Saturday 7-29-23 7th. Day Of The Weekly Cycle, AV 11 5783, 38th. Summer Day

Sabbat Shalom/Happy Sabbath Or Good Morning

Psalms 86

Teach Me Thy Way, O LORD

1 Bow down thine ear, O Lord, hear me: for I am poor and needy.

2 Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save thy servant that trusteth in thee.

3 Be merciful unto me, O Lord: for I cry unto thee daily.

4 Rejoice the soul of thy servant: for unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

5 For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

6 Give ear, O Lord, unto my prayer; and attend to the voice of my supplications.

7 In the day of my trouble I will call upon thee: for thou wilt answer me.

8 Among the gods there is none like unto thee, O Lord; neither are there any works like unto thy works.

9 All nations whom thou hast made shall come and worship before thee, O Lord; and shall glorify thy name.

10 For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone.

11 Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.

12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.

13 For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

14 O God, the proud are risen against me, and the assemblies of violent men have sought after my soul; and have not set thee before them.

15 But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.

16 O turn unto me, and have mercy upon me; give thy strength unto thy servant, and save the son of thine handmaid.

17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

Love, Walter And Debbie

If it's so important for us to call the Lord Yeshua, why didn't the New Testament writers use that name in their writings. Have we discovered a better way they didn't know about?

What are you saying? It is not important?
Yes, that's what I'm saying, it's not important. You may think it is; and you may want others to think it is but it's not.

God does not belong to Israel, but rather Israel belongs to God. Didn't Paul say something along the thought that, "when I'm with the Jews I speak as a Jew, and when I'm with the Gentiles, I speak as a gentile" ?

That is your belief.
No, it's scripture. All the Greek manuscripts refer to Him as Iēsoûs (Jesus). Are you saying you know something the New Testament writers didn't?

There is definitely neither nothing wrong with calling Him Yeshua, and I've even called out hastily, "Joshua!" thinking of Jesus' Name in a plea to Him to save/protect my son, so named, in a moment of immediate danger. And He answered just as speedily. Personally, I think it is possible that the Name written on His thigh, that nobody "knows" but Him, might actually be "Trinity."

Not that they didn't know.
So they all knew His name was Yeshua, and that believers would be especially blessed if they called him by that name rather than His Greek name; but nevertheless they went ahead and used His Greek name anyway? Where in the New Testament do they clarify this? Where does it say: "Look, I know I'm referring to Him as Iēsoûs, but you should actually call Him Yeshua if you really want to be in God's will." Just show me chapter and verse.

We actually believe in One Doctrine and we understand what Jesus was talking about in John 7:14-24.

We are talking about what we both know according to our belief.

Yes, that's what I'm saying, it's not important. You may think it is; and you may want others to think it is but it's not.
Yeshua translates to English, and all languages as Redeemer Yah or you may say Redeemer God.
Jesus is jusst fine, however if one knows in the Spirit exactly what the name means origainally for Jesus is not a translation, rather it is simply a transliteration.

Ergo when the angel pronounced to Mary she would call the Child Yeshua, it actually meant something, and he went on to say, qualifying the name choice, for He will save His people. His people are all who believe Him.

Knowing why some prefer to call Him Yeshua makes all the difference. Sometimes I call Him Yeshi Yah, my Redeemr Yah.

There is not harm in attmpting to know how things were when He walked this, His earth.
