"call on me when you are in trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor me." But to the wicked God says: "What right do you have to proclaim my laws or take my covenant on your lips, when you so hate to receive instruction and fling my words behind you? Psalm 50:15-17 (CJB)

BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOO IT IS NEVER SAID WHO SOEVER OBEY IT SAID WHO SOEVER BELIEVE SHALL BE SAVED 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.John 3:16 i know what your gonna say " but oh i believed " well then if you truly believe YOU should have A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE TESTIMONY OF HOW YOUR LIFE GOT CONVERTED IF YOU STILL THE SAME SOMETHING IS WRONG. NOTICE IT SAID WHOSOEVER( BLACK, CHINESE, WHITE, GREEN ETC) IT NEVER SAID WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN THE LAW OF MOSES SHALL BE SAVE.. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE
Let's address the first part of your post...

Mat 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

It only took one, but I have quoted two scriptures that disprove your first statement.

Now as far as personal testimony...

Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Mat 5:15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Notice that Christ does not say "hear' your great testimony, He says that men should see our good works. Now notice what that is connected to, what our good works are about...

Mat 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

And here...

Eph 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:

Paul is not talking about blathering some words here but rather how we walk, in other words, our works.

Eph 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Eph 5:10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

And what is the proof of our conversion?

Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

And the fruit of the Spirit is...

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

You have posted an unconnected scripture and again rambled on about some "testimony" whereas Christ and Paul and James speak of works, the things we do not the things we say...

Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

Hebrews 9:13-15
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
[SUP]14 [/SUP]How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

2 Corinthians 5:17-21
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
[SUP]19 [/SUP]To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

2 Corinthians 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Once we have come to Christ we are a new creature, old things are passed away. Especially shadowy things...

Its great to read about Gods people and Gods principles. Its even greater to be Gods people and live Gods principles. We only get to be Gods people and live Gods principles through Christ. No other way.

By Grace through Faith is the Christian way... are you just testing to see if there are any Christians here? lol

Yeah Grandpa, only the shadows are passed away

COL.2 [14] BLOTTING OUT THE HANDWRITING OF ORDINANCES that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;[15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.[16] Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:[17] WHICH ARE A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME; but the body is of Christ.

The handwriting of ORDINANCES {meat and drink offerings} has been blotted out. They were the shadow of things to come

HEBREWS 9 [1] Then verily THE FIRST COVENANT HAD ALSO ORDINANCES of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.... [9] Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;[10] WHICH STOOD ONLY IN MEATS AND DRINKS, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.[12] NEITHER BY THE BLOOD OF GOATS AND CALVES, BUT BY HIS OWN BLOOD he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

The first covenant had ORDINANCES which stood only in meat and drink offerings

EZEKIEL 46 [14] And thou shalt prepare a meat offering for it every morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of an hin of oil, to temper with the fine flour; a MEAT OFFERING continually by a perpetual ORDINANCE unto the LORD.

there ya go. Hebrews 9 was ofcourse correct

HEBREWS 10 [1] For THE LAW HAVING A SHADOW of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with THOSE SACRIFICES WHICH THEY OFFERED YEAR BY YEAR continually make the comers thereunto perfect.[2] For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.[3] But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.[4] For IT IS NOT POSSIBLE THAT THE BLOOD OF BULLS AND OF GOATS SHOULD TAKE AWAY SINS.

Hebrews 10 says it all. The shadow of the law was the offerings (the meat and drink offerings).

NUMBERS 19 [2] This is the ORDINANCE OF THE LAW which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:

Before Christ the red heifers lived their lives in fear and trembling, thinking they might be next offering. No worries no more.

JOHN 6 [55] For my flesh is MEAT indeed, and my blood is DRINK indeed.

So the bottom line is there is no need for the meat and drink offerings {the shadow}. However there is need to keep all His sabbaths {weekly and feastly}, new moons and feast days.

I guess you didn't get to see our Lord and Saviour Crucified and killed and resurrected the third day. Then you would have seen all being fulfilled.
The definition of the word fulfilled is not "get rid of". I fulfilled my decision to paint the picture of the lady and the flowers. I am not about to get rid of that oil painting. Christ fulfilled what, at the beginning of creation, God spoke of and I am not about to get rid of anything of Christ.

Is It Required A Christian is Obedient To the Law of Moses?

I voted no because,

This question was debated in Acts 15 when: ... some of the sect of the Pharisees who had believed stood up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them [gentiles] and to direct them to observe the Law of Moses.” (Acts 15:5 NASB)

After some deliberation James ruled, Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, [SUP]20 [/SUP]but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. [SUP]21 [/SUP]For Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.” (Acts 15:19-21 NASB)

It seems James' short answer is NO! However, he requests, please don't offend your Jewish brothern and stay away from sexual sins.

This ruling seems to been directed at the cultic and civil portions of the Mosaic Law and not the moral (last 6 of the ten commandments), For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Gal. 5:14. See also Mark 12:29-31; James 2:8)

The New Testament describes a new way of approaching God, but continues the theme of loving ones brother/sister.

