To my best knowledge there will at times be different shades of honesty. A post can be somewhat honest, but dishonest about other things.

Something written can be honest to the author, but seen from a different angle, it will come across a half truth or a lie. The back and forth between several posters here is an example.

The post I commented on was something I found to be completely honest. It was saying something I could relate to. Keep in mind, we're all speaking on our own behalf.

I can only speak for myself, and that was what I was doing.
Yeah I got your point.....and in all honesty....we are both right! ;)

I'm sure glad Christ didn't refer to me as "these people".

Nope.

I have hope in something I'm sure of and that's Christ.
Amen....BIBLICAL HOPE<---assurance of something guaranteed....not the kind of worldly hope when you buy a lottery ticket.....like some here hold to!

i could say that I would die for my son without hesitation, but I can't say for certainty I would for anyone on this forum. You're still talking a big talk Peter. I don't think too many believe you.
Sirk - In the end do any of us when push comes to shove say I would definately
do this and not that.

If I saw a problem coming I would certainly try and do something to help.
But you have to decide beforehand, how much does your life matter?

It is rare this choice even comes up. In war people have jumped on grenades,
or seen someone in trouble and gone out to help them.

A friend of mine was in a civil war. He was in the air force and was on the ground
at the time. A soldier had got hurt and needed helping. He saw there were bullets
flying everywhere so he went out to drag the guy to safety. He was one of the
enemy. My friend got a bullet in his chest, but the bullet was absorbed by a
flask he had in his top pocket. So you see in a need and take a risk.

I have helped people climbing and skiing, and am not afraid of risks.
And my life is in the Lords hands. So why do you guys say no, I would not
do that? Where is your heart? What are you living for? What is so safe you
would not risk it?

I have friends die of cancer, pnemonia, depression. Why not me? Why them?
Why am I so precious?

Christ calls us to reach out for others and take life seriously.

Risk. Are you willing to admit every second your life could go?
It is a privilege, a gift to burn alight for the Lord.

Risking life stupidly

There was a film about climbing Everest and people getting into trouble.
So to save one guy they sent up 8 people. And 7 died in the attempted rescue.

So in reality this was not a rescue, it was 7 more dead people thrown away.

In the UK young people and dogs fall in weirs, strong flowing canals where large
amounts of water pour over a small edge. Adults jump in to try and save the
dog or child. The currents are such, the bigger the body the easier it gets dragged
under, so the adult dies and the dog or child survive. This is where it is a waste.

So if you understand danger, and the risks you can make a choice.

On the other side of this I had a friend who was riding his motobike. An elderly person
was trying to cross the road. My friend thought he could make it past the person before
they got to the other side so sped up. Unfortunately so did the person crossing the road.
In the end he through the bike on the ground and bailed out taking out the pedestrian.
He should have slowed down and aimed at the pedestrian. But again this is tough.

I was on a motoway with a motobike in front of me. He came off his bike. No reason, the front
wheel went sideways and off he came. He rolled like a log down the road. I braked but his
deaccelerating body was quicker than my car. I swerved out of the way and got hit by a
car on the inside lane. It was take the risk or drive over the motor cyclist. I stopped parallel
to him. It meant on full breaking I was 4 ft out. He was ok, but I could have killed him.
Motocycles freak me out now, because they are so vulnerable.

I don't know what your talking about......maybe context will tell me...All I did was make a generalized statement
You know dc ive had it with you... yopu know fine well you have felt like fighting people when theyve hurt you. or would hurt your family..

To say that ia m wrong for confessing a sin that i sometimes feel like punching people even know i dont do that when i feel like it... is just one total hipocrit in my book.

Believers are bound to forgive......70*7
And 70x7 is an idiom for an infinite number of times.

Peter knew what he was doing when he asked this question. The law demands fewer times than 7. So Peter was asking," So I have to forgive more than the Law demands?"

For sure..........just like Jesus eternally forgives those who exercise faith......HIS MERCY ENDURES FOR EVER!

LUKE 13:28.
There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob,
and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.
Yep, written unto self righteous Pharisees who trusted in their works for salvation.......
