  • “And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.” (Genesis 4.15).

What does it mean?

No one really knows what the mark was. My version uses the word sign.

Genesis 9-15
Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is Abel your brother?” And he said, “I do not know. Am I my brother’s keeper?” He said, “What have you done?

The voice of your brother’s blood is crying to Me from the ground. Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand. When you cultivate the ground, it will no longer yield its strength to you; you will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth.”

Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is too great to bear! Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

So the Lord said to him, “Therefore whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold.” And the Lord appointed a sign for Cain, so that no one finding him would slay him.
So all we know is that Cain was not to be killed and bore some type of mark. Only guessing here, but I would think it would be on his
forehead so that others could see it clearly and not kill Cain or they would receive the vengeance of God for killing Cain.

*** God put some kind scar or tattoo on Cain so people knew not to slay him...

  • “And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.” (Genesis 4.15).

What does it mean?
The meaning is there in plain sight.

The problem is...

It's too hard to believe.

I'll probably get mocked for revealing it, but whatever. Nothing new there.

First, meditate on this part...

"Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain"

Did you catch that? Read it again...

"Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain"

God is saying that Cain can and will be killed!

Again and again. Yes! Again and again.

And those that do will have vengeance taken on them sevenfold.

Understand?

Look at what the verse is saying.

God placed a 'Mark' on Cain so that when someone actually *does* kill him (aka tries to), he doesn't die...

"lest any finding him should kill him"

Like I said... too hard to believe.

Thus, the Mark is a type of immortality.

Want proof?

Look at the parallel in the Book of Revelation...

Revelation 9:4
"And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads"

So the Locusts go after the ones that have the Mark of the Beast.

But... the Locusts are NOT ALLOWED TO KILL THE ONES WITH THE MARK...

Revelation 9:5
"And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man"

Why can't the ones with the Mark of the Beast be killed?

Because they have become IMMORTAL...

Revelation 9:6
"And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them"

Understand?

Again... the Mark is a type of immortality.

It is the original promise of the Serpent...

Genesis 3:4-5
"And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die"

"For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil"

Many Christians in this forum will take this Mark unfortunately.

They have already admitted it in posts I've seen.

It will come under the guise of cute and enticing words like "Gene Therapy".

Sounds innocent right?

Most of the posters here have no idea in the world what is coming.

They are too busy arguing over 'Trinity this' and 'Rapture that'.

Sad.

Base12:

Interesting theory. Do you believe Cain is still alive and somewhere on the Earth today? I'm not mocking you by the way. Only curious.

Hmmm....

Nice 'loophole' to survive the flood I suppose.

God killed everyone... yet he didn't.

Could it be!?!?!
