Like you are putting down the OP learning some deeper things of Scripture?

I sure hope that never happens in my life.
Deeper things? Is that your discernment? Have you been entangled in that movement? Have you attended their Shuls? Do you know their teachings?
I have and would not advise it. I have never put down the OP or anyone from learning so called deeper things so long as they are true.

Why would I attend someone's school? And why did you? And when did the OP declare this?

Yes, even at 70, I have learned that there really was a very good reason that God sent us teachers. It's a fool who thinks they already know it all......... OR that everything they were (or are) taught is all there is to "The Truth."
Yes just be careful of what teachers we listen to, because the Truth comes from God by His Holy Spirit to us when we ask.

The position of the teachers is to edify the body (believers) by sharing that Truth.

Here's the general gist of it:

Jesus said to follow my example. Yes he was loving and he did wonderful things but a lot of times we don't see that he kept the Jewish festivals. The Jewish festivals and Ten Commandments are called "a lasting ordinance". So basically they are really important. Also Passover is really important. There is more stuff but I am not equipped to explain that yet. I want to get more info on what it looks like to share the word and talk about Jesus first. :) So that's what I have so far.

Thoughts?
Why would I attend someone's school? And why did you? And when did the OP declare this?
I said Shul not school, shows how little you know of this movement. It is where their congregation meets, like we call church.

So you chose to attend these classes... why?
Like I said it is not school but a congregational worship assembly. Just like your Vinyard but it meets on Saturday.
It's been a few years. I went to enrich my understanding of the OT in relation to Jesus, but found out Moses was their man, Paul was downplayed and the Gospel became subordinate to the Levitical law. I did love the worship and community though.

So, do you feel that the OP lacks the ability to go to something like this (if, indeed, that is what she is doing) and decide for herself what value there might be in this?

You guys often seem to want to attach a "label" to something, and then tell people why they should not be doing what they are doing.

NEWS FLASH: They just might be every bit as able to decide for themselves as you are. And, also, just because you have decided it is not a good thing, doesn't mean that is true.

So there is no possible way I can reply to each individual comment but here is what I know, what I have seen: the stuff my friend told me and showed me is true. She showed me verses in the Bible that absolutly blew my mind. She pointed out things that should have been obvious but they weren't and it was amazing!

Ability has nothing to do with it, discernment would be closer.
Sometimes we just have to learn the hard way...I have.

WE PEOPLE perhaps care for our fellow believers to tell them the truth and give warnings we know. It's better than watching someone heading for a washed out bridge and give no warning.

Sure JF can decide for herself and having dialogued before with her on this forum I already figured she'd do her thing and go for it.

Do you have an example?
Well one example is in Exodus 12:24 it says "Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants."

And then read Hebrews 4:1-13.

There's a ton of other stuff but I am a little hesitant to share it because I'm not entirely too sure it will do much good. This is an online forum and people generally don't come here to have their hearts changed so I don't want to get too invested in this because that would be a waste of my time and energy. Normally I would totally blast you with verses but something is holding me back. So I would encourage you and anyone else reading this go and pray immediatly that God would reveal to you what He wants to with an open heart and then go read the Bible and see if anything has changed...if nothing has changed God will answer your prayer in time but be honest with it. So yeah.

Here's a bit about what happened with me...

I always wanted to get it "right". I always felt like a failure of a Christian and like I was missing something so I prayed and prayed and prayed and prayed that I could get it "right" because I desperatly wanted to be with God and love Him the way He wanted to be loved so in His time He sent me my friend, Bree and everything makes sense!

Honestly does anyone ever feel...weird when it comes to Christianity like there is something missing but you keep going because you are desperate for God? That's where I was at and then Bree comes along and that weird feeling went away and it just makes sense now! All of it does! And I have never been happier!

But please do not take my word for it, go search for truth on your own and if you ask God for it, He'll show you and it will be AMAZING!!! hehehehehehehe

When did you become a descendent of Moses?

Getting it right is getting close to Jesus and leaving as much of yourself behind as you are able.

Jesus filled the empty part of my heart and gives me joy and victory everyday. Blessings without end. Moses and the law cannot fill that void only make it more painful because I cannot keep the ordinances. No one can keep the ordinances because the temple has been destroyed.

No, no, no. I just mean the feasts, and the ten commandments and passover. It's not like following the law of moses.

Remember that Jesus heals on a Sabbath. My point is, a lifetime is not enough to even comprehend, let alone follow, all the laws God has given us. That's why Jesus came. Just developing that personal relationship with Jesus everyday takes supernatural strength (not ours). What I'm saying is, it's not bad to 'try' and learn all there is to learn about law. But let Jesus set our priorities straight, and that is (short version) love God, love others.

Amen. I think the most amazing thing I learned from the bible was that I'm saved by grace through faith in Jesus.

It's amazing how much this reminds me of my old self. You know that feeling of being a fail Christian? Not being enough, not knowing enough, things like "I should know better", or sometimes regretting what I've done and usually occupying my mind with how I should behave. You know what? I have to say, this is the law at one of its subtlest. After some hell on earth, I've come to realise that, it was never about what I could do, what I should've done what I (self)... It was never about me to begin with. And the reason why I felt condemnation was because, although my faith was in Christ, I was relying on my strength, on who I was, as a Christian, deep down. I know cause whenever people criticized me, it hurt. Even things they didn't mean offensively. It still hurt. It did because of my own flesh still there. I would very much like to share this when I'm not in the bus lol (typing is difficult) but you have a good start, continue to seek Him. You know you found freedom when you simply stop caring about anything that doesn't make you love Jesus more, and other people more. These are fruits of God's grace. Everything is rooted in Jesus. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Let's continue to cast our cares upon Him.
