I don't know if there is a thread about this but I wanted to look through scriptures about the main lessons Jesus taught us.

If you want to join and comment, I would be delighted with the company.

I think I'll start in Matthew and highlight key lessons that jump out to me. :)

Matthew 3 Jesus taught us to be baptized

Matthew 4 Jesus taught us how to stand against Satan and his twisting of scripture with the correct usage of scriptures.
[h=3]Matthew 5[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]The Beatitudes[/h]5 And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. [SUP]2 [/SUP]Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:
[SUP]3 [/SUP]“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
For they shall be filled.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Blessed are the merciful,
For they shall obtain mercy.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Blessed are the pure in heart,
For they shall see God.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Blessed are the peacemakers,
For they shall be called sons of God.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
I've always wanted to look at this sermon in more detail........

It teaches us not to strive after material possession because our treasure should be stored in Heaven where moths and thieves can not destroy or steal it. It reminds us to cloth ourselves with good works rather than costly jewels.

He tells us to hunger and thirst for righteousness, to be meek, to not be afraid to mourn/cry, to be merciful, to be peacemakers, and to expect to be persecuted by the world that does not understand or honor God or righteousness.

Well, something very important, is the mass deception about to take place and engulf the people of the whole world , perpetrated by non other then Satan himself.

Christ taught this. And how we need, the gospel armor on and in place to stand against the fiery darts of Satan.

That consist of most of the Bible, that teaches about this in one form or anther. All of Revelation, Mark 13; Luke 21; Matthew 24. 1 Thessalonians chapter 4 ; 2 Thess. 2; . And the list gos on.

It's frustrating and sad to see what is happening and going to happen , and everyone is in a spiritual stupor. No one even seems to care or know even, that Isaiah 19 is taking place right now in Egypt. Soon after that comes, Revelation 12: 9... :(

No one is prepared, because the people have been mislead , and lead into a spiritual sleep with rapture and other teachings that do not take these facts to heart.

The only ones prepared for this time will be God's Elect. They have a job to do, as its written, but a few teach even what their job is, nor dose anyone care.

This is going to be so bad, you can liken it to killing on mass,. NOT of flesh and blood, but of the souls in a state of loosing their salvation as Paul made clear in 2 thess 2

Jesus teaches us to recognize our own depravity, and to forgive both others and ourselves (and GOD too when he whips our you-know-what); and to do things to our neighbors that benefit them. This will create joy and peace in the heart that is the witness that GOD is pleased.
