What is this heresy about being an Israelite and not a Christian?

I'm sorry I don't keep up with this fad?

What's the deal with Americans claiming to be Israelites?

When did this fad start? I've never heard a Christian claim this.

Why can't we just call eachother, citizens of the diverse city, instead of holding a title.
Why can't we just preach what's really in the bible?
Is it that hard to really accept the fact we are one body?
Instead of puffing up our chest in the pride being all high and haughty?
Which God called naughty?
There are many Americans we call "fraudy"...
