GOD is good! But no man gets the credit. Not I but Christ. No one should care what any pastor says. As soon as they start talking or any for that matter all is lost.

Scripture is strangely silent in regards to pastors. Hardly any mention at all actually. Elders and deacons however....
I think there are some prophesies about "pastors" and how we are to receive the Word. I am reminded of one in particular.

Jer. 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

I don't think it is coincidence that in most of the world God's Word is readily available to anyone who wants to read and study for themselves. The "Availability" of the scriptures to more and more people is the reason for the reformation in the first place. If it wasn't for common man having direct access to God's Word we would all be Catholic.

It reminds me of the Tower of Babel story every time I think about it.

Good topic:)

Point taken. Will the LORD find faith when HE returns....

The Spirit even more so!

No wonder The mystery of iniquity all ready began it's work in the time of Paul. It has almost silenced the Spirit to the point where the Anointing which we can receive of him we don't to it's fullest; if at all. And we need a man to teach and the written Word on parchment and tables of stone: but if we receive the same anointing. IT teacheth us all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. So Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ (the Word; his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law) down from above: ) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ (the Word; his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law) again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word (Christ; his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law) is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; For Christ (the Word; his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law in our hearts and mouths and minds) is the end of the law (written with ink and tables of stone) for righteousness to every one that believeth. We are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ. Written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart. And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward: Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.

(1Jn 2:27; Rom 10:6-8, 4; 2Co 3:3-5)

begin to turn away from the 'old-man', turning on a day/by-day basis to eventually/completely over-come -
and then begin again another turning away from the claws and connections of this fallen world -
then on to the next challenge, becoming stronger and stronger and able to claim victory once again -
this should be a new and natural desire for Spiritual growth and will seal us into an even stronger,
on-going connection with our Holy Saviour...

something has gone terribly 'wrong' here on this 'site' -
I've just tried to send DC a private 'conversation' and have been 'blocked' at every turn,,,
not to mention several other things that seem to be abnormal for this 'Christian chat' as we
have come to know it,..

if this gets 'through', we will be amazed!!!

by the way, our 'tithe' is our heart-felt-grateful-prayers'...

if this is our X, we are sending our heart-felt' Love to our 'brethren'.,..
