I was a virgin and dating a twice divorced woman. Those verses concerned me. I prayed about it and I got the impression that it is better to err on the side of mercy than judgment. We have been married for seventeen years now.
It is far easier to judge someone as being unworthy of your love than to mercifully love them in spite of their past. But that is how Jesus treats me. Who am I to do any less for those around me.
