How will God destroy what has already been saved. All sin is equal and deserving of death. If that's the case we all need a savior. Once saved your body is suppose to be undefiled. Repentance is a beautiful thing. But continue in this willingly defiling of the home that the Holy Spirit has taken refuge in, and you will one day reap what you sow big time.

Short story,
There was a man who once walked the earth, He loved people, He loved to talk with them and teach them things that were out of this world, and there was another group of people that hated him. They tryed to catch him in some things He taught. And then one day these people decided to kill him because they didn't like what He was doing. They beat Him, kicked Him, tore the skin off His back, then nailed him to a post. Amazing thing happened on that post. After all He had been through the beatings the flogging the nailing of nails through His skin. You know what He said, He said Father please forgive them for they know not what they do.
Now this was a mighty thing to say considering all that happen to Him, do you think you have the ability within you to muster up something similar it doesn't take that much just a small mustard seed worth is enough.

I believe the responders in this thread should reconsider how you reply to this OP because he is not referring to all believers that sin just any sin, but live in sin. The poster of the OP is rebuking those that refuse to repent from lusting.
I must admit, I had too, thought he was coming down on all believers that sin as if they should never be able to sin again when it is really about believers living in sin.
Granted, one can lose sight of that as we read on, and even some of the replies, imply that the OP was condemning any one that sins at all as if his message was about a believer can never sin.
To address why we would think the OP shifted from an unrepentant believer to a believer that can never sin...
I believe the OP was meaning to address believers practicing sin with no repentance, otherwise why pull any out of the fire if sinning makes them not a christian?
Plus.. I have not read anything in the OP that would be condemning all believers that sin, but those that refuse to repent and continue living in them.
Not sure why everybody responded as if he was condemning all believers that sin but I think he sees you as defending believers living in sin, and before we start biting and devouring one another; both the OP and the responder needs to clarify their position, but still avoid name calling.

Great verse - when you look at the Greek for that verse - it plainly says that "ye" is plural which means the whole church at Corinth is the temple of God ( temple Greek - singular )
There is only one true temple of God and it is the whole church and individually we are a part of the body of Christ.
2 Corinthians 6:16 (NASB)
[SUP]16 [/SUP] Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I WILL DWELL IN THEM AND WALK AMONG THEM; AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE.
Individually - we are "living stones" in this temple of God. Jesus Himself is the foundation or corner stone.
1 Peter 2:4-5 (NASB)

It is a terrible thing to tear down ruthlessly a church or temple of God like an earthquake that shatters a building in ruins. This old verb πτειρω — phtheirō means to corrupt, to deprave, to destroy. It is a gross sin to be a church-wrecker. There are actually a few preachers who leave behind them ruin like a tornado in their path.

Does he mean punishment here or hereafter? May it not be both? Certainly he does not mean annihilation of the man‘s soul, though it may well include eternal punishment. There is warning enough here to make every pastor pause before he tears a church to pieces in order to vindicate himself. Holy (αγιος — hagios). Hence deserves reverential treatment. It is not the building or house of which Paul speaks as “the sanctuary of God” (τον ναον του τεου — ton naon tou theou), but the spiritual organization or organism of God‘s people in whom God dwells, “which temple ye are” (οιτινες εστε υμεις — hoitines este humeis). The qualitative relative pronoun οιτινες — hoitines is plural to agree with υμεις — humeis (ye) and refers to the holy temple just mentioned. The Corinthians themselves in their angry disputes had forgotten their holy heritage and calling, though this failing was no excuse for the ringleaders who had led them on.
