Sometimes we forget our Lord and Master is right hear with us in this boat called the present age.

The storms rise and rage about us, and the winds likewise, causing us to feel all is lost, and there is no help.

Jesus is also in this boat with us, but when we forget this simple reality of belief we oft times feel all is lost; it is not.

Call upon Jesus Christ and He will rebuke the sea, the storms and the winds. Never despair for He has told us all beforehand, and though at times what He warned us of seems to be too much to bear, He is with us. Just call upon Him.

Do not be of little faith, for in His Name we can do all necessary to overcome all.

Remember, He was already here to save us, He is here in the hearts of all who believe, and He surely will return for us soon. Keep the faith, and increase the faith by asking for more.

I pray this post be understood within where it will strengthen our resolve in Christ, amen.

If anyone will, please offer your understanding of other parts of the story of Jesus in the boat sleeping at the bow. It says a lot, and dI know many have understanding of it to share. God bless all in Christ.

He was not afraid.

while the disciples worried for their lives, He slept on a cushion.

they woke Him, scared and indignant, thinking He did not care while they drowned --
-- but He rebuked first them, and then the storm & sea.

You of little faith, why are you so afraid?

both were quieted. we're not told, but i imagine He went back to His rest.

Amen. This story teaches so much. This may be said to the many today who believe that the family is no more, only these have not learned that in the latter times those who believe, the holy people will be scattered, helped with little help. We know this to be true, so why fear. Wake the Master if He is resting and ask Him for His guidance always. You will not find guidance of this type anywhere but from Him or another of His servants given to do this task.. God bless all in Jesus Christ and if your faith seems small, ask for more. I aask all to pray for my faith in the same mmanner.

Jesus said "let us go to the other side".....and then He went to sleep. He was "resting" in what His Father said to Him. He did nothing but what the Father was doing through Him. He said it is my Father that does the works. I can do nothing of Myself. He fully trusted in what the Father was telling Him.

I take from the story we too will "rest" in the word that we get from the Lord when we learn to trust in what He tells us no matter if the circumstances can sometimes be screaming at us the very opposite of what He said.

I just want to thank you for sharing this, God bless you. My sea of life is getting a bit choppy and stormy and when viewed with my own eyes quite frightening. You have enabled me to re-focus on the approaching storm with spiritual eyes, now I have to keep mine shut and cling on in faith.
As with Daniel's companions when faced with the furnace, 'If God will, he will save us. If not we will die but it doesn't change the fact that Jesus is. Amen

I would say it is a coincidence, but you and I know better. My meditation of late has been on Daniel , Shadrach, Meshach and Abedneggo, just about what you have posted here is going through my own mind. Something else that comes to mind is a line from the song, "Yes Jesus loves me," which is, "we are weak but He is strong,"amen...thank you brother.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls. (1 Pet 1:3-9)

i sometimes wonder if Peter had those young men (Daniel's companions) in mind when he wrote these verses.

we need a living hope!
and, thank God, we have a Living Hope :)

There is nothing but God-insodence for the household of faith. Praise Him!

Neither is the Lord's timing is our timing...

John 11:6,20,39 KJVS
[6] When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.

[20] Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house.

[39] Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

In direct reference to the OP, I believe it is Jeff and Shari Hester who sing the words, "You are not alone, wo why should you be lonely?" They could just as well sing, you are not alone, wo why should you be afraid.

Jesus Christ has not left us alone, and never will. Nothing can separate us from Him, from His Love, amen.

i heard a pastor say that the words Christ Jesus spoke to His disciples more than any others were 'don't be afraid'.

how well He knows the human heart (i mean... He had one, though His was perfect) and how much we need that command / encouragement.
