Read your commentaries. That's exactly what Paul is talking about!
How can your renewed spirit that is made perfect at conversion and just as if it had never sinned ever die again?

How many times must we crucify the old man with Jesus Christ?....He did it once, so why are you telling people we must do it more than even Jesus Christ?

Paul said I die daily!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is so important, our looking to the Cross; that we must renew our Faith in what Christ has done for us, even on a daily basis, for Satan will ever try to move us away from the Cross as the Object of our Faith, which always spells disaster. Christ can be followed only by the Believer looking to the Cross, understanding what it accomplished, and by that means alone [Rom. 6:3-5, 11, 14; 8:1-2, 11; 1Cor. 1:17-18, 21, 23; 2:2; Gal. 6:14; Eph. 2:13-18; Col. 2:14-15].

Ps. If you are reading and getting your doctrine from the purpose driven life, destroy it!

I agree with this message 100%. The church has been tricked into looking at the natural realm to see what is true. Christ in us is what is true and all that He has already done for us.

The church has been religiously taught to be sin-conscious when we should be Son-conscious. Beholding the glory of Christ and His work allows the Holy Spirit to transform us outwardly to reflect who we truly are in Christ now in our new creation. 2 Cor. 3:17-18

It is not in the "beholding of sin" but of Christ Himself and what His work has done in the believer that brings real transformation to us.
It is not in the "beholding of sin" but of Christ Himself and what His work has done in the believer that brings real transformation to us.
Satan believes. Is he transformed?

I am already seeing a pattern here with you.

We have 5 verses in the bible that say "believe" and we have 20 that say "FOLLOW ME"

you are reading and getting your doctrine from a known liar, fornicator, and boastful vain hypocrite....who refused to submit to restoration for fear of losing his MONEY and you are perverting the truth....just has he does...

Rick Warren has nothing of interest that I would read...

PS: most of the verses you are throwing out , actually confirm what I say and not what you are preaching...

Paul said that he died daily and was in context to the threats on his life because he was preaching the gospel - like when he was at Ephesus. Not dying to self. That's a religious tradition not backed up by scripture. Let's look at this " I die daily" in context.

1 Corinthians 15:30-32 (NASB)
[SUP]30 [/SUP] Why are we also in danger every hour?

[SUP]31 [/SUP] I affirm, brethren, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

[SUP]32 [/SUP] If from human motives I fought with wild beasts at Ephesus, what does it profit me? If the dead are not raised, LET US EAT AND DRINK, FOR TOMORROW WE DIE.

Why should he care about context, all he does is cut and paste things from jsm.org

Well...you are completely wrong about there only being 5 verses that say to believe. And following Christ is believing in Him and in His finished work so they do go together..

satan doesn't have saving faith in Christ's work. Christ didn't die for him - He died for me and you too! Isn't that exciting to know and live in the truth of His love and grace for us?

Where you ever on here in CC with another name before?

Galatians 2:20 (KJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Colossians 3:3 (NASB)
[SUP]3 [/SUP] For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Romans 6:5-8 (NASB)
[SUP]5 [/SUP] For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection,

[SUP]6[/SUP] knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;

[SUP]7 [/SUP] for he who has died is freed from sin.

[SUP]8 [/SUP] Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,

If I am wrong ;prove it! Show me more than 5. Dont put forth an assertion unless you are going to back it up with proof.
Fans believe. Followers do more than believe. They die to self.

Mzdeplorable has not ever been on this site before. Im not surprised that you come across others that fight your hyper grace rhetoric though. Good for them!!

I would appreciate it if you would not use the bible study card to justify you wanting to debate about once saved always saved, it's not hard to see that you really want to argue and debate about that subject and it's not hard to see that you have no intention of actually learning from the debate as I have seen your posts and have seen your manner of thinking.

Your username is messageofthecross but from what I have seen you don't understand the message of the cross this thread was made with pure intent and and an amazing message and it is not yours to trample or take over if you wish to debate and argue then kindly take it to a thread that either is all about that or is your own because this is heavenlybounds thread. I would more than happy to explain to you about the osas things but not here in a thread that is not ours to take over

Ill help you with some cross referencing. You really are looking foolishly unstudied.Dont respond to me until you have fully studied like a berean

[h=3]Mark 8:35-36[/h] For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?

[h=3]2 Timothy 4:6-8[/h] For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

[h=3]Philippians 1:20-21[/h] as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

I also want to make note that I am not only speaking to messageofthecross this thread is not a thread to wage war in yet another endless debate so if everyone wants to continue t lash out at each other and continue to go through the endless war of this debate I would recommend going to the appropriate thread to do so

So, you had never been on CC before in "any name" not just "Mzdeplorable"?

I will give you some verse about believing and prove there are more than 5. I will look them up in a few minutes.