Ok, let's get it straight. What's the real problem here ? The real problem is for centuries rebellious children twisted the real meaning of Jesus's Grace and changed Grace into permission to sin ! THAT is the real problem which greatly scandalizes the people all
Truth's scoffers call " legalists ", or " "fundamentalists ", and so on !

But the Lord knew about those rebellious children coming even before the Universe was created :

" Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.
4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. "

Judas ( not the Iscariot ) 1: 3-4 ( KJV )

Well, you no longer need to see it as a future's prophecy;
it's happening right now !

And when you earnestly contend for the faith because rebellious children are changing the grace of our God into lasciviousness, you are falsely accused of calling people to seek salvation through the unfulfilled first covenant and not through the first covenant's fulfillment by Jesus's faith and works !

And rebellious children built together a new babel's tower of very crafted rebellious doctrines to bypass their Christian duty to obey the Lord's Word !

All of the teachings of Jesus were of the Old Testament before His death.
I'm not sure where you're going with this. Some use this argument to circumvent the teachings of Jesus, reasoning He taught under the OT and the Law and in the NT believers are under grace.

However, Jesus was the much anticipated Messiah and as such defined the OT through His preaching.

[SUP]15 [/SUP]“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” (Mark 1:15 NIV)
Notice the juxtaposition of the "kingdom of God" and the "good news". See Luke 8:1.

The kingdom of God has already appeared,
[SUP]20 [/SUP]But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Luke 11:20 NIV)

It is in our midst,

[SUP]21 [/SUP]nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.” (Luke 17:21 NIV)

Here is the point. Jesus did not see His preaching as OT preaching.

[SUP]16[/SUP]“The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the good news of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing their way into it". (Luke 16:16)

OT teaching ended with John and Jesus' kingdom teaching interpreted the Scriptures in line with God's original intent. Something that was missed in the teaching of Jesus' contemporaries. The Law was never simply given to define behavior, but it was meant to define who the individual is.

These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. (Deuteronomy 6:6)

This aspect of Jesus' kingdom teaching can be seen in the Sermon on the Mount where He goes beyond behavior to the very core of the person. And Jesus' teaching is the foundation for what follows in the rest of the NT.

Your a funny kid, Wall. Thats why I like you.

But if that is the actual case then we are still under the condemnation of the Law, we are not under grace and pretty much the whole New Testament is a lie...

[SUP]8 [/SUP]All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.

No. Its more like a contract.

We are debtors to be perfect as the Law says but we can't fulfill it. A Saviour had to come and fulfill that debt for us so we wouldn't owe it anymore.

Now we are debt free. Well those of us who have received the Lord Jesus Christ and His Work are debt free. Everyone else is under the obligation of working off that debt.

There is only one payment that is enough to fulfill that debt. All of your work won't do it.

Thank you Jesus.

No scripture at all relates to us fulfilling law, doesn't make sense. The contract with Christ is a two way contract, we repent, Christ forgives. Then we are debt free. The Lord's Prayer is a daily prayer, not a one time only prayer.

I don't know your complete thought about one payment. If you mean that once we accept the cleansing and forgiveness that Christ offers we are free to go kill someone because the HS protects us from that, then I disagree with you. There are people who have been saved by the blood of Christ and who have then gone on to sin. Everything God says is truth, so if that happens then your idea that God is telling us that one time that Christ enters in we are protected without our involvement, it doesn't stand up. If that was so then every single person who accepted Christ would be perfect. I wouldn't need to go to Christ every day as I am finding I need to. I wouldn't even have knowledge of sin any more, and I do. God says I was born in sin. You can tell me I am perfect, love that, but frankly, I'm not. What you tell me is that you feel sure I don't understand God.

No one that I have ever read on cc has said that there is a man so holy that he can make it without Christ. You repeat that, as if it was something new. You say all your work won't do it, but in the same way, refusing to do any work won't do it, either.

Surely the meat and drink offerings were contrary to us. Have you not read the blood of animals does not take away sins. Its right there in the new testament.

And yes I know that Christians are Gods sheep. The ones who hear His voice

JOHN 10 [27] MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Also Gods sheep hear His “voice”.

DEUT. 27 [8] And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly. [9] And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the Lord thy God. [10] Thou shalt therefore OBEY THE VOICE of the Lord thy God, and DO HIS COMMANDMENTS and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

DEUT. 4 [12] And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard THE VOICE of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice. [13] And he declared unto you his covenant, which HE COMMANDED YOU TO PERFORM, EVEN TEN COMMANDMENTS; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.

Today...if you hear His voice

COL. 2 [16] Let no man therefore judge you in MEAT, or in DRINK, or in respect of an HOLYDAY, or of the NEW MOON, or of the SABBATH DAYS:

EZEKIEL 45 [17] And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and MEAT offerings, and DRINK offerings, in the FEASTS, and in the NEW MOONS, and in the SABBATHS, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.

