Obedience to the Lord:
crucified to itself(set apart from) what it wants;
consecrated for the Lord being set apart from the world so as to be a light(love, mercy and foregiveness) unto a darkened world by example of its submission to the one in authority over it.
-Being Christ, the one who takes care of the church in return for its obedience and subjection while displaying the virtues set forth in his word-
Jesus didn't ask us to copy him, but more to follow, and obey his commands.
How may we expect others to do so if we don't do so ourselves.
We are in the world but not of it nor friends of the world.
The Lords burden is light
The worlds burden is heavy :)

THE church is all followers of Christ.

Individual groups organise their worship together.
That is all.

The role of the members of the group is to love and care for one another. But each Christian should love all people, in their group, or in other groups, or even non-Christians. So love for others is a given anyway.

If a group wants to help others in wider society as a group that's OK but there is no reason it should. If it doesn't, the individuals may well do things on their own.
The Bible does make it clear that groups in Asia (Turkey) collected for the poor in Jerusalem. But that was for the poor Christians, not for the general population.
Romans 15:26 For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.
1Corinthians 16:3 And when I come, whomever you approve by your letters I will send to bear your gift to Jerusalem.

There is no scripture I'm aware of related to the types of groups we have nowadays with fancy buildings, full-time ministers (wealthy or otherwise) or huge hierarchies of priests, etc..

[h=3]1 Timothy 3[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]Qualifications of Overseers[/h]3 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop,[SUP][a][/SUP] he desires a good work. [SUP]2 [/SUP]A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; [SUP]3 [/SUP]not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money,[SUP][b][/SUP] but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; [SUP]4 [/SUP]one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence [SUP]5 [/SUP](for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); [SUP]6 [/SUP]not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. [SUP]7 [/SUP]Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
[h=3]Qualifications of Deacons[/h][SUP]8 [/SUP]Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money, [SUP]9 [/SUP]holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless. [SUP]11 [/SUP]Likewise, their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things. [SUP]12 [/SUP]Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. [SUP]13 [/SUP]For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
.......those are the qualities the leadership should possess...........here are for the members......
[h=3]Titus 2[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]Qualities of a Sound Church[/h]2 But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: [SUP]2 [/SUP]that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience; [SUP]3 [/SUP]the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things— [SUP]4 [/SUP]that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, [SUP]5 [/SUP]to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded, [SUP]7 [/SUP]in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,[SUP][a][/SUP] [SUP]8 [/SUP]sound speech that cannot be condemned, that one who is an opponent may be ashamed, having nothing evil to say of you.[SUP][b][/SUP]
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, [SUP]10 [/SUP]not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
[h=3]Trained by Saving Grace[/h][SUP]11 [/SUP]For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, [SUP]12 [/SUP]teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, [SUP]13 [/SUP]looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, [SUP]14 [/SUP]who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
hope that helps and is not too long :)

Heb. 10:25 IS the role of the Christian meeting. Some techniques are in I Cor. 14, the whole chapter. Very few churches follow it, and thus you are confused.

no the responsibility of the church is to preach the Gospel and help people understand God's words found in the Bible............................................................................................................................................................................. However the responsibility of members in the church is to help the community. I don't think the church should be building the hospitals, schools, etc. but its members should help the community to build those things and set up a separate organization to raise and manage funds, etc. So that the church itself can focus on the worship of God and spiritual matters. ....................................................................................fundraisers, taxes, have volunteers give their time to build instead of hire people, see if big companies will donate supplies or give a discount for the building of the school or hospital........those kind of things..................church Members should be involved in helping others in their community and support people who want to help by volunteering or donating to the building of hospitals and schools.

Christ built one church. Mark 16: 15 & 16 were told to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel everyone that believes and is baptized shall be saved." That's the work of the church. Also to edify the members. The church should meet Sundays to sing, pray, take the Lord's supper and preaching.

I think the role of the Church is to bring people out of the world and to serve God in the holiness way.

The church should be a place of love and worship and support where it's members do what they can to help one another and the community, believers and unbelievers alike. The best way to draw people in is to offer open arms to everyone, a helping hand to anyone in need, and show the love of Jesus to the world. The church should be teaching this.

If only we did this much the Church would be wayyy better off as a whole.

Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.

You probably mean as an institutional goal, like the Catholic Schools when I was a kid. Churches like that are already failing the test of doing what they should do. They are businesses, not meetings of Christians, and you should consider them as such.

If you have a real church, like I defined it, then they are a group of close knit people sharing their lives in Jesus. If those people feel called to minister in any way at all, I see no problem with it. If God has called this group of people to do this, He always provides whatever they need. You can often recognize a real church by how fast their ministries grow, because God has called them to do this work. But this is very different from the usual plan where you join, and then they expect you to raise money for this and contribute to that.

It says nowhere that the church needs to meet on a Sunday.
That is the day many did meet - because in the early days, the day before (Saturday) most were adhering to the Sabbath until sunset as many (most?) of earliest Christians were Jewish - until Paul's ministry in Asia at least.

There is nothing Biblical that says Christians should meet on a particular day. It is just tradition.
There is nothing Biblical that says Christians should take bread and wine weekly. Jesus just says do this in remembrance of me).

This must be underlined:
[h=3]1Tim.3[/h][15] But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
[16] And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Church worship shouldn't be cliched every time... :)
