Before I passed out from exhaustion last night; a thought popped into my head...what would Jesus look like today? I mean hypothetically, a modern day Jesus. Would He use an iPhone, would He have a self-driving Tesla, would He go to Star-bucks?? Would He even have a beard!?!?

Granted if you are seeing Jesus back on Earth, be afraid because you missed the rapture; but sometimes I find it greatly difficult to relate to Jesus because the historical times are so vastly different. The behaviour of people is generally the same; but the technological advancements are astounding!

So I thought it would be fun to inspire us to ask; if you were to meet Him, what would Jesus look like today? How would you spot Him in a crowd? What good works could He do now?
(This is some-what a challenge to everyone because my brain fizzled out by all the possibilities; and all I could positively think was- he'd probably be slightly taller! Lol!)

Many blessings!! XooXoo

Mark 6:34
Jesus saw the huge crowd as He stepped from the boat, and He had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So He began teaching them many things.

It's very hard to even imagine really but as for when you said we should be scared if we see Jesus because we missed the rapture-

Revelation 1:7 "Look, he is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see him, even those who pierced him"; and all peoples on earth "will mourn because of him." So shall it be! Amen So really all of us are going to see him again on earth but as for the rapture that is another story as I don't have a clue as for the timing of the rapture

He most certainly would have an android, never an iPhone.

This comes to mind...

For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. To the Jews I became as a Jew, in order to win Jews. To those under the law I became as one under the law (though not being myself under the law) that I might win those under the law. To those outside the law I became as one outside the law (not being outside the law of God but under the law of Christ) that I might win those outside the law. To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. I do it all for the sake of the gospel, that I may share with them in its blessings.

Can I just address this point? If we saw Jesus back on Earth, that wouldn't be the so-called rapture, that would be us living and reigning with Jesus on the New Heavens and the New Earth.

Very few would recognize Him, first because the pictures that most have in their minds are based on the popular depictions, first there was no way of knowing his appearance but yet many portray it, another reason would be because much of what many believe about Him, His ministry and what he taught is very far from what it really was, too many today rely on mans traditions and understanding for guidance, but all we need is the truth, He wants us to know Him now, if we don't, when he does come back it will be too late.....

May I add...

Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?' And the King will answer them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

Sorry!! I think some people are taking this way too literally. This is just an inquisitive exercise because think of what the people thought and experienced being in the presence of Jesus!! His disciples left there work, homes, family to follow Him. People ran and flocked to Him creating camps at night. I love Jesus and I guess have quite a fascination; He is the most poignantly influencial people of all time that will ever walk this Earth!!

I mean zero disrespect, I hold Jesus in absolutely highest regard!! I guess God made me with a very curious mind! :)

Haha! No worries, sister. I've been told I often over-analyse things. What do I think Jesus would look like? He would be very unassuming, both in appearance and behaviour. He wouldn't be about showmanship, he'd be quietly helping in the background and then other times sharing God's Word openly in the streets. It wouldn't be His looks or 'power' that would attract people, but His love and His truth. :)

Revelation: 12. 12. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein. Woe to the earth, and to the sea, because the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, knowing that he hath but a short time.

:smoke: According to the scripture

God bless us all

To represent my brother
just kidding but there is a sense of truth here for each and everyone of us accepted a sign . ... And another truth is to remind all
my brethren :smoke: and my fellows
to continue our works in accordance to our faith and
With the help and mercy of our lord Jesus Christ may
The lord god the father almighty permit all this things according to his will
For the holy ghost the holy spirit shall guide us through in hour of darkness
And if we survive the darkness then our salvation comes next . ...

What Would Modern Jesus Look Like Today?

Pick one of the everyday people.

Jesus would probably wear smart casual clothes that suit someone in their late twenties/early thirties. Nothing that would draw attention to himself. If he used gadgets such as mobiles I imagine they would be at the low end of the price range. He would probably be involved in social work or the medical profession if he wasn't in full time ministry. He would fit into the Messianic
Jewish movement very well!!!

Depends where on earth He came, doesn't it?

As the bible describes Him as not standing out in a crowd, he'd look and behave differently in the US, China, Middle East, Scandinavia .... :)

Hmmm, I imagine him with half- long "sand coloured" hair. No beard. Green eyes (dunno why).
I cannot help but imagine him in a robe (hehe). .... Ok.... Jeans and a comfy cotton shirt.

See; yes I like that!! Probably jeans and a button-up shirt; very regular man. Maybe He would be a Blue Jays fan and wear a base-ball cap? Or possibly wear glasses because He didn't write any books? Maybe lives with room-mate best-friends in an apartment and really enjoys eating pizza! Goes around town on a scooter, listening to loud praise music on Beats headphones. Would stop and chat with people when-ever a prompting; volunteer at local shelters and soup kitchens. Then Jesus would probably have daily sermons at a local park where anyone could attend. Hand out baskets of bread and water. He would be so wise and funny; break down people's defences. Just shower love and mercy!! Be on the cover of Time magazine.

It would be quite an astounding spectacle!!
