As a sidenote: I have chosen to go back to the Hebrew name for God, because I have had it pressed on my heart that I need to be clearly identified with the God of Israel, The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. So it’s going to be a bit of a transition to change the habit through my speech and writing. So please be gracious with me. Also I know I will be spending a lot of time explaining what “YHWH” and Yeshua means, because it’s not commonly used. It’s even strange for my tongue. (But this also gives me the opportunity to share more, so I thank YHWH for that)

Dear YHWH
Before I even open your word, I come before you Lord and I thank you for this day. I thank you Lord for another opportunity to seek you and know you more. I thank you Lord, that even though this is a time of heartache for me, that You are among us, Your hand is with us, and You will not leave us. Lord I ask that Your purposes would be done through these things. I ask You Lord that you would draw out the sin like poison and cleanse the depths of our hearts. May your will be done in us and through us. I ask You Lord to not merely gain knowledge of Your word, but that when we are presented with Your truth that we would cling onto it, that we would meditate on Your word, and that we would obey You as You lead us. I ask you Lord to help us to obey You in the way You would have us, and not in the way we would choose. May we obey you and worship you as living sacrifices. I thank You Lord, my YHWH, I praise You. You alone are worthy of Praise. I also ask You Lord to prepare our hearts, like a farmer prepares the soil before planting his crops. That the seed may take root. Help us not to harden our heart's against you. May we obey Your voice, may we listen to You. I ask You Lord to silence every voice, every thought that is not of you that is coming against us. May they become silent, and be choked out. May we cast down EVERY thought that is not from You, or not in line with Your word. May we not only accept You, but reject everything that is contrary to You. May we be set apart as Your Holy people, may we glorify You today. Amen.

To all men reading this: One thing that comes to mind as I do this devotion and plan to present it to you later is this. According to YHWH's word, I don't believe a woman is meant to lead a man. So I am conscious of that as I prepare this. So I do this carefully and humbly, and I pray that YHWH speaks to you through His word that I am presenting to you today.

The first verses I would like to share is Hebrews 3:7-15

"Be Faithful 7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:
“Today, if you will hear His voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, In the day of trial in the wilderness, 9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, And saw My works forty years.

10 Therefore I was angry with that generation, And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, And they have not known My ways.’ 11 So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.’”

12 Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living YHWH; 13 but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end, 15 while it is said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.”

These verses are a reference to when the Israelites were lead out of Egypt (keep in mind Egypt represents sin and bondage) and they were lead into the wilderness, where they got the opportunity to be lead directly by God, day and night. To see his daily provision; water flowing from the rock (That represents Yeshua) and mana from the sky (that represents our spiritual food from YHWH), to watch their enemies fall before their eyes. During the time in the wilderness, YHWH gave the Israelites specific instructions to follow. Such as only gathering enough mana for one day (and burning the remainders) and collecting extra the day before the Sabbath for they were not supposed to go searching for mana on the Sabbath. Yet the Israelites did not obey these instructions, and because of that each day they disobeyed was another day out in the wilderness and they were not able to enter YHWH's rest, or blessings. (The promised land/promises of YHWH )

Look back at verse 10: It says that YHWH observed that the Israelites always went astray in "their heart" and that they "have not known His ways. (John 14:15 says "15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments." The Israelites heart's were far from YHWH, its clearly displayed through their disobedience/laziness, because throughout the Torah YHWH calls us again and again to obedience) Now YHWH is just, and though He is merciful and day and after for forty years gave His people another chance to obey Him, another chance to seek Him. There were two men (Joshua and Caleb) who were faithful to Him. YHWH would not be just to allow those who were unfaithful to enter the promised land (promises of YHWH) with those who were faithful. So YHWH purposed, and swore in verse 11 "So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest." (Keep in mind that apart from YHWH we will not have rest, we will be like restless wanderers within our hearts...Which is ironic because if you think about it, what did the Israelites do for forty years? They were wandering, wandering in the wilderness, never able to enter the promises rest, or peace of YHWH.

Romans 12: 1-2 "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of YHWH , that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, Holy, acceptable to YHWH, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of YHWH."

I was listening to a podcast called, "How to find God's will?" By Andrew Wommack, and it led me to Romans 12:1. We are all called to be living sacrifices. It is our reasonable service to God. This is the will of God for us.

Apart from God, there is no rest, no peace, no purpose. We are so blessed.

Jesus Christ revealed Himself as God (YHWH) in the flesh. Now we pray in the name of Jesus. As He asked us to.

Jesus Christ IS GOD. And we, as Christians bear His name. We praise His name. We lift our hands to His name. It is the name of Jesus that every one will eventually have to bow down to.

Just a side note, but a woman did lead many men in the OT. Her name was Deborah, and she was a reigning Judge. God does not show favorites between either sex. He anoints whom He anoints as a vessel for Him to use.

You got so caught up by my choice to use the Hebrew name for "God" (YHWH) and the fact that I stated I don't believe women are meant to lead men, that you missed the entire message. The Hebrew name for Jesus is "Yeshua " (ישוע) meaning "Salvation." Anyways, I already clarified above why I have made this choice, it is to be distinctly recognized as serving the God of Israel, the one and only true God.

Regarding Deborah, it was actually a act of judgement while she reigned.

The start of men ruling over women is found in Genesis 3
"[SUP]16 [/SUP]To the woman He said:“I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be for your husband,

And he shall rule over you.”

The new testament says in Timothy 2:12
[SUP]"[/SUP]And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence."
