How will that help you?
I don't understand.
Is all power and authority given to her? Or any of the other saints?
What does the Holy Writ say?

Matthew 28:18-19King James Version (KJV)
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

and:

1 Chronicles 29:11-13King James Version (KJV)

11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

and:

Matthew 6:13King James Version
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

and:

Matthew 22:44
King James Version
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool.

Who is the sovereign?
Who has the power?
Who died for you?
Did Mary or the saints????

...........Or did Jesus?
(We pray to Him, because He is the one who redeemed us, not Mary or any other saint.)

Man,Theotokos and saint do their prayers to Jesus Christ our God and Savior.Who ever said that they r mediators when that is Jesus? No one.But by their prayers to God(Jesus Christ who is our mediator) all things are possible.Power of prayer have no limit. What is so strange in that?

What is so strange in that is you don't go straight to the mediator.
The whole purpose of the veil being torn from top to bottom is that we can boldly go to Jesus himself.

Matthew 27:51, Mark15:38; Luke 23:45King James Version (KJV):
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Hebrews 4:16King James Version (KJV)
:
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Man,didnt Jesus comanded that we should pray one for another?Do we dont c,even here on this forum, requests for prayes?Do not mix this as we use Theotoko and saints as mediators which taking place of our Savior Jesus Christ, because u wont get that in Orthodox Church. They are powerful intermediaries between us and Jesus Christ simply because they r on Heavens,in front of Heavenly Throne and imagine, they do not sleep, they are alive more then here on earth. They do not sleep at all,but pray all the time.

Man, when does God sleep?
Man, who is your mediator?

1 Timothy 2:5 King James Version (KJV)

5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

I pray for the living who need prayer to Jesus - the mediator of the new covenant.
I didn't twist your words.
You said you pray to Jesus through saints.
I told you the bible says that JESUS ALONE is the mediator of the new covenant.
To venerate saints is idolatry.
I tell you they don't like it!
They know who their Savior is......they know who was worthy to break the seventh seal.
They know they were dead in trespasses and sins without Him.... and they grieve that some venerate them as being 'Holy'.
I tell you they do.

WHO IS AFRAID OF SAINTS?
One of the aspects that protestants think that makes orthodoxism repulsive is the worship of saints. The idea of kneeling to another man, invoking him in prayers is perceived as an offence to God and a return to paganism. For this supreme argument against Christianity, protestants have been praised by scientific atheists which saw in them the forerunners of illuminism and of humanism.
Possibly, the most expressive work against holiness is ”The genealogy of morale” by Friederich Nietzsche. He was convinced that priests gave charity at times only because it made them feel superior to the man in whose cap they threw a nickel. All militant atheists have the same way of thinking .For this category of people, had he not been a chicken eater during Easter fast, divinized by fellow monks, the saint would have been a ragged madman – in which the simple saw a materialization of their own suffering .This is why they turned him into o hero. Some atheists do not exclude the possibility of a self-indulged mystical delirium, caused by poverty and hunger or by women’s thirst for the unnatural.
Few know that “ The Antichrist” ‘s author was the son of a lutheran preacher. The detail concerning the confessional apartanence of Nietzsche is not without importance. The visions of the thinker who inspired Hitler, his thirst for a “gay” religion, as he called it, are an inevitable consequence of his Lutheran education. Lutherans – like all protestants and neoprotestants exclude the possibility of man cooperating with God because they believe Christ has done it all and man has no participation in his own saving. That is why the “superman” Nietzsche created is nothing other than a monster hatched in his subconscious devoid of the image of man as a superior being. The Nietzsche superman is a pathetic substitute of a Christian saint.
I do not want to give a list of Bible quotes to support the worship of saints but the fact that atheists, sects of all kinds and the Nietzsche type of persons shake hands when it comes to denying the worship of saints is revealing.
Holiness is the only thing one cannot take pride in, as one loses it the minute he does so. Holiness is the constant growth in acknowledging one’s weakness and flaws(S.Nil from Sorska) and I don’t think any of the opponents of worshiping saints want this for themselves. These men we honour not as gods, but as friends and guides , just as persons that surpassed us in some virtue. In the end, the worship of saints confirm that Christ is present in history and he works through people “ till the end of time”
There is no other reason people reject saints but self pride. The man lacking raw models and precursors expel himself from history .He creates a history that includes nobody but him, like a conceited and idiot Neron. It was not pointless that Nietzsche wrote “ Inopportune Considerations Against History” in which he imagines history as a river that prevents mankind from progress. Eventually, the man who faught holiness, history came to creating his personal history which began with himself. Communists created “homo sovieticus” , the man who works well in factories , and neo-protestants - the brother in spirit who gave up smoking, drinking, wears a tie and reads the Bible.
Indeed, maybe the times of saints imitating Jesus in a world like ours is long passed. Saint Paul says, referring to holiness: “But in a great house there are not only gold and silver vassels but also wooden and earthen; and some are unto honor, and some unto dishonor” (Timothy 2, 21)

When they say God and Jesus they refer to their god and their saviour.

It will take much patience and much oil for us to remain Faithful until the end.

Hold fast, Peace and Blessings be with you all in the name of Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.
loveme,
i appreciate almost all of your contributions.

but this idea you have that the Name of Jesus is evil; or the result of a conspiracy is just awful.

it really is. awful.

do you not know that your choice to write and pronounce "Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah" are transliterations?

and they are NOT Biblical.

i haven't wanted to say much about this to you, but your remark in red above is unacceptable.

Yahshua
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yahshua is an argued transliteration of the original Hebrew or Aramaic name of Jesus commonly used by individuals in the Sacred Name Movement.

