Even if one doesn't want to acknowledge Isaiah will anyone deny that Paul spoke by the SPIRIT of CHRIST so powerfully at work in him

We do not go beyond the written word, for everything God wanted us to know is in the Bible, and if there was something else God wanted us to know,it would be in the Bible, and it s perfect in faith and morals,so there is nowhere else to go.

The reason why I ask is because while the poster ignored both revelation 22 and Isaiah 8 then what about Paul's directive "do not go beyond what is written

are we allowed to go beyond what is written?

In matters of faith and morals?
Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

If I am to live for God...I need every word that He has given.

Everything Christ has revealed binds us to obedience.
Hey deliverance, your posts makes no Sense, if you dont say what you mean. Do you deny that the Bible (66books)is not alone the revealed will of God for us? Who is teaching this?

1. Scripture cannot be broken:
"If he called them gods to whom the word of God came--and the Scripture cannot be broken--..." (John 10:35)

2. Scripture is enough for getting the eternal life:
""Abraham replied, 'They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.'"
(Luke 16:29), the context is about the life after death

3. Scripture is above any other sources of teaching, i.e. over tradition:
" Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?" (Matthew15:3)

When you join these three points together (Scripture is true, Scripture is enough, Scripture is over human additions), you will get the core of Sola Scriptura, IMHO.

Philippians 4:8
8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Paul says whatever you find with these virtues to think on them. He does not say whatever you find within official canon of scripture.

Find this for me. It is written that before any strange gods were among men was I Am, Yahweh.

It is told in the Word how at one time all men knew God but over time different groups made their own gods , drifting away from th eOne True God.

There were just a few remaining who still knew God among whom was Abraham.

With these teachings it is implied the Bible is the true Word of God, but do not jump into it without faith for theire is no understanding, no true knowledge and no true wisdom without the guidance of the Holy Spirit...

You can think of any good movie, music, book, tradition, preaching, deuterocanonical book etc as you wish.

It does not contradict the Sola Scriptura principle.

Sola Scriptura is a rule for establishing teachings binding for all Christians, for so called common church, regarding salvation and other basic things.

You profess to be a Christian, yet, the two Threads you have Authored appear to be designed to discredit the Word of God.

What is the real purpose you are here for?

Why are you questioning the Word of God, or it's Inspired Birth?

After reading a few pages of the OP I got to the following conclusion

- The OP needs Counseling
- The OP is stubborn and most likely only here to cause trouble among us
- The OP has no idea what hes talking about

With that being said. Who wants some chocolate?

Not everything Jesus has revealed to us is recorded in the Holy Bible.
And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen John 21:25

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 2 Peter 1:16
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do. 1Timothy 1:4

Eye witnesses have the proof, and what Jesus taught them, and its in the Bible. The Bible is the Sword, the written word, and the Bible tells us put on the Whole Armour of God.

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11

The word also says.
Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Matthew 4:7

not sure thats what the OP is asking. i thought he was asking is there any spiritual knowledge outside the official canon and it sounds to me like Paul is saying yes.
there are many churches that teach you can only read scriptures they tell you is ok to read.
