The...Most atrocious act known to mankind...A Man is given a bogus trial. The Law demanded two or three witnesses to execute a man. Yet when no two testimonies agreed, they still killed Him. And God was in control.
God isn't all controlling but does control within his self-limitations to the allowance of free will. Just as God limited himself to become an infant, walk with mankind and died a real death for all. His plan still unfolds by his will and use of creation the good and the bad.
[h=1]Deuteronomy 30:19New International Version (NIV)[/h][FONT=&quot]19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live[/FONT]
[h=1]Hebrews 2:9New International Version (NIV)[/h][FONT=&quot]9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.[/FONT]
[h=1]John 1New International Version (NIV)[/h][h=3]The Word Became Flesh[/h][FONT=&quot]1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.[/FONT]

No it displays a complete misunderstanding of Reformed theology or a Lien about what Reformed theology says .

No, brother it does not. I do not doubt the salvation of those who espouse this exclusionary doctrine.

However I will not see Jesus sacrifice denigrated by those who do not give it respect.

See, this is what I mean. The above quote isn't true, it is in fact completely false.

Sure, the person thinks she knows what she said to be true, but there is a huge lack of understanding on her part. This leads to both false conclusions and false accusations.

FTR, and for those who don't wish to misrepresent others as I have been in the above, I don't disagree with free grace whatsoever.

So the statement above is untrue and is an absurd false accusation, totally unfounded and done in ignorance.

What I do disagree with is Free Grace Theology. There is a huge difference between free grace and Free Grace Theology.

Someone needs to know the difference and this is where the huge mistake comes in with the false accusation above. The person thinks she knows what she is talking about in her accusation, but she absolutely does not. Learn the difference between free grace and Free Grace Theology prior to making inane accusations oblivious of the truth.

But I digress. This is why I say some are benighted, aren't comprehending what is said, and then make untrue knee jerk statements about others, pounding on their keyboards, ignorant of phrases, theological systems and others true positions.

You misspoke, you slandered, you do not know what you're even talking about.

The above quotation is yet just one more example of this happening. The OP makes the same errors - misrepresenting others and taking them out of context. You really shouldn't be making these accusations because you're assuming and doing so in ignorance of the facts.

Thanks.

Ah yes,you must be a theologian to understand Calvinism. Any point made will get the answer "thats not what we believe". Im done with this foolishness. This is about free grace, not Calvinism. Take part or please take your leave.

Uh huh. Romans 9:20 in the above. Let's throw in Romans 1:25 as well.

God must bow to man's sacred cow...his mythical free will.

Wrong, at the cost of His Beloved Son, God is able to offer grace freely.

In His mercy and loving kindness He extends it to all who acknowledge their need of a Savior.

Not robots but whosoever will.

Suppose a man were born in a prison cell and never told that he was in a cell. He was simply unaware of any thing outside the walls of his world.

We would all agree that the man is born in bondage and incapable of even recognizing his position. But, suppose someone came into his cell and told him of the world outside the walls. Is the fact that he was born in bondage prove that he is incapable of hearing the messenger and believing his message?

Of course not. You can acknowledge the bondage of the man from birth without assuming he is also born incapable of believing the testimony of the messengers sent for the purpose of helping him to be set free.

Belief that a man is born in a prison cell is distinct from the belief that the man is incapable of acknowledging that he is in a prison cell and accepting help to escape when it is clearly offered.

Calvinists have pointed to passages that prove mankind is born in the cell while assuming mankind is incapable of humbly admitting they are in a cell and trusting in Christ to set them free.

No passage in all of scripture ever suggests that fallen men are incapable of willingly responding to God’s own appeal to be reconciled from their fallen condition.

Romans 9 is speaking of Israel,Gods chosen people.
Hyper-dispensationialism at its finest. Just who is the Israel of the bible? Apostle Paul states it thusly, [SUP] [/SUP]A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.[Romans 2:228,29] So the true Jews, the true Israelites, have had their hearts, and not foreskins, circumcised by the Spirit of God.

[Now, let's go to the beginning. God calls Abram our of the land of Ur of the Chaldeans. He then changes his name to Abraham, and told him he'd be the father of many nations, so this shows that not just Israel was going to be involved in those He called. We can read Is this blessedness only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised?[Here we see both Jews and Gentiles included as the circumcision always referred to the Jews and the uncircumcision always referred to the Gentiles We have been saying that Abraham’s faith was credited to him as righteousness.[SUP] [/SUP]Under what circumstances was it credited? Was it after he was circumcised, or before? It was not after, but before! And he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them. And he is then also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised but who also follow in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.[Romans 4:9-12]

So, the true Israel of the bible are all the faithful of all time and not the nation Israel in the middle east.

Ya know, my Bible did not come with a Book of Calvin...

mythical free will.
Those that don't know much about what God says in His Word have no idea that God created man in His Image... which is how man got free will.

Maybe you were not created in God's Image?

Yeah, and so the rest of us were...

Do you believe this statement from John?

9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

What about these from Jesus?

35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me. 39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. 40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

41 So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” 42 They said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” 43 Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me— 46 not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father. 47 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

Follow this thought to its logical conclusion. If the nation of Israel is God's chosen ppl, you and I are goners, seeing we are not part of that nation whatsoever.

It's mind blowing that anybody would make the statement you just made!

I've reported some of his too. Seems the mods just let 'em slide. I wouldn't mind if he had respect enough to address the text or full comments instead of reading the first sentence and responding with insults. It's obvious he won't even read a full post, so if it's more than one short sentence, he won't read it. He just likes to hear himself talk basically.

God can do anything within the boundaries of his Holy nature and character....He allows men to choose their path, actions and deeds and then rewards them accordingly......He kills and makes alive....to me the best book to show God's right and ability to do as he wishes in Habakkuk...

Habakkuk cries unto the Lord about all the bad things happening in Jewish society...God tells Habakkuk that he will raise up the Babylonians and use them to punish the wicked withing Habakkuk's society....Habakkuk then cries unto God about using a more wicked nation to judge the southern kingdom of Judah...God basically tells him to shut up, because God will then turn around and judge the Babylonians because of the way they bring the justice that God wants them to bring against Judah.....NOW that is God......

When you mess with ppl's 'free will', they go hog wild and pig crazy.

Man is enslaved to and by sin.[Matthew 6:24, Romans 6:6 & 6:16] That's why Jesus said no one can come to Him unless...
