it.

Lets not shoot the wounded.

Not hardly......man....what are you smoking......they were OT saints that had to await Christ's resurrection and ascension in Abraham's bosom....they WERE already saved ONCE!

Dude you take the proverbial cake for sure.........there is no such thing as twice saved

Even if such people attained a sinless walk, their judging of others would implicate them before God as being prideful. Which would then counteract their sinless position.

With you on that one. Your failing may not be the same as mine and mine not yours.

I thankful that Jesus wasn't a Pharisee but he came to reveal what real life is like and how it affects us. He didn't say "Buck up your life, he said I know how hard life is for you, that's why I'm here, let's walk together, I love you so much, even when you fall my hand is stretched out, just grab it and I'll pull you back up, for every time you fall the every time my hand is still stretched out"

I also want you to know that the Father loves you as much as loves me.

I am with you my child all the way

Have it translated biblically and you will understand what is actually being said....until the sin debt had been satisfied by the sacrifice of Jesus the saved went to Abraham's bosom....Luke 16 covers this....that is what he is speaking about.....and I like your post because of the dude comment.......... ;)

You DEMAND? Seriously? Why not just humbly ASK for an apology, instead of DEMANDING one? :)
Why ask for an apology?
Can one humbly ask or an apology?

To me thinking about asking/demanding an apology is like saying take the plank out of your eye but I'll keep mine in my eye.

Its like I'll only forgive you if you ask, rather than I forgive before you ask.

If we forgive before we ask and they then ask for forgiveness we say already forgiven.

To forgive is to set the prisoner free, only to realise that the prisoner was you

When someone is 'full' of the holy spirit, do they also sin, or isn't that the thing about holy spirit, if you walk without self but with only the holy spirit, then aren't you sinless 'at that moment in time'? I would say I've been in that state once in my life, it was an experience I'll never forget. I can't say whether it is possible to stay in that state, but you know, I definitely want to walk with spirit 100% again (not <100%).

The body which is flesh, made of cells, and atoms, does not sin without the soul acting on it, just as the soul is not saved without the holy spirit saving it. The body does not save the soul, it makes the soul sin. The holy spirit does not make the soul sin, it saves the soul. The holy spirit animates the soul, but the body kills it. That is why those who are slave to the flesh and worldly affairs are in a way, walking dead. Those who make the decision to walk more with the holy spirit, are brought to life.

I think those who have been known to preserve the walk with spirit are those known as saints (or am I wrong?). And I don't mean have become sinless, I'm sure they all had their bad days! Don't we all?
