Luke 22:19And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying,
"This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me."
20
In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying,
“This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

The word became flesh, then returned back to the father
we are told he ascended and returned back to the Father.
Gods word does not return to him void.

I see the word as his body and his blood being the life within it. (the living word)
This is why Jesus said
'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'

Rev 12
10
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come the salvation and the power
and the kingdom of our God,
and the authority of his Messiah.
For the accuser of our brothers and sisters,
who accuses them before our God day and night,
has been hurled down.
11They triumphed over him
by the blood of the Lamb
and by the word of their testimony;
they did not love their lives so much
as to shrink from death.

The Blood represents life in Christ everlasting

Thats what I take from it anyway
