Brother don't join demonations.

Seek simply to be a follower of the Christ. That seems to be the best answer I can think of that's Biblical wise.

would you recommend a person to a church where each weak 60 percent of the congregation commit adultery?

no
I would not either
that is why I can no longer recommend a denomination

demonizeation causes separation, the Almighty wants us to be as one Church without spot or wrinkle. It may be better now adays to go find a cave and be alone with The Almighty and His word for a while a lot of these buildings today seem to cause confusion, separation, instead of bringing us into oneness with Him. Christ Jesus be with you all. Amen.

From what you said you believe in your OP you are describing Lutheran doctrine. I would study the different faith traditions you are interested in and attend services, allow The Lord to lead you to where he wants you.

your beliefs are pretty much lutheran according to your initial post...

however i should warn you that there is one extremely liberal lutheran church that no longer teaches much of that...at least not in practice...namely the 'evangelical lutheran church in america' or ELCA...

the lutheran churches in the united states that actually teach lutheran doctrine would be the 'lutheran church missouri synod' or LCMS...'wisconsin evangelical lutheran synod' or WELS...'evangelical lutheran synod' or ELS...and the 'church of the lutheran confession' or CLC...LCMS churches can sometimes be 'hit or miss' doctrinally because the LCMS is still coming out of a major controversy between its theological conservatives and its formerly dominant liberal wing...

I'd suggest a good bible church that would disciple you in the word. Preferably one that is not affiliated with any denomination but your Eucharist thingy would eliminate any good bible church. Of course with good discipleship you may change that belief.

The Lutherans are still trying to get back into the Catholic church so I would stay away from them.

For the cause of Christ

Hi Yogosans, you might try a non denomination church. I live in a very small town so not alot of options. There are only the Catholic church and the Dunkard brethern (similar to Amish) and my little Faith missionary church. We are a polyglot, we have some differences but we all believe in Jesus as the ONLY way to salvation and if we disagree about stuff like pretribulation or post tribulation, sprinkling as babies or baptised as an adult, KJV or amplified Bible, it doesn't matter because we all love and serve the same God.

I would read the belief statements of each denomination, or independent church, then try some of the ones where you agree with the statement.

I would stay away from Independent or fundamentalist Baptist Churches - many are legalist and controlling. I go to a North American Baptist, and individual churches are very Bible believing, but it is church by church. I would also say to stay away from Southern Baptist Churches. I have many friends in this denomination, and I attended their seminary, but the US branch is very legalist, to say nothing of all kinds of divisions. But of course, you could find an individual church that completely suited your needs.

As for Lutheran, some good churches, but a lot more "high" church. But a lot of people like that. I know some wonderful Lutherans, and they range from totally liberal to evangelical to highly conservative. Again, depends upon the branch.

Methodist is a bit too apostate for me. I am not Reformed, I agree that there is no place in the Bible where God predestines people to hell. But I do believe in eternal security, and Methodist in its historical sense is totally Arminian. Of course, there could be great variety between churches.

Someone posted here the other day about a Baptist pastor demanding his congregation speak in tongues! Not exactly Baptist doctrine.

Find a church where Christ is glorified and followed. That is the most important thing!

To the OP, maybe you should study the reformed theology before disagreeing with it. I'm not saying that it's the flawless church with flawless teachings in everything, but the bible does show unconditional predestination!/election. Too many bible verses to discount...(speaking from what I see and believe personally)

You don't have too, but I encourage you too. :)

Around where I live you have a lot of little independent churches not connected to any denominations. The only problem is that things like legalism and weird theology tend to pop up a lot. You either go to a church and they give you a list of movies and TV shows that you are not allowed to watch (if they even let you watch movies at all) or you go to another church and they bring out the snakes. Personally I like the idea of denominations. Then you kind of know what you are getting into.

I was thinking either Methodist, Baptist, or Lutheran. Im confused on which one to choose. I believe in Faith alone saves us, sola scriptura, immortality of the soul, literal hell and heaven, and Jesus is present in the Eucharist and of course the Holy Trinity.

