Been reading a bunch of stuff...mainly the epistles by Paul. His letters talk about how to live and worship God. My fav scripture is romans 12:1 and Ephesian 2:8 along with a bunch of other stuff. Today I read Hebrews 8 and 9 in which it talks about Jesus is our sacrifice and high priest. And how the old testament was a shadow of better things to come. how Jesus established a better convent between God and man with better promises. Hebrews 9 talks about how the sacrifices of the old testament could not purge or perfect our conscience because it was "carnal ordinances imposed on them until the time of reformation" (jesus death and Resurrection) [verse 10]. Now because of his resurrection Jesus was able to offer himself without spot or blemish to God. Because of this our conscience can now be purged from dead works to serve God whole hearted.[Hebrews 9:13-15]
Also been reading in Romans 6 that even as Jesus died we must consider ourselves dead to sin. You do that by yielding all the members of your body to righteousness thru the holy spirit and by reckoning yourself to be dead to sin and alive to God. Do not yield to sin [Romans 6:11]
Romans chapter 7-8 talks about how we are unclean guilty before God and there is no good in us. But if u seek the things of the spirit and not the things of yourself, it is much easier to please God and live holy. So for this, its every christians reasonable service to be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, to prove the good and acceptable will of God... God's already fought the battle and won, all we have to do is believe and run on in newness of life and victory! Reading King James
