Thanks for your reply. I am drawing from it that you believe the church has an obligation to adhere to the state's authority then? I understand your reference from Romans 13 as well as Paul's admonishment to pray for all those in authority but I don't believe that means to defer to an antichristian position on anything. Peter said this: " “Whether it is right in the sight of God to give heed to you rather than to God, you be the judge;". We live in a time of very corrupt government that has done an about face when it comes to things pertaining to morality. I have to respectfully disagree here. Marriage is not an invention of government, it was constituted by God. Regardless of government endorsement, I'll not take part in any so called same sex marriage.
Your first question, my answer is not if it goes against the Word of God. I guess what I'm saying is if it gets to the point that the government tells the church how things are gonna be, then yes, you find a minister to marry a man and woman and it will be ok with God, but it won't be ok with the government. Or how about the two (man and woman) don't get married at all and then the Lord judges the government for ALL there abominations. If a minister marry's two homos, then he's no minister of God plain and simple. If there is a minister who is told by the government to marry two homos, and I were the minister, I'd resign. It's only getting uglier in the world and it's a sad state but it must come to pass as scripture says. Fear not the one who takes the body, but fear Him who takes body and soul. Hope you can make sence out of this, I have so much trouble putting my thoughts in order on paper. I was suggesting not to marry as it would be a better thing and would be a blessing as God works only good in those who obey Him. Some times we have to give up our will (marriage) for God's better for us Will. I guess you gotta do what you gotta do when the time comes aye?