The English spelling Yahshua originates at least as early as 1950 with Angelo Traina The New Testament of our Messiah and Saviour Yahshua. The form Yahshua is used in some Sacred Name Bibles, including the Restoration Original Sacred Name Bible, Word of Yahweh and the Sacred Name King James Bible.

Etymology and claimed Hebrew origins

Three spellings of "Joshua" found in the Masoretic text of the Hebrew Bible: (i) Yehoshua, (ii) Yehoshuua, (iii) Yeshua

The spelling Yahshua (יהשע) is not found in Hebrew texts. The Hebrew Bible uses Yehoshua (יהושע), and later Aramaic form Yeshua (ישוע), for Joshua, which means "Yah is Salvation." Christians, historians, and linguists outside the sacred name movement for the most part reject the term Yahshua (יהשע) in favor of Yeshua (ישוע) as the original pronunciation. Tal Ilan's Lexicon of Jewish Names in Late Antiquity (2002), notes Yehoshua (יהושע), and the later Aramaic form Yeshua among many names containing Yah derived from YHWH.[1]

An additional variant Yahshuah (Hebrew: יהשוה) is found in Christian Kabbalah or occult speculations.[citation needed] Like Yahshua this variant is not found in the Hebrew Bible. Another variant Yeshu occurs in polemical rabbinical texts, connected with Jesus in the Talmud and is the modern Israeli secular spelling of Jesus. The spelling is not applied to other Yeshuas and Yehoshuas.[2]

Sacred Name movement usage

The transcription of Hebrew-alphabet Yehoshua (יהושע) as Latin-alphabet "Yahshua" is first documented during the early days of the Sacred Name movement in the 1930s, perhaps developed by leaders such as Angelo B. Traina and C.O. Dodd.[3]

Those who follow Sacred Name teachings (such as the Assemblies of Yahweh) believe that it is an aid to salvation to use the correct pronunciation.[4]

U probably mean on apostasy from 7 Ecumenical Councils?Or from heretic Pope of Rome on Orthodox Church?
Which one of those 2?

You can argue all day and night about these issues,it just adds to the confusion, get away from your denominations they are preaching the lie mixed with some truth, a very lethal combination!

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord!

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Eze 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Jas 4:9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.

Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

What is all boils down to in the modern religious world today, is weather the masses will repent and yield to the word of God, I was under the great delusion for many years, thinking I was a godly man, but was in reality I was a child of wrath!
America has made a choice again, and as all know the choices we make will affect us in big and small ways, but the bottom line is heart purity, coming broken before the mercy of God!
This is a personal decision one must make, apart from their pastor, friends, family, and ministry that tells them they can actually be unrighteous and inherit the kingdom of God.
So the answer to why the condition of America and the churches are in today goes back to the early church teachings BEFORE the so called reformers got their hands on it, adding in many pagan and humanistic teachings, that have not been disputed for hundreds of years.
Layers upon layers of errors, and heaps and heaps of false teachers promoting this liberal gospel promising the lost masses they do not have to humble themselves, turn from their wicked ways, and weep and mourn in great brokenness before an all Holy God, that is just asking ALL mankind everywhere to do this:
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Yes repentance, not admittance, or sorry you got caught, but real repentance(WHERE THE SIN STOPS) followed by an obedient faith, that can only come from the heart made pure by obeying the word of God, yielding to it, as His spirit convicts you and the lost world of sin, righteousness, and judgment!
Coming to a saving faith through all the lies and deceit, is a miracle in itself, but it’s just a simple message that Christ, the apostles, profits of old, held fast to, not to be changed or softened in any way.
It seems God is waiting patiently asking the world to repent, and prove this repentance is real and from the heart, which has been made pure, ready to now receive His power and strength that comes from His implanted word into a cleansed and purged heart and conscience ready to obey and serve God in all areas of their life!
Rom 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, and the forbearance and long-suffering, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
It’s His kindness that leads to repentance, not Him condoning sin and disobedience. Now is the time for salvation, to get right with God, coming to Him on His terms, not yours or another’s concocted plan that is not in line with scripture!

The post was referring to Walter Veith. I appreciate the SDA for what it is. I was born in the same location where the SDA was founded by William Miller at its root. It may have been by SDA neighbors encouragement to Bible study as a teen that I was later born again. I posted my views on Mr. Veith above noting that the SDA is no slouch when it comes to Bible Prophecy, including the end of Protestantism and the warnings about freemasonry and the occult. I approve of the SDA and Mr. Veith's stance on the environment and health and the above issues.

It seems to me, that like the Jehovah Witnesses that the SDA focus is on the old testament law and the new testament prophecy, conveniently (sometimes) skirting past the gospel message of Jesus and the Apostles in the New Testament system of The WAY. Seventh Day Baptists transitioning to Seventh Day Adventists still seem to carry along a little too much judaic old testament mindset. I do appreciate the 'gnostic' (as it were, just a term) gospel that the SDA preaches and have learned from it. The call however is to the Gospel message and the precepts and lifestyle of The WAY -- that keep us from the awful wrath that much prophetic scripture has to share. The SDA brethren have much to share and it is appreciated, but there are doctrinal issues to be addressed, and that beyond which day one worships. GBU for sharing ...

"The way" is clear Looking at the Old T or the New T

Luk_4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Pro_30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Pro_14:15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.

Deu_8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.

Just live by faith Old T & New T

Habakkuk_2:4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Rom_1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Gal_3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
Heb_10:38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

The law is good both Old T & New T

Pro_4:2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law.

Rom_7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

1Ti 1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

Its not that we use the Old Testament more we just use the whole bible.

Its when people only want to read the New Testament that makes me wonder less of curs its a babe in Christ and not yet read the whole word.
Heb 5:10-14
10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.
11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. Heb 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

See the writer of Hebrews had a issue with people not knowing their Old Testament "oracles of God"

1Co 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1Co 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1Co 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
1Co 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
