Christ is all wisdom and understanding. His dwelling in us as the spoken word, not the written word is how we obtain His mind and truths. Ink on paper is not enough. We have trained and studied theologians who don't know Christ from the back end of a mule. Why? The tree of knowledge is mans desired path to God but it only shores up his arrogance of self attainment. Self, self, and more self!
We are of Abraham. He had no written word. God spoke to him personally. He walked by faith, establishing the promises by faith, yet seeing them afar off, His faith pleased God.
The first Christians turned the world upside down for Christ because they had the Word dwelling within them. Up-side-down: Pride-side-to humility.
They had no bibles, no Christian book stores, no tapes, no cd's, no mega star celebrity preachers, just faith in Christ and submission to Him when they heard His name and message the first time.
The Holy Spirit was more than enough to revolutionize their lives forever. Souls were being saved by the thousands and that without advertising campaines, PA systems, and rock concert presentations.
No christian movies, no top of the line music bands, no promises of wealth and health, no begging for hard cash by hirelings, no selling of high priced tickets to the auditoriums,(the poor stand outside), no seminary trained professionals, no bible schooled clerics, no self professed hierarchy, in a word, no mentally educated or trained leadership with polished oratory skills. The way of carnal knowledge was the way of religion and death.
Only by transfusion of God with our spirit brings His life, His mind into our being. His understanding by His 'still small voice'.
I realize it seems I digressed a bit, but my point being this. All I mentioned are the works of man and his understanding, his idea of working the kingdom and it is futile at best. Flesh is flesh and spirit is spirit.
We must do nothing...nothing without His prompting of the Spirit. He works in us both the will and to do of His good pleasure.
Did you get it! He works in us to do........
So the answer would be 'yes'! Christ alone in us the hope of glory! The hope of seeing as He sees, as He reveals His secrets to us.
