So do men bring women to salvation considering a man is EVERY woman's head?
Im not sure what your saying. I understand the verse your
using but not the logic. Tell me what salvation has to do with
it. And try to go slower and not try to think you know what
i believe. To just answer your question..No.

What does it mean to you, that the head of EVERY woman is the man, and that the head of EVERY man is Christ?

"But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ," (1 Cor. 11:3).

The concept of Federal Headship in the fall. It was Eve who first sinned. But sin entered the world through Adam, not through Eve. Romans 5:12 says, "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned." This is because Adam represented humanity and creation. When Adam fell, we fell. This is why it says, "...in Adam all die," (1 Cor. 15:22). Also, Romans 5:15 says, "For if by the transgression of the one [Adam] the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many."

"For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; 9 for indeed man was not created for the woman's sake, but woman for the man's sake. 10 Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels," (1 Cor. 11:8-10). this is not a cultural thing.

"I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. In pain you shall bring forth children; yet your desire shall be for your husband, and he shall rule over you," (Gen. 3:16).

"Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her; 26 that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she should be holy and blameless," (Eph. 5:25-27).

Finally, the headship issue is an issue of order, not of who is better or more important. The husband is the head of the wife in the family and he has the responsibility of guiding his family to a closer relationship with the Lord. God will require it of him on the day when all our deeds are judged by God.

Christ is the head of man as God is the head of Christ. Its about Gods order. Thats most of the story.
But i think you have something to add. Please do! Since you capped EVERY im thinking you might see
an exception, please tell...but i see you have put in an added EVERY..maybe thats a clue. :)

Because I swanted to see how many peoples mind sets are man being superior then woman
Wise lady. I have worked for several woman pastors, and known many. Even the election polls are often wrong, so don't put too much stock in this one. I have only two cautions: we sometimes call them pastors in our own ignorance. Many are apostles, prophets, teachers, or many other callings as well. "Pastoring" is where they get their salary and status, so they can follow God. Second, any one of these is not a job, it is a lifechange. Another reason that the Greek word changes to to remind us that when we step across a line to follow Jesus in a full-time ministry, we enter a whole new dimension of the Kingdom of god.

You must follow your calling.

(I might have said: "You should follow your calling" ... but I do not think you have been presented with a choice here.)

1 corinthians 11:3;11

3*But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Man is mankind

Woman is residue of the spirit. Our help meet.

11*Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.

God formed the man of the dust, then breathed the breath of life (spirit) into his nostrils. This union of flesh and spirit is true marriage and a living soul. For truly the man (flesh) is NEVER without the woman (residue of the spirit) and vise versa.

For this reason let no man pull apart what God has put together.

Ok, this is very important. What is the relation to woman becoming Pastors(overseers)
do you think this section of scripture has?

And if you care to give a comment on what you think youve put togather
with !cor11 and Gen.

If you are saying where the word man is used its means man and woman. Id say
yes sometimes it does and others times it doesnt. The context usually is obvious.

Sweets i wasnt chatting to you but another person

I have many woman that have taught me and ministered to me greatly.
And im not, havnt, nor ever will say woman have not part in the ministry.
They all do. I wish there were more woman ministers. I do have an opinion
on the overseer/pastor role that i think is not to be a role woman are to be in.
As far as overseeing an entire body male and female.

I think people are pretty jumpy in this area and very quick to judge.
you can do that to me if you think you must...but youd prolly be wrong.
Seldom do these threads do much to get past the surface before
emotions take over.

So i think ill go now i just remembered i wanted to go email Kathi,
i had some questions about Zech 14. :)

Let me help you out.

Your opinion is not God's, therefore, it's no opinion of mine.

I , too, believe women best complementary to men pastoring, just standing by their man. But, that may not be God's plan and seems to me like Jeremiah 29:11 is not sexist, either is the Holy Spirit who shows us 'even the deeper things of God (1 Cor. 2 ) :)

Sounds like you're not concerned with what scripture says, so much as what it can say.

Green, please dont take what i say out of context then run with it.
It becomes close to slander. If you want to make a comment please do.
If you want to question me thats fine also.
ive almost always said opinion in contrast to those who say their words are led by the Spirit

I am sorry... but women are not allowed to minister/pastor in church at all.

1 TIMOTHY 2:11-14
11. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
12. But I suffer ( PERMIT ) not a woman to teach, nor to usurp ( HAVE ) authority over the man, but to be in silence.
13. For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
14. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Which also leads us to...

1 Corinthians 14:33-35
33. For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
34. Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.
35. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

We must ask ourselves daily what is more important... GOD'S HOLY TRUTH... or how we make GOD'S HOLY WORD fit our needs and beliefs.

I am so sorry... but you can testify and give witness to others... but ministering/pastoring is against GOD'S HOLY TRUTH.

For the Church is a symbol of a woman and the pulpit is a symbol of man... which is a symbol of GOD'S ordained way of a godly marriage. Just as stated in GOD'S HOLY TRUTH how a man and woman become one.

This is why also woman cannot minister/pastor because for then it becomes an abomination before GOD as an ungodly marriage union.

Therefore... 1 Corinthians 14:35 states it all according to GOD'S own HOLY TRUTH.

GOD never changes... GOD is PERFECT in every way... so therefore... GOD'S HOLY TRUTH never changes... no matter what... because it's perfection.
