I am sure their hair follicles were perfectly healthy, but why would God give them hair? How long was their hair? Was their hair the same length?

Did Adam have a beard? If he had hair then why would God create him with a close shaved beard? Did they have hair on the rest of their bodies? How hairy were their bodies?
That's like when a guy tried to sell me a car one time. He said that he used the battery just to bring it to me, but that he's taking the battery because it's his. And that the tires are His too. I said those are parts of the car- either you sell me the whole car or I'm not buying it, because I did not agree to buy auto parts, I agreed to buy a car.

When God created Adam and Eve they were complete with hair and organs and nails and all their body parts were included. As for what age He created them at is unknown. They could have been like 12 year olds, and he grew a beard later. We don't know. We can read about them in one day, but all that they did, did not happen all in one day.

1Tim 1: 3As I urged you upon my departure for Macedonia, remain on at Ephesus so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines, 4nor to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which give rise to mere speculation rather than furthering the administration of God which is by faith. 5But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6For some men, straying from these things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, 7wanting to be teachers of the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.

Selah.
You mean there are still folks hanging out in Ephesus after all these years, talking about endless genealogies and wanting to teach things of the Law.

After they had been alive for a few months, how did they cut their hair? They didn't have any scissors. They probably didn't even have a dull knife. Cutting their hair with a rock sounds kind of painful.
When the Israelites wondered for forty years in the desert, God prevented their clothes from wearing out. He could have prevented Adam and Eve's hair from growing past a certain length. If I shave my legs or my eyebrows, it grows back, but only to a certain length, then it stops.

Uhh... Interesting thread :D

Im not sure we can know all this. Hang on to Jesus and once you are in glory, ask Him
Yeah, I'm hanging on to the "Alpha and Omega" question! No start? No end? Hmmmm. As far as the hair thing goes, I believe they laughed about the same question with God thinking about how we today, talking about this, would be so baffled . In fact, Adam laughed so hard he slit a rib over it. Ok, wait what? No, that's not biblical at all....But that's my point here. Some things just are for us to ponder. It is an interesting concept though, but then again, I'm CrAzY!

SO which one was closest to Adam?

Since God created them without clothes, maybe they were very hairy.
Well, there's a thought - "What if God had created us with clothes? That would solve the style of the day predicament. But would pose many other questions of concern as well... It would make a whole new line for our wedding vows wouldn't it? These things could go in the "Things that make ya go Hmmmm," Group inclusions. Smile.

Interesting there are babies born today without a belly button, the umbilical cord is attached internally not externally.

Don't it have to come out somewhere?

Hair is used two ways in the scriptures. One to represent a hidden glory (using an woman to represent the whole church as His bride(male and female as a new creation), another shame (a man).or a unbeliever male or female

No one knows what kind of appearance Adam and Eve had before the fall, possibly celestial flesh. We do know when he clothed them in corrupted flesh (terrestrial) as he did with the rest of creation that moans in a hope of being clothed with the eternal.

n 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them

Some say he slew a Lamb.

They saw their nakedness when they lost the representative glory of God. Sort of like when Moses covered his face with a Vail .Some believe they had a glow that hid the body parts as children of light .Losing it represented death. I lean that way today

My first thought was they looked like a baby in pink with a WWII helmet and a shocked look on their face. (See your avatar for reference. lol)

Second reaction is... ohhh, you want to know why hair? And why no clothes?

I think (theory, not fact) Eden had to be the perfect temperature for fruitful plants, so it was about what we'd call "room temperature." Some folks think there was a moist mantle over the earth before the flood -- always producing dew, but never rain, making the whole earth a greenhouse. Not sure I'm convinced this is true, but I like that theory. And if it is true, they had no need for clothes.

BUT it does get a little colder at night, and they were put to work immediately (animal namers and earth subduers), so they did work. 80% of our heat comes off our heads. Hair keeps us warm at night. It insulates. And sweat helps us cool off. Hair takes the sweat and makes it cooler, so it cools us when we're working in warm conditions.

No idea how Adam shaved though, or if he shaved.