Any suggestions, no Calvinist Churches please and thanks. (PS im new and IDK if this is the right forum)

I am not a member of any church, group, sect, cult, gang, club, organization, etc. No church thus far that I have found, teaches the truth. I do not attend any church. All churches have their own little "gotchas" that lure people into them one way or another. All should be called the "Church of the path of least resistance" For anything goes now days. I stick to what the bible and Christ teach from their lips, and I do not care what man says.

I'm a little confused at the title of this thread, as it says which 'Demon-ation' is best. My answer to that would be - none! If the question is Which denomination is best, my advice is to seek Bible-centred teaching. It also depends on individual churches themselves, and how they are run.
In my opinion, church is meant to be family. Too often churches 'split' themselves into groups, like the kids group, the youth group, the mums group, the senior group etc. But the whole church needs to spend time together - and I don't just mean Sunday morning looking at the preacher.
Use your discretion and ask God to place you where He would have you.
I like the "demon-ation". The churches fit the bill. Seems like Jesus has been taken out, and sustituted with Paul.

The last supper represented the last sacrifice. The bread is the flesh which is every Word that comes out of God's mouth. The blood is His death for our sins. God saves with the Spirit, not the flesh. So then why call yourselves cannibals to eat that which is no longer with us? For Jesus has become a quickening spirit and is no longer flesh, being that He is the firstborn and the first fruits which means that He is now what we will be.

As well, who has taught y'all to discount Scripture? You say "sola scriptura" and yet you do not believe when you read that there are certain ones, ungodly men, preordained to the condemnation since before the foundation of the world. You claim God is a liar and lacKing justice if you say otherwise while not in ignorance of those words.

God's church is in the hearts of His children, and we make friends of the world. Jesus taught in the temple a little, but taught outside a lot. Jesus called His disciples out from underneath the sun. He did not call them all from under the roof of a temple or sanctuary. And when He called them, He called them OUT.

The institutions have a reason to exist for many would starve and die if these organizations did not exist. Now they may think they earn Heaven when they do not, but God also fed His people through the Babylonians.

Those who seek a church seek help. Those who seek fellowship are lonely. Those who seek the Truth find God. Those who help others find fellowship. Those who find fellowship find the church. Those who find the church find hope. Those who find hope find peace.

Christian Chat is an excellent forum representing the synagogue of old, wherein all types are found. But the Brethren are not found under a banner or ensign and do not anchor into the earth neither root themselves in the earth, but our root is in the Lord.

When I come here to share or to be encouraged, I am in church. When I hang out with the homeless, I am in church even on the streets. My body is the temple . Therefore when am I not in church? Therefore now you know that when you sin, it is as if you performed unseemingly at the altar in front of the congregation. This God has been trying to teach us through signs and likenesses and metaphors and structures. When will you stop trying to find the Lord in a mission statement or manifesto?

I do not say come out, but the Lord does. I love you all.

I am also compelled to say that the Lord seeks to save the flesh as evidenced by His statement that He will shorten tribulation or else no flesh should be saved. But this talks about salvation of the flesh still before judgment and not that of the soul. For God has said, "flesh and blood shall not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven." And we are told we will be made quickening spirits. Now haven't the angels taken on the form of flesh? And hasn't God? Therefore a quickening spirit has the potential to manifest into flesh and blood. This must be possible, for will there not be a New Heaven AND a New Earth? So part of the mystery of our flesh is revealed. We will have Liberty.

I hope that church is enjoyable for you OP.

Man made denominations did not exist in the first century. There is only one church and Christ said He would build it (Matt. 16:18). Read Acts chapter 2 and you will note that new Christians did not join a church ( only one existed) but were added to it.
The first century contained Ebionites (which may have been Jewish Christians), Essenes, Thomas Christians, Pauline Christians, various groups of Gnostic Christians, and so on. There was a great diversity of Christianity in the 1st century. Messianic Judaism, from which Christianity sprang, was all the rage and Christianity reflects that diversity.
