I believe you (Chris1975) and I discussed Matt 7:23 in the Hebrews thread. Here's what your Pastor Robert Morris says about that verse at 14:57:


Stop saying these people lost their salvation. Because here's what Jesus said to them "I never knew you. We never met." He didn't say I knew you but you fell away and I don't know you any more. You never had true salvation.


Another point he makes at 26:38:

This is the big point I want you to understand. This is what bothers me the most about true salvation. Most preaching on true salvation puts the responsibility for change on you and that's what bothers me. The responsibility for change is not on you. It's on God. The responsibility to accept God is on you. But if you accept Him He changes you.
