Vote on Obsession with confession(1st John 1:9,sin confession)

I really like the "Major"....imagine the persecution he must of endured from the hands of the "brethren" for the simple reason of believing in Christ's finished work alone and not living from our self-righteousness/holiness......the way of the flesh.....oh well..we walk in love and rejoice to see the day of their freedom in Christ!

No, the ones who say 1 John 1:9 is meant only for unbelievers have to prove that claim.

If you are "in Christ", which believers are, you don't commit sin.

You won't find that in the Bible. It is a false teaching to mislead Christians.

Confessing our sin nature at the time of salvation is enough to establish the relationship.

Confessing sins that we tend to stumble into repeatedly to a trusted brother or accountability group is of great help in overcoming persistent sin.