So Grandpa. Two scriptures, same exact order. Meat, drink, feast days, new moons and Sabbath. Its obvious both scriptures are speaking of the same thing. Do ya think that Zeke was tellin Israel they could eat their piggies and throw away the 4th commandment. That would be funny

EPHES. 2 [11] Wherefore remember, that ye being IN TIME PAST GENTILES in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; [12] That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and STRANGERS FROM THE COVENANTS OF PROMISE, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] BUT NOW IN CHRIST JESUS ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. [14] For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

We were once strangers from Gods covenants of promise, having no hope. BUT NOW in Christ, should we take hold of those covenants, we have hope

ISAIAH 56 [6] Also the sons of THE STRANGER, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one THAT KEEPETH THE SABBATH from polluting it, and TAKETH HOLD OF MY COVENANT; [7] EVEN THEM WILL I BRING TO MY HOLY MOUNTAIN, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for ALL PEOPLE.

Even them (us gentile strangers mentioned in Ephes.2) will He bring to His holy mountain, if we should take hold of His sabbath covenant. Jesus will bring us to the 1000yr period of rest
More scriptural proof

ROMANS 15 [26] For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem. [27] It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if THE GENTILES HAVE BEEN MADE PARTAKERS OF THEIR SPIRITUAL THINGS, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.

In Romans we find that the gentiles have been made partakers of the “spiritual things” of the House of Israel.

ROMANS 7 [14] For we know that the LAW IS SPIRITUAL: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Gods law is spiritual.

Peace be with you, what is the two commandments that JESUS gave in the New Covenant? Aren't they the ones that in the Old make the Ten Commandments?
Please look at the first five. Isn't it fulfilling the first commandment of JESUS that is to love your GOD with all your heart, mind, soul and strength.
Please look at the second five. Isn't it fulfilling the second commandment of JESUS that is to love your neighbor and your enemies.
JESUS helped Moses of the Old Covenant to finish the race against evil, giving a new excellent teaching of GOD to abide, as JESUS is; "the way the truth and the life, the only way to the FATHER", proclaiming them as the New Covenant, presenting them to the redeemed people of GOD in initial faith and now continue to walk in, 'the way' (Christian).

Hello FredJames. The 2 commandments were given long before the new covenant in His blood.

MATT.22 [35] Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, [36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?[37] Jesus said unto him, THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.[38] This is the first and great commandment.[39] And the second is like unto it, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF.[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

How is it you believe that we no longer need keep Gods commandments because of what Jesus said in Matthew?

DEUT.6 [5] And THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THINE HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart [17] Ye shall diligently KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee.

Jesus was only quoting scriptures from the old testament. And as you can see in above scripture the way to love GOD is to keep diligently the commandments.

1JOHN 5 [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, WHEN WE LOVE GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

And the new testament verifies the old. In the new testament book of John. When we love God, we keep His commandments.

LEV.19 [17] Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.[18] Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF: I am the LORD.

Again (thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself) Jesus is quoting scripture from the old testament. Do you agree that the people who lived in old testament times were under the 10 commandments. Of course they were. So why when Jesus quotes old testament scripture do you think the 10 commandments are now done away with?

2JOHN1 [5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER.[6] AND THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENTS. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

In John, you can read how we are to love our neighbour according to the NEW TESTAMENT. It’s the same way that it says in the old testament. KEEP GODS 10 COMMANDMENTS. Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever.

Shalom !

Jesus would have told us to " love our enemies " ? Really ? According to the story of the good samaritan told by Jesus, we are NOT to love satan and his demons ! This is utterly disgusting such an abominable demonic doctrine ! How could Jesus tell us to love satan and his demons if He Himself hates them ? Total non sense !

Surely the Lord never told us to love satan and Jesus hates satan ! ( Yes, Jesus hates satan and his demons, didn't you know ? He's not a disgusting and stupid and fake "peace and love" hippie God !!!!!!!!!!) Surely a part of Scriptures in the second covenant was purposefully wrongly translated to fit the satanic agenda of satanist leaders and scholars in Christian clothings !

" Peace and love ", " peace and love " , as the hippies parrot all the time...DISGUSTING !!!

The Lord never came to bring peace on earth !!!

He came to bring the Sword ! :

" Think not that I am come to send peace on earth:
I came not to send peace,
but a sword."
Matthew 10:34 ( KJV )

And as every Christian should know, the Lord is not a Lord of cowards,
He is the Lord of warriors, and at the first resurrection, like it or not, the resurrected saints will fully take part at the final battle of Harmageddon with the Father, Jesus the Son and His angels
against all the armies of the Antichrist !

This is not a battle for the lukewarm ones !

This is a battle for the ebullient ones !

Maranatha !

The contract I know of with Christ is we come to Him with our heavy burden and He gives us rest.

We forget sometimes and pick our burdens back up and need Christ to relieve us of these burdens.

If we are the ones busy working at the law ourselves then we are forgetting who it is who has paid our debt to the Law and who can relieve us of our heavy burdens.

There is plenty of other work to do. Don't be afraid of not being able to work...

Working at the Law is not contrary to anyone.

But the actual law itself is contrary to all of us because none of us are perfect before it.

Galatians 3:10-12
[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.

Amen.

When will people understand the law can only condemn, and lead us to Christ. It can not tell how to live righteous lives, Only that you have failed to live righteous lives.

Christ showed us how in the NT..
