There were false teachers called Judaizers in the early church. Judaizers were Jews who believed in Jesus as the Christ. However, they refused to accept the truth that the New Testament had replaced the Old as the law and guide for God’s people. They taught that Gentiles must be circumcised and keep the Law of Moses in order to be saved. When Judaizers came to Antioch, Paul and Barnabas stood against their false teaching. Since these false teachers had come from Jerusalem, and also claimed the church in Jerusalem believed as they did, Paul and Barnabas went to Jerusalem to discuss the matter. They met with the inspired apostles and elders who agreed with them that Gentiles were justified by faith without keeping the Law of Moses. These inspired men wrote a letter to the churches stating this (Acts 15).

The new did not replace the old that's preposterous. The Covenants of old where renewed. Look at it friends. Those who where from the circumcision faction where trying to make deciples of the new believers to the Jewish religion. Messiah abolished the dogmatic teaching of the religious authority and enmity sin was able to create through Torah. This is why Shaul said there are two Laws. The law of sin and death which is what sin uses to bring all flesh to death and the law of freedom and life which if a person walks in its way shall find life. There are two sides of the same scroll. One side is blessing and life and the other is curses and death. When everyone even secular society has at least hinted that we now live in the end days, how can we not examine out faith to make sure we come to the full knowledge of the truth. Judaizers would be any faith that promote its own doctrine over the true religion of Torah and scripture.

You still hold your lives in your hands, lose it for Messiah and you find it.

For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment
of God rather than burnt offerings.

"But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.'
For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of .... If only you had known the meaning of 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you ...

Jesus said do not misunderstand, I come not to abolish the law of the old but to fulfill it. He said eat this and drink this at Passover. And he said keep the law with your whole heart. And he obeyed the law.

I have no idea what is turkey day or evergreen tree day. I am from Europe.

So that means it is a local cultural thing, nothing more. Nothing related to Christianity as such.

Because we are neither Jews nor following Judaism.
John's Epistle made it clear. If you truly are a follower of Messiah you are a Jew. What if I said Christmas, Easter, Birthday, etc...

Passover was held long before Jesus walked the earth in His flesh, He just kept and explained the Jewish customs without the false doctrines from the Pharisees.

We will all be judged with the same standards but we are not all Jews. The Bible is clear about the three groups, there are the Jews (born from the tribe of Judah and Benjamin), Israel (the rest of us) and the dogs (those out of covenant).

Do you say to a shop assistant that she is a dog, when you buy something from unbelievers? Or are you so sharp only on forums and in the real life nice to everybody?
