'Fruit!' ...John 15v1-17, Gal 5v5v22,23 and so forth...
Would that be our own fruit by what do we do or not do?
or his Fruit of Love best found in 1 cor. 13 working through you nad all others that have chosen to trust God and put no confidence in the flesh
Philippians 3:3For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh,

yes Jinx that is correct so is it our works that god is looking for? Or his works through us where God gets all the credit, therefore being no room for boasting except in the cross
Just curious which way you see this thanks for I percieve God has recieved you in Him
FAITH without works is dead. You have to believe before anything else ;) once you believe and obey the gospel, then HE wants our worship which is seen through the fruit of the SPIRIT working in our lives. HE doesn't want just one thing..... HE wants it ALL.

Would that be our own fruit...
or his Fruit...
Incase you don't know, you will find the answer in the (extended) Scriptural passages I gave: John 15v5, '"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing,' and Gal 5v16, '...Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.'

When we yield our flesh before God, isn't it always his fruit? The Spirit working through us?
This is what makes it fruit of the spirit, and not works. Our only job is to agree with the truth that has been born within us. :)

It takes a radical revelation of the Gospel of grace to abandon faith in the works of the Law. God's standard of righteousness is the righteousness of God alone.

In stark contrast to the works of the Law, there is the "work of faith". These may be the same actions that others do as works of the Law, but the motivation is different. Works of faith are the fruit of relationship with God whereas works of the Law are done to try to obtain relationship with God .

By resting in His goodness; good fruit has to pour out.

What God is looking for can be summed up in four things,to know Him,to love Him,to trust Him and obey Him. They are tied together.

and I often wonder why doesn't anyone wanna know him? Because to know him is to love him, to love him is to trust him and to trust him is to obey him! I look at myself as an example. I use to say yeah I wanted to know God, and even put forth some effort but as I sit back and God and I reflect on my life, he shows me very clearly how little I actually cared, I went to school and studied so hard about this subject and that subject being careful to memorize this and that, I learned all of my favorite rappers song, I could quote it, I studied to remember so much of these worldly things but when it came down to God I could barely give him 10 15 mins out of my day to get to know him, and I thought wow Father God forgive me lol because its like a relationship, and thats what it is, and every relationship is build on what? Trust, but in order to trust someone you have to know them, and once you know them you will fall in love, then you will be more willing to obey because you know this person, you trust them and you love them :D I thank God for this because this is something he has just revealed to me not to long ago and has really strengthened my walk with him :) so Gloryb2God

OP: God already knows what is in us. He put it there!! What He is wanting is for us to use it to the good of the Kingdom. What He is wanting is for us to choose to keep out anything that He did not put there....stuff from the kingdom of darkness. But it is our choice.

We should work for the Lord with all of our strength, which includes the body. Look at the apostle Paul. He bore in his body the testimony of labor for the Lord. There is a big difference in "the works of the flesh" and working physically for the Lord. The sin in the flesh is not the same as the strength of the body to labor. We need boots on the ground; that is our purpose. God could use angels or signs but He uses us.

JESUS says; 'Those who obey GOD, [HIS every Word (Teachings) from CHRIST] and do HIS will.' 'GOD is not looking for sacrifice but mercy.' 'Those who want to obey HIM more than to eat and drink are blessed.' 'Those who hear these teachings of mine and do them are like a wise builder and the ones who hear and not do them are like a foolish builder.'
'For the wind, storm and flood will come and beat against any builder's house to test it's foundation whether it is of loyal and faithful obedience to HIS Word or just lukewarm.' 'Every foundation will be tested with fire. So that to know what kind of materials have been used to build on this foundation?'

Yes, Sister and how can one do that? Could it be by seeing first how much God loves us, how much we have been forgiven? I personally think we are to be responders to God's love and forgiveness that God has provided to us all, rather than be initiators that we have all been taught to be from birth on.
I personally see God as the initiator (creator) and all people as the creation, and I have tried for too long to create when all I ever needed to do was respond to God thanking God for Christ and thanking Christ for goinig all the way to the death for me and the whole world, then rose from that death to give each of us that believe new life in the Spirit of God restored to be whole by God by the resurrection of Christ WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and therefore I finished my works and enetered into rest his rest, because I finally beleived it is done as Christ said it is John 19:30 for me, for , you and you. yet the power is in the resurrction not the death, death was needed to clear the deck the disease that caused death and Christ did this once for all so by belief and seekiing God we can be anew in Christ by God in the resurrection, because without the resurrection we would bre still in our sins as 1 Cor 15 is so clear on first the death then the resurrection, both are needed for new life to be

please see and remember it is no longer I
1 Corinthians 15:10But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me
And the above is to us all it is no longer I, or you oryou or anyone that believes, but the grace of God
