It won't lose you your salvation, but when you stop doing God's commands, it's a sign of bad things in your spiritual life. You need to assess the situation immediately! The options are: You were never saved, or you are a Christian but are in a time of backsliding and need to cry out to God for help. Either way, crying out to God is most effective in this situation :)

What If the person died before they could do a good physical work, would they still be saved before GOD?
.
We call actions without involving our heart in order to achieve righteousness legalism.

It is legalism when a person does physical acts alone to gain righteouness. Our emotions and right mind must be involved.

If a person loves the Lord and watches for ways to obey Him it counts as righteousness. If we go to the Lord telling Him we did something good, now pay me for this good act I did, then the act doesn't count.

Paul explains this well in Romans 2-3 as he speaks of circumcision of the flesh and not of the heart.
